Watch: Natalie Portman's 'Black Swan' Ballet Training Featurette
Yea, we've been featuring a lot of these behind-the-scenes featurettes for Black Swan, from the effects to director Darren Aronofsky, but there's one more you've got to take a look at - especially before she wins the Oscar next week (she's the shoo-in, there's no way she won't win it). Fox Searchlight recently released a new featurette focusing on the hours and hours of intensive training that Natalie Portman had to do in order to play the role of ballerina Nina Sayers in Aronofsky's mesmerizing Best Picture-nominated psychological thriller (whew, what a sentence). We'll definitely be rooting for Natalie at the Oscars on the 27th. Enjoy!

Scoot McNairy Cast in 'Cogan's Trade', May Also Join 'Prometheus'?
Hell yea, Scoot! I know we talk about a lot of actors, but these two in particular deserve these roles they're getting. Variety reports that Scoot McNairy, who starred in the indie sci-fi sensation Monsters last year, has booked a role in Andrew Dominik's crime flick Cogan's Trade, which already has a huge cast lead by Brad Pitt. Not only that, but McNairy is "in the mix" to play Noomi Rapace's love interest in Prometheus, having met with Ridley Scott several times, and Timur Bekmambetov is considering him for a key role in Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Damn! Second, Aussie actor Ben Mendelsohn, who broke out in the indie

Must Watch: Amazing Trailer for Zombie Video Game Dead Island
Damn! Since we normally only ever write about movies, if a video game trailer makes it on here, you know it's going to be amazing. There's a new announcement trailer via IGN for developer Techland's zombie video game Dead Island that's quickly making its way around the web. Nordling from AICN says it's "better than any feature film trailer you see this year" and Kotaku calls it "disturbing, chilling, and yes, heartbreaking." SlashFilm finally convinced me to feature it here, as I think it's just a beautifully made trailer that all of you guys need to see, too. It's only 3 minutes and is basically a zombie short, so take a moment and check it out!

Kimberly Peirce Set to Direct South Central Crime Thriller 'The Knife'
Last time we heard about a new project from Kimberly Peirce, the Boys Don't Cry director was being set to direct an adaptation of Melissa Marr's dark fantasy novel Wicked Lovely. While the fantasy fare sounded like it would be an attempt to replace the giant void left by the coming conclusion of The Twilight Saga, the director's new project is nothing like that. Deadline reports Peirce has been set to direct The Knife a crime drama based on Guy Lawson's 2008 article in GQ about an undercover operation by a South Central gang member turned FBI informant who turned the gang world upside down and put the man's life in absolute danger.

'Best Worst Movie' Director to 'Destroy' Viewers with Dark Comedy
Though I wouldn't call being a child star in the awesomely bad 1990 horror flick Troll 2 that much of an achievement, actor Michael Stephenson put together an amazing documentary on the aforementioned film becoming a cult classic with Best Worst Movie. Now Stephenson is moving into narrative feature film territory with his next project Destroy. The dark comedy is set in a world where vampires don't exist but a makeshift vampire hunter is moving swiftly across Bavaria laying wooden stakes into hearts left and right. Little does he know that instead of keeping the world safe, he's just killing innocent old men in cold blood.

Alice Eve Set to Play a Young Emma Thompson in 'Men in Black 3D'
Though we heard somewhat worrisome news about the production delay facing Men in Black III, it looks like some good news has come with the slightly bad. Deadline reports the lovely Alice Eve (She's Out of My League) will be playing a younger version of Olivia, the MiB headquarters chief who will also be played by Emma Thompson in present day. Back in 1969 (where the time travel plot takes place), Olivia was hired as a secretary for the agency and while she's definitely sexy, she can back it up with smarts too. Surely she'll run into Agent J (Will Smith) and young Agent K (Josh Brolin) as MiB has to save the world once again.

Scorsese Back with Leonardo DiCaprio for 'The Wolf of Wall Street'?
Last July we heard there was a possibility that director Ridley Scott would re-team with his Body of Lies star Leonardo DiCaprio for a gestating adaptation of Jordan Belfort's memoir The Wolf of Wall Street for Warner Bros. Now Vulture reports the project has fallen back into the hands of director Martin Scorsese who was actually weakly linked to the project along with DiCaprio in March of '07 following the Best Picture win for The Departed. Apparently the script from Terrence Winter (who recently collaborated with Scorsese on HBO's "Boardwalk Empire") could go in front of cameras as an independent production as early as this

Watch: Award-Winning Thai Film 'Uncle Boonmee' Official Trailer
Oh no - the Ghost Monkeys are finally here! Strand Releasing has debuted an official US trailer on Apple for the Palme d'Or winning Thai film Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives - yep that is the full title for it, too. Now everyone finally gets to see what I've been talking about all along with these damn Ghost Monkeys and catfish and all the weird shit that happens in this. I watched half this film in Cannes last year (and walked out of the rest) and I couldn't even make sense of what I saw, so good luck making sense of this trailer. Here's a synopsis to help: On his deathbed, Uncle Boonmee, recalls his many past lives. Enjoy!

Matthew Vaughn is Developing a New 'Golden Age' Superhero Movie
Looks like Hollywood has fallen head over heels for British director Matthew Vaughn. Deadline says that Vaughn has another project in the works, in addition to Kick-Ass 2, Bloodshot and Turf, called The Golden Age about a retirement home where superheroes end up. This is the same guy who said the superhero genre "is going to be dead" soon, but wants to keep making more. Vaughn is apparently working on the idea now, doesn't even have a script, but is getting the studios interested already. He's also trying to get a cast set first before writing a script. And who does he want? Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson and Warren Beatty.

On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim & Jeremy are joined by Matt Patches of UGO and Film School Rejects to go over their Picks of the Week, the newest in DVD/Blu-Ray releases, new trailers for Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class & Darren Bousman's 11-11-11, Tim's warning to avoid Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever and much more! The topic of the night was mistaken identities in film (in honor of Unknown hitting theaters). The guys talk about some of the most well-known examples and whether or not this plot device is over used. They also honor Alfred Hitchcock as the true godfather of this method of storytelling.

Unfinished Screenplay Has Delayed Production on 'Men in Black 3D'
Even though Will Smith promised to "make 3D look good" with next summer's sequel Men in Black 3, apparently that promise may have been made without a completed script. Production on the sci-fi sequel bringing Smith and Tommy Lee Jones back into action was expected to resume this week after a two month break. However, now the project will not resume shooting until March 28th. Why? Well, EW has learned that Sony is giving director Barry Sonnenfeld a little more time to prep the final act of the film after the dailies on the first act turned out so well. This means that more writing is being done to clean up the ending.

Michael Bay and Taylor Lautner Have a Big Secret Project for Sale
Apparently studios are ready to bank on a director who can't keep his camera still more than five seconds and an actor who has as much talent as the broad side of a barn. Deadline reports director Michael Bay and The Twilight Saga star Taylor Lautner are currently shopping a secret script around to be auctioned off to the highest studio bidder. Apparently Hollywood heavyweights are already foaming at the mouth for the project and a bidding war is underway. Unfortunately, the project's details are being kept under wraps, but insiders have described it as "Mr. & Mrs. Smith meets Wanted." I guess that means there will be guns?
