Review: Tim Hill's CG Hybrid Comedy 'Hop' is Uninteresting at Best
There are a lot of things that Illumination Entertainment's new talking animal comedy Hop doesn't prove. It doesn't prove the existence of the Easter Bunny. Sorry kids, that one is left to your parents to break to you, and I'm sorry if that counts as a spoiler. Hop doesn't prove why someone who looks like James Marsden can't get any kind of job based on looks alone. It doesn't prove that putting Russell Brand's voice in any CG creation makes it funny. These just make up the tip of a deeply buried iceberg of things Hop doesn't prove. However, there is actually one thing it does prove.

Drew Pearce Writing 'Iron Man 3' Screenplay Instead of Shane Black
After we got official word that Shane Black would sit in the director's chair for Iron Man 3, we also learned that he would be scripting the anticipated sequel as well. However, it sounds like Disney has decided to bring in someone else to work with Black on the script as Deadline reports the studio has hired Drew Pearce to write the flick. Apparently his script for Runaways, another Marvel adaptation based on the comic of the same name by Brian K. Vaughn, was good enough to land him the gig. He'll start the script from scratch, but before anyone gets bent out of shape, please note he will work closely with Black on the script.

Must Watch: Hilarious Full Length Trailer for 'The Hangover Part II'
Your hair is gone. We've already seen the teaser trailer for the anticipated summer comedy sequel, but now we have the full length theatrical trailer for The Hangover Part II. It's essentially more of the same, but that's fine with me. They've substituted the loss of Stu's (Ed Helms) tooth for Alan's (Zach Galifianakis) hair, there's a monkey instead of a tiger, but this time they're looking for Stu's fiancé's little brother Teddy in Bangkok. Even Ken Jeong is around (thankfully with more clothes on) for some weird reason. Yes, it's basically déjà vu all over again for Bradley Cooper and the boys, but I still think it looks like a laugh riot.

Keira Knightley & Steve Carell Are Friends at the 'End of the World'
We've seen plenty of epic depictions of the end of the world, but a new film will focus more on the relationships that crumble and blossom in the face of our destruction. Even more interesting is the duo involved with the project as Deadline reports Steve Carell and Keira Knightley will star in Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. The story kicks off when humanity learns that a giant asteroid is headed toward Earth and will almost certainly destroy the entire planet. Carell plays a man sitting in the car with his wife when they hear on the radio that the last attempt to destroy the asteroid has failed. Then, his wife just runs out on him.

Watch: Trailer for Will Ferrell's Indie Dramedy 'Everything Must Go'
Roadside Attractions has debuted the trailer on Apple for Everything Must Go, an indie drama written and directed by first-time filmmaker Dan Rush. The film stars Will Ferrell and despite having a concept that could be considered amusing, it's much more of a drama about a guy who returns home from being fired at work to find himself locked out of his own house and all of his possessions on the lawn. I saw this at the Toronto Film Fest last year and enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to seeing it again and more than happy to share this trailer to give you an idea of what it's like. It also stars the lovely Rebecca Hall. Watch below!

Leonard Nimoy Coming Out of Retirement for 'Transformers 3' Role
Almost a year ago we learned that the legendary Leonard Nimoy would be retiring from acting for good following his final appearance on Fox's sci-fi series "Fringe." However, it turns out the actor has just landed a role in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Though he won't be appearing on camera, EW has learned that Nimoy will voice Sentinel Prime, the new Autobot who was unveiled earlier this month and predecessor of Optimus Prime whose wrecked body is seen on the moon in the spectacular teaser trailer. After being brought to Earth, Sentinel Prime takes the form of a fire engine during the insane battle that takes place in Chicago.

Pixar Short Director Dan Scanlon Set to Helm 'Monsters University'
We've had confirmation of a sequel to Pixar's hit film Monsters Inc. since last April, but just recently Disney's presentation at CinemaCon revealed that the anticipated sequel would be called Monsters University. The sequel is slated to hit theaters in late 2012 with Billy Crystal and John Goodman back to voice Mike and Sully. Confirming the previous rumor about the film's plot, Disney announced that the two monsters were not the best of friends when they both entered the university, and this will tell the story of how they became such good friends. No director was annaounced, but now we know who will be at the helm of this sequel.

Watch: Andy Garcia in Epic Trailer for Period War Drama 'Cristiada'
Back in June of 2010 one of our Casting Tidbits featured an impressive list of talent joining a Mexican historical epic called Cristiada. Starring Andy Garcia (Ocean's Eleven), Nestor Carbonell (The Dark Knight), Eva Longoria ("Desperate Housewives") and Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek), the film was said to focus on the 1926-29 Cristeros war, started by a rebellion over the Mexican government's 1917 attempt to remove the influence of the Catholic Church and secularize the country. Now we have our first look at the film by way of an impressive and epic trailer that really has me hoping this film gets released. See it below!

Well, now we have a brief look at some more of the action that might be going down in the form of some expected photos of Shia LaBeouf hiding with his new leading lady Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and a couple of LaBeouf and our favorite soldiers Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson running from some epic explosions. GFM Films Plans 'Time Bandits' Reboot as Action Franchise for Kids
Of all the filmmakers with material prime for some kind of remake or reboot tailored specifically for kids, director Terry Gilliam normally wouldn't be at the top of the list. But when you look back at the 1981 film Time Bandits, it's easy to see how the fantasy could be retooled for today's young audiences. That's the idea that GFM Films has as Variety reports the production company composed of former Handmade Films executives Guy Collins, Michael Ryan and Fred Hedman is currently developing a reboot of Time Bandits, and they're currently talking to an unnamed Hollywood producer to turn it into an action franchise for kids.

Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber Will Ask 'What Would Kenny Do?'
After making a splash in theaters with his 3D musical documentary Never Say Never, it looks like chart-topping pop singer Justin Bieber may be trying his hand at acting on the big screen. 24 Frames reports Bieber is attached to one of the lead roles in the comedy What Would Kenny Do? The film would have the teen pop star playing a 17-year old who somehow has a relationship with his thirty-something self, who would be played by Ashton Kutcher. Surely the girls must be giddy with glee thinking of this pairing, and the two do actually look very similar to one another. The question is whether Bieber can actually act or not.
