Being Elmo

The magic of "Sesame Street" is a part of many children's lives. Broadcast in dozens of languages and many countries around the world, the span of lovable characters like Big Bird and Cookie Monster are iconic and loved everywhere. But one particular man seems to have been born for the likes of "Sesame Street." Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey tells the story of Kevin Clash, the voice and hands behind the red, furry creature Elmo. This new documentary follows Clash from his childhood days of crafting a puppet out of his father's trench coat lining to the present where he's one of the most respected puppeteers working today.

Official Poster Debuts for Joe Wright's 'Hanna' with Saoirse Ronan

Saoirse Ronan as Hanna

Adapt or Die. Yea, that's the edgy/odd tagline they chose for this. Focus Features has unveiled the official poster for Joe Wright's Hanna, his new international action film starring young actor Saoirse Ronan as an assassin trained by her father, played by Eric Bana. We thankfully already got to see the first trailer for this late last year (which included some of the Chemical Brothers new score for the film) and now we've got a poster to go along with it. Not much to this new one sheet, just a good look at Ronan's very blue eyes. This looks like the same outfit and locale as in the first look photo from last year. Check it out in fullsize below!

Simon West Wants to Make 'Con Air 2' & Salvador Dali Fantasy Film

Con-Air

We already know that Nicolas Cage will re-team with director Simon West for the action thriller Medalliion, the story of a father and former master thief who has only a few hours to find his daughter when she is kidnapped and locked in the trunk of a New York medallion taxi cab. However, apparently West is interested in working with Cage for a sequel to one of my favorite action flicks from the 90's. Crave Online recently spoke with the filmmaker who revealed that one of his current dream projects is Con-Air 2, the sequel to the 1997 high-flying, crazy action flick with Nicolas Cage aboard a plane full of dangerous convicts.

Kate Hudson & James Franco Join Different Linda Lovelance Biopic

Kate Hudson and James Franco

Honestly, I don't know how James Franco has time to sleep or sit on the toilet for more than a few seconds everyday. We just recently heard that Franco will direct and star in an adaptation of The Night Stalker along with the plethora of other projects in the works. Now Deadline reports Franco is in discussions to play pornographer Chuck Traynor in a biography of Linda Lovelace, the porn star turned anti-porn advocate. In addition, Kate Hudson apparently has the offer to play the titule role in Lovelace. The two will play the husband and wife who made waves in the adult film industry with the infamous 1972 porno Deep Throat.

James Gandolfini Cast in David Chase's New Film 'Twylight Zones'

James Gandolfini

After finishing up HBO's Sopranos a few years back, actor James Gandolfini has finally been getting back into acting in feature films again. He gave a great performance in last year's Sundance film Welcome to the Rileys and looks to have booked a couple more big roles. Deadline reports that Gandolfini has been cast in Sopranos creator David Chase's next project called Twylight Zones, a film set in New Jersey in the 1960's that focuses on a rock 'n roll band named The Twylight Zones, of which he'll play the disapproving father of one of the members, played by John Magaro. In addition, Gandolfini is also looking at two other projects.

Sundance 2011: Fun Video Review of 'The Greatest Movie Ever Sold'

Morgan Spurlock from The Greatest Movie Ever Sold

A few days ago I posted my written review of Morgan Spurlock's awesome new Sundance documentary The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, a film that I absolutely loved, but I want to keep talking about it just because it deserves more exposure. So much so, that I've decided to also post this video review that Peter & Germain from SlashFilm recorded with me one morning while waiting in line for another movie. Because the film is all about product placement, and is officially sponsored by and titled "POM Wonderful Presents," we had a lot of fun recording and talking about the doc. It's worth watching in addition to my review, so check it out!

That 'Evil Dead' Reboot May Still Be Alive, But When Will We See It?

Evil Dead

This is another one of those franchises that has had rumors and rumors about sequels, prequels and reboots for years. Most Evil Dead fans are waiting for Bruce Campbell to return to that universe for more undead madness, but Sam Raimi has moved up in Hollywood, focusing on blockbusters instead of horror (give or take Drag Me to Hell). Our last update on a potential reboot of the Evil Dead series was back in early 2009, when Raimi revealed that he was looking at getting a new director to take a crack at rebooting the franchise with their own style. There's a brand new quote from a producer and it's hopeful, but I'm still not optimistic.
