WB's Green Lantern & Sucker Punch Both Set to Show in 3D

So now Warner Brothers is going 3D crazy? I guess they're more than satisfied with the way Clash of the Titans turned out in 3D. Our friends at Box Office Mojo (via SlashFilm) updated their release schedule with new listings for five upcoming WB movies that will now be going 3D. The obvious two are the final Harry Potter movies, which we expected to be shown in 3D anyway. They also mention Legend of the Guardians, which we just debuted a teaser for, and also expected to see in 3D. However, I was not expecting these last two - DC's Green Lantern and Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, both of which will be shown in 3D as well.
To be honest, this isn't all that surprising, but it could be considered exciting. We already know Hollywood is going 3D crazy, it just took a little while for Warner Brothers to join in. But now that they have, they've decided to go ahead and convert the five or so biggest upcoming movies to 3D (give or take Chris Nolan's Inception, because he can do whatever he wants). Unfortunately, I think WB is going to be converting most of these movies to 3D in post-production and not shooting any of them in 3D from the start. Soon that kind of decision will backfire on some studio and (hopefully) cause them to shoot 3D the way it should be shot.
Martin Campbell (seen in the photo above) is directing Green Lantern, which stars Ryan Reynolds, Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Blake Lively, and Tim Robbins. Shooting begins later this month and WB has set a June 17th, 2011 summer release next year. Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch has already finished shooting and is currently slated for release in the usual Zack Snyder spring release spot on March 25th, 2011 next year as well. Stay tuned for more updates on both movies! Which one are you most excited to see in 3D?
Update: For anyone who was doubting this, the news has been confirmed by THR. They don't say anything else or confirm that these will be converted in post to 3D, but it is official - both films will hit theaters in 3D!
