Watch: New 'Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' Featurette

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

"I can destroy him... once and for all." While we haven't seen the official trailer for Part 2 of Warner Bros' epic Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows finale, a new behind-the-scenes featurette was posted on Facebook (via HPANA) that features quite a bit of new footage. I think it's released as part of ABC Family's "Harry Potter Weekend", so tune in if you want more. The featurette has interviews with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, David Yates and lots of Part 2 footage. Oh I can't wait for the summer, because I know July 15th is going to be an one hell of a day for a lot of Harry Potter fans. And this is just a tease - enjoy!

Kevin Costner Confirmed as Pa Kent in Zack Snyder's New Superman

Kevin Costner

Briefly: An exciting casting confirmation for Superman fans. Deadline has confirmed that Kevin Costner is now officially set to play Jonathan "Pa" Kent in Zack Snyder's Superman: Man of Steel, currently in pre-production headed for release in late 2012. He'll star opposite Henry Cavill as Superman aka Clark Kent, his adopted son, and Diane Lane as his wife Martha Kent. We still don't know much about the plot or who the main villain is, though there's been plenty of rumors, but after Snyder's other movie Sucker Punch lands in theaters in a few weeks, he'll be able to move at full steam and finalize casting. Excited about Costner?

Watch: Another New Trailer for Scott Stewart's 'Priest' Adaptation

Priest Movie

Every time I think about the summer movie season, I forget this is coming out, although I do want to see it (but not in 3D). Screen Gems has debuted another trailer for Scott Stewart's Priest, the TokyoPop manga adaptation starring Paul Bettany as the vampire-hunting futuristic priest with a cross on his face. Ohh and did you know? Karl Urban is in this, too! And he looks pretty badass in it, like one of the key reasons why I want to see this. Anyway, we've already featured two official trailers for Priest dating back to Comic-Con last year, but we've got one more to watch from Facebook (via Genre Addict) before its release this May. Enjoy!

Lame New Poster for 'Fast Five' Will Probably Have You Fast Asleep

Fast Five

As someone who mostly hates this speedy franchise, I'll be the first to admit that the first full trailer for Fast Five is full of some pretty ridiculous, but mighty cool action sequences. And while the first poster for the film wasn't exactly thrilling, it was still pretty slick. However, new poster uses the same dead space approach from the first one, but combines it with some terrible photoshop that makes the entire cast of the film, including Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, look like they're just hanging out in some kind of parking lot in the sky. I'd like to think that maybe this has some deeper meaning behind it, but not for this franchise.

Summit in Talks with Breck Eisner to Direct 'The Last Witch Hunter'

Breck Eisner

Just over a year ago, almost to the date, we learned that Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov was attached to a pitch called The Last Witch Hunter that Summit Entertainment had picked up from Priest writer Cory Goodman. Now it sounds like the filmmaker is no longer part of the deal as Deadline reports Breck Eisner (The Crazies) is in early talks to direct the project for Summit Entertainment. Apparently the Twilight Saga base is eager to get the project off the ground (when the vampires run out, why not turn to witches?), but Bekmambetov has been busy with producing duties on the Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter adaptation.

Van Gogh Brings Color to Woody Allen's 'Midnight in Paris' Poster

Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris

While I've been covering Woody Allen films these last few years, I haven't been that impressed by any of the posters. His last film, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, had a rather boring poster and Whatever Works' was bland, too. Now we finally have a poster that is at least colorful, though it borrows from the brilliance of another artist. Yahoo has debuted the poster for Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, his new rom-com with a cast of: Owen Wilson, seen strolling the streets below, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates, Adrien Brody and Léa Seydoux. And if you don't know, that's Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night they're using.

What?! Darren Aronofsky is No Longer Set to Direct 'The Wolverine'

Wolverine / Darren Aronofsky

After hearing the official news that Darren Aronofsky was going to direct the comic book sequel The Wolverine starring Hugh Jackman, my excitement couldn't have been higher. And hearing the Black Swan director talk about his interest in the project was enough to make me forget that X-Men Origins: Wolverine even happened. However, it sounds like some personal issues will prevent the brilliant filmmaker from taking on the studio tentpole as Deadline reports Aronofsky has backed out of directing the film due to his divorce from actress Rachel Weisz, the custody of their son, and the long shooting schedule in Japan.

Matthew Fox Will Be Facing Off Against Tyler Perry in 'I, Alex Cross'

I, Alex Cross / Matthew Fox

Back in February we heard that Rob Cohen would be directing Tyler Perry as author James Patterson's detective/psychologist character in an adaptation of the novel I, Alex Cross. Now Deadline reports "Lost" star Matthew Fox will play the assassin that Cross will go head-to-head with in the film. Fox hasn't been seen on the big screen since 2008 with his turns in Speed Racer and Vantage Point, and this character will be unlike anything he's done before. Fox plays Michael Sullivan, a ruthless man who kills for money and thrills and ends up killing Cross' wife after the detective thwarts one of his murders. Sounds gruesome.

Jennifer Lawrence Officially Cast as Katniss in 'The Hunger Games'

Hunger Games / Jennifer Lawrence

Even though there were more than a few naysayers in the comments when we heard that Winter's Bone star and Academy Award nominee Jennifer Lawrence was the frontrunner to take the lead role of Katniss Everdeen in the adaptation of The Hunger Games, no amount of complaining can stop it. The Wrap reports that Lawrence has officially landed the coveted role in Lionsgate's highly anticipated new franchise based on Suzanne Collins' best-selling book of the same name. The deal officially closed for Lawrence's casting on Wednesday and it's likely that the actress is signed for adaptations of all three books in the young adult novel series.

Tommy Lee Jones Likely to Join Meryl Streep in 'Great Hope Springs'

Tommy Lee Jones

Back in February we heard that The Devil Wears Prada director David Frankel and star Meryl Streep would reunite for a relationship comedy called Great Hope Springs. The story would follow a couple who puts their future in the hands of a marriage counselor for one weekend when their relationship hits some serious bumps after 30 years together. Streep was set to play the wife and later Steve Carell was brought on board to play the marriage counselor, but no actor had been cast as the husband yet. Now Deadline reports that Tommy Lee Jones has emerged as the frontrunner to star opposite Streep to round out a great cast so far.

Veteran Actor and Batman Franchise Star Michael Gough Dies at 94

Michael Gough

While The Dark Knight has an array of gadgets and sheer physical prowess to survive the rough nights and crime fighting of Gotham City, his alter ego Bruce Wayne couldn't keep sane without his trusty butler and guardian Alfred Pennyworth. Today I'm sad to report that Michael Gough, a veteran actor best recognized as playing Batman's loyal caretaker in the Batman films from Tim Burton & Joel Schumacher, has passed away at 94-years old. TMZ has the news on the actor passing away, and while the details of his death have not been revealed, at his age, it's not unlikely that it was just his time to step out of the spotlight.
