Watch: Cute, Musical First Two Minutes of Blue Sky's Animated 'Rio'
We don't normally post these "first five minutes" clips because I'm opposed to clips, but I was watching this over the shoulder of my friend Peter from SlashFilm, and I am totally sold. Fox has debuted on Bing the first two minutes of the animated movie Rio from Blue Sky Studios (of Ice Age) and it's a very musical, very fun, and very cute introduction to this charming flick. The voices in it are: Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, Jemaine Clement, Rodrigo Santoro, Jamie Foxx, George Lopez and Leslie Mann. I really suggest checking this out, it's just so much fun, and that macaw is SO frickin' cute! Watch the intro below and enjoy!

First Look: Bateman & Reynolds in David Dobkin's 'The Change-Up'
Universal just debuted some individual photos as a 2011 preview (via RopeofSilicon) and one of them that I thought was worth sharing is for the summer comedy called The Change-Up that stars Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman. The supporting cast also includes the illustrious Olivia Wilde as well as Leslie Mann and Alan Arkin. Change-Up is another classic body switch story where a responsible family man (Bateman) trades bodies with his lazy, man-child of a best friend. The just looks fun because I'm guessing this is after the switch and Ryan looks like he's freakin' out. But if I had to choose, I'd see Green Lantern this summer.

Streisand & Rogen's Road-Trip Comedy 'My Mother's Curse' Greenlit
If you can remember back to June 2009 (big request, eh?), we posted an article about a project called My Mother's Curse that will be some sort of a road-trip comedy with Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand, which is a very odd pairing of actors, if I can say. After a few years, Paramount has finally given the project a greenlight and Hollywood Reporter says shooting starts in the spring. Anne Fletcher (Step Up, 27 Dresses, The Proposal) will direct the movie from a script by Dan Fogelman (Cars, Fred Claus, Bolt, Tangled, Crazy Stupid Love). Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn are producing along with Evan Goldberg. More info below.

William Fichtner Gets Badass on a 'Drive Angry 3D' Motion Poster!
The Accountant is here. I'm not a big fan of motion posters, but this one for Drive Angry 3D (via STYD) is pretty damn cool, primarily because it starts with a close-up of William Fichtner then zooms out through carnage to finally show Amber Heard and Nicolas Cage on the official poster. The movie hits theaters in February and those who have seen it say it's good, including Ryan of STYD: "A film that's not afraid to pull a few punches and have a blast wrangling all of the elements I've ever loved... Some people might call it a an overload, I call this a goddamn party." Check out the poster below, but watch quickly as it'll load instantly!

Mark Waters to Helm Beatles-Centric Time Travel Comedy 'Get Back'
Back in November of 2009 we heard that actor Jason Lee (The Incredibles, Dogma) was looking to make his feature directorial debut with Get Back, a story about two music-obsessed friends who time travel to 1966 London to prevent John Lennon from meeting Yoko Ono, who they blame for the break-up of the Fab Four. But things get complicated when one of the guys gets caught up in a love triangle between the infamous lovers. However, Variety now reports Mark Waters (who is currently shooting Mr. Popper's Penguins with Jim Carrey) will now direct this promising time travel comedy featuring British imported band The Beatles.

First Look: Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz in 'Dream House' Thriller
It's been over a year since we've heard anything about Dream House, the forthcoming psychological thriller from director Jim Sheridan (Brothers). But now we have our first still from the film featuring Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz looking very uneasy at a little girl in the foreground. Since they look rather terrified, I'm guessing this girl isn't their daughter and is one of the spirits left behind in their new home where a grisly murder took place previously. While Brothers resulted in some decent performances, the film felt somewhat incomplete, so maybe Sheridan can step his game up for a decent thriller this year.

Sundance 2011 Quick Reviews: 'Salvation Boulevard' & 'Homework'
This year Kevin Smith returned to Sundance with his second religion focused film Red State (read my review here). Also at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival this year is another film taking on religion called Salvation Boulevard from director George Ratliff (Joshua). Since Smith's Red State is a horror film and Salvation Boulevard is a comedy, the two films couldn't be more different. However, they both seem to have one trait in common: neither of them are funny. Yes, despite a cast that includes Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear, Jim Gaffigan, Jennifer Connelly, Marisa Tomei and Ed Harris this movie needs a comedy miracle.

Exclusive: Adam Sandler May Be Circling a Project Called 'Fat Man'
We've seen Adam Sandler as Satan's son, a dimwitted waterboy, an Israeli hair stylist, an angry golfer, and soon a woman in Jack & Jill, but how about as a very fat dude who weighs 800 pounds? We ended up with a interesting scoop the other day while speaking with Miguel Arteta, director of Cedar Rapids, at Sundance. During our interview (coming soon) we asked him about what films he has lined up next. He told us he's not formally attached to anything yet, but is very interested in a project titled Fat Man that supposedly Sandler is circling as well. And yes, the main character is an 800lbs. fat man who has a love affair with his nurse.

Sundance 2011: 'Margin Call' is a Engaging Thriller About Numbers
Last year at Sundance, they brought a movie set entirely in a coffin and it was one of the most intense films of the fest. This year, they brought a movie about stocks, numbers and equations that is also one of the most thrilling movies here that had the entire audience on the edge of their seat. J.C. Chandor's ensemble drama Margin Call is a thriller set mostly in an office building on the eve of the 2008 financial crisis. It was one of my most anticipated films at Sundance and although it didn't knock me on my ass, it definitely delivered. Riveting, engaging, compelling, fascinating are interchangeable words I could use to describe this great flick.

Watch: Full Trailer for AnnaSophia Robb's Surfer Flick 'Soul Surfer'
Ready to be inspired surf-girl style? FilmDistrict debuted a full trailer for Soul Surfer, the story of a surfer girl, played by 17-year-old actress AnnaSophia Robb, who loses her arm in a shark attack and must gain the courage to head back into the ocean after the traumatic experience. The trailer is from Entertainment Weekly and can be watched below. The cast includes: Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt, Jeremy Sumpter, Kevin Sorbo, Craig T. Nelson and Carrie Underwood in her feature acting debut. This isn't really my cup 'o tea, but I'm impressed by the visual effects and Robb looks like she's giving a hell of a performance.

Mia Wasikowska Joins 'Stoker', Jodie Foster & Carey Mulligan Drop
Initially we heard director Ridley Scott might helm Stoker a story scripted by "Ted Foulke" which tells the story of a moody teenager whose mysterious uncle comes back into her family's lives after the death of her father. Carey Mulligan and Jodie Foster were attached to star and it seemed like the leading ladies were still attached when Park Chan-wook came on board to direct the film. But now Deadline reports Foster and Mulligan have dropped out of the project and Chan-wook will instead be directing Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) in the dramatic thriller which is still being produced by Ridley Scott's production banner

Benjamin Walker Finally Cast as 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'
"Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new actor, conceived by Mrs. Walker..." Deadline reports that up-and-coming 28 year old actor Benjamin Walker has landed the lead role in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, that awesome new adaptation of Seth Graham-Smith's novel that's being directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted). Walker appeared in Flags of Our Fathers, All Saints Day and Coach, and was in the running for Hank McCoy in X-Men: First Class, but it looks like this will be his breakout role. He beat others like Eric Bana, Adrien Brody, Oliver Jackson-Cohen & Josh Lucas.
