Louis Leterrier Directing Illusionists Heist Thriller 'Now You See Me'

Louis Leterrier

This sounds awesome! Director Louis Leterrier gets a bad rap for both The Incredible Hulk and last year's Clash of the Titans, but I still think he is a great director and I'm always looking forward to whatever he has coming up. The Playlist reports, with confirmation from Leterrier, that he'll next be directing a heist movie called Now You See Me for Summit, with an original script written by Boaz Yakin (The Rookie, Death in Love, Prince of Persia) & Edward Ricourt. Here's the great concept: a crack FBI squad is caught in a game of cat-and-mouse with a super-team of the world's greatest illusionists, who pull off a series of bank heists

MGM Planning a 'Mr. Mom' Remake, Another 'Poltergeist' and More

MGM

Everyone was really pleased when MGM started getting back on its feet again for the November 2012 return of James Bond, but now the studio is really trying to get back in the swing of things, for better or worse. For it's big return, MGM is roaring and ready to get back to its abandoned remakes/reboots of Poltergeist and RoboCop (likely without once attached director Darren Aronofsky anymore). In addition, the studio is also interested in remaking the 1983 Michael Keaton led, John Hughes written comedy Mr. Mom and the 1980 music centric flick The Idolmaker. Believe it or not, I'm actually okay with every one of these remakes.

Watch: Second Official Theatrical Trailer for Marvel's 'Thor' Lands!

Marvel's Thor Trailer

"The battle comes to Earth..." Marvel has unveiled the full theatrical trailer for Thor, this time coming in at a lengthy two-and-a-half minutes and packed with plenty of near-finished VFX and tons more action than we've seen before. Thor stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, as well as Natalie Portman, Kat Dennings, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Ray Stevenson, Rene Russo, plus Tom Hiddleston as Loki, who we haven't seen too much of yet. Yahoo debuted the trailer that comes on top of last year's first teaser and a Super Bowl spot that didn't impress many. But maybe this will finally have an impact? Check out the new trailer below!

Meh: First Trailer Hits for WB's Summer Fling 'Something Borrowed'

Something Borrowed Trailer

Sometimes the best things in life are borrowed. Warner Bros has debuted the official trailer via Yahoo for Thor's counter-programming, the romantic comedy Something Borrowed, starring Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson, Colin Egglesfield, Steve Howey and John Krasinski. Yea, I'll be the guy who says this looks charming for a romantic comedy, so if that's what you're into, enjoy. I'm actually glad to see Ginnifer Goodwin, a very talented actress who came from the indie world, starring in flicks like this and giving damn good performances as the lead. I don't expect everyone to like this, but you can check out the trailer below.

'Oz: The Great and Powerful' Making Mila Kunis Into a Wicked Witch

Wicked Witch / Mila Kunis

We just recently found out that the busiest man in Hollywood, actor James Franco, was venturing into Oz as the great wizard for Sam Raimi's upcoming project Oz: The Great and Powerful. Now it sounds like we may have our Wicked Witch of the West, as Vulture has learned Mila Kunis (Black Swan, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) met with Raimi and Franco for the role, and all parties seem to have concluded that she's perfect for the part. Though the script has been kept under tight wraps, the story is said to follow the Wizard back when he was a young illusionist with a grandiose attitude who is forced to flee the traveling circus.

It's Official: Shane Black Will Direct 'Iron Man 3' for Marvel Studios

Iron Man / Shane Black

Earlier this month we heard Lethal Weapon writer and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang director Shane Black was in contention to helm Marvel's Iron Man 3, the next installment in the lucrative comic book sequel. While his directing the project was far from a sure thing at the time, apparently Marvel likes what Black is bringing to the table and Deadline reports the filmmaker is currently in final negotiations to direct the blockbuster sequel. Though initially it was said that Black would also write the script, apparently the details remains to be confirmed. But considering how well Black worked with Robert Downey Jr. in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, I have high hopes.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead Cast in 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'

Mary Elizabeth Winstead / Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

After having a whole slew of evil ex-boyfriends in Scott Pilgrim vs the World, it looks like the next significant other for Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be the 16th President of the United States. Heat Vision reports the beautiful actress has landed the role of Abraham Lincoln's wife Mary Todd in Timur Bekmambetov's adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's historical action horror story Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Earlier this week we heard that Robin McLeavy had landed the role, but those reports have turned out to be untrue. They had a 50/50 chance of being right though since both actresses were the top choices for the role.

First Look: Guillermo del Toro's 3D Stop-Motion 'Pinocchio' Movie

Pinocchio

Its been over two years since we heard anything about Guillermo del Toro's new spin on the classic story of Pinocchio. The brilliant director revealed their collaboration on a stop-motion animated version of the story with The Jim Henson Company & Pathe back in 2008, but now Deadline reports the project is finally moving into production. Gris Grimly, who illustrated the 2002 take on the story, is directing with Mark Gustafson, and now we have a first look at a couple pieces of production art. This is both loyal to the dark illustrations from Grimly's book and to del Toro's signature visual style. Check out some of the art below!

Must Watch: Chilling Full-Length Trailer for James Wan's 'Insidious'

Insidious Trailer

"It's not the house that's haunted..." Even though we just saw the first teaser a few weeks ago, FilmDistrict has debuted a full-length trailer via Blastr for James Wan's scary new horror-thriller Insidious, which I saw in Toronto and have been raving about ever since. Insidious is a part haunted house flick, part demon possession thriller, part Poltergeist, and even part Sam Raimi-throwback, but it's such a damn good horror flick. Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne star as parents of a few kids, one of which gets trapped in a coma, but it might be more than that. We highly suggest watching this trailer for Insidious, it will creep you out!

Though the 64th Annual BAFTA Awards, the British version of the Oscars, took place earlier this week (The King's Speech swept the boards) we just found some BAFTA-related art that you must see. Every year, BAFTA commissions a designer to create posters of the five Best Film nominees for their annual brochure. We featured the awesome posters they made last year and they've finally posted the art online from this year (via HeyUGuys) and they are quite intriguing posters. This year's series of Black Swan, Inception, The King's Speech, The Social Network and True Grit was designed by Adam Simpson. See all five below.

Richard Kelly Writing/Directing 'Corpus Christi' with Eli Roth Next

Richard Kelly

Although we're big fans of filmmaker Richard Kelly here at FS.net (we had him on our podcast last July), he's had a tough career following his feature debut Donnie Darko in 2001. Southland Tales even we thought was pretty bad, and his last film The Box confused audiences and sadly floundered at the box office. Variety now reports that Kelly is set to write and direct a contemporary thriller called Corpus Christi, that will be produced by Kelly & Sean McKittrick's Darko Entertainment, along with Eli Roth, who's known the Darko guys since Cabin Fever. The film follows a traditional narrative and will be Kelly's first without heavy sci-fi.

Entertainment Weekly Introduces Our New 'Superman' Henry Cavill

Henry Cavill / Superman

Obviously we already know that the new Last Son of Krypton will be played by British actor Henry Cavill, because the debate and buzz around the UK native playing a superhero who stands for truth, justice and the American way was just too hard to handle. However, for those who still aren't convinced, EW will introduce us to our new Superman: The Man of Steel in this week's issue, and it's a cover story. Not only do they talk with the actor, but they have even more praise straight from director Zack Snyder as to why Cavill is perfect for the blue tights and red cape. Essentially, it comes down to what happens when an actor puts on
