Quick, Vulgar New Red Band Trailer for 'Blitz' with Jason Statham
Jason Statham can say pretty much any line with a grimacing tone and he sounds badass. Though we still don't have a release date, a new red band trailer for Elliott Lester's Blitz that's only 30 secs. long hit IGN. This is the gritty, vulgar British flick starring Statham as the "tough cop" who has to take down a serial killer who that's been targeting police officers. It surprised us last year when we featured that first trailer. There's a lot of awesome British profanity used it as well as some brutal violence, even a bit of unnecessary nudity, but it looks great. "A word of advice: if you're gunna pick the wrong fight, at least pick the right weapon."

Watch: CollegeHumor's Amusing 'The Fantastic Mr. Star Fox' Trailer
"I can't barrel roll away from who I am..." It's the weekend and I'm not at SXSW in Austin, so I'm going to take a break and toss up this awesome video for everyone's viewing pleasure this weekend. CollegeHumor (via SlashFilm / Bleeding Cool) recently made this awesome mash-up trailer for The Fantastic Mr. Star Fox, or "Wes Anderson's best film since The Life Galactic." Yea it's basically Fantastic Mr. Fox if it were an adaptation of the classic/awesome SNES video game Star Fox, which I have quite an extensive history with myself. I would honestly pay money to see this actually made as a feature-length movie. Check it out below!

SXSW Review: Source Code Doesn't Quite Live Up to Jones' Potential
After making the thought-provoking and minimalist yet ultra-fresh sci-fi Moon, director Duncan Jones (@ManMadeMoon) has done something few thought he would. He has directed Source Code, a dramatic story with a science fiction heart that makes one question where the young director's future is headed. It's not that Source Code is bad. It builds suspense around characters and presents a reasonably fresh concept. However, Jones already seems to be on sort of an auto-pilot here in the second feature of his still budding career. The film feels safe, commercial, and about as straight-forward and devoid of edge as one can get.

'TRON: The Next Day - Flynn Lives Revealed' Video Leaked Online
"Flynn came back... just a little bit younger." Get it while it's hot! We were tipped by @CoreyMPAnderson that the full 10-minute secret "epilogue" to Tron Legacy that's supposed to be on the upcoming DVDs, out in about a month, was uploaded in high def on YouTube. The video is titled TRON: The Next Day - Flynn Lives Revealed and is sort of a viral continuation past the events that occurred in Tron Legacy, which also links into the Flynn Lives viral and the events that occurred in our world as well (so awesome). It's long and goes over a lot of history in the middle, but at the end everything is revealed - with spoilers. Check it out!

Watch: First Teaser Trailer for Lionsgate's 'Conan the Barbarian' 3D
"I live, I love, I slay... and I am content!" Lionsgate debuted the first teaser trailer via Yahoo for Conan the Barbarian coming in 3D starring Jason Momoa as Conan this time, replacing Schwarzenegger from the 1982 movie. It's a true teaser in the sense that there's no footage from the movie, unless all that smoke is going to be in it, too. But that said, it's a pretty cool way of reminding audiences that Conan is coming back to the big screen later this year. I'm not particularly excited for this yet, despite featuring some pretty damn cool set photos, but they've still got plenty of time to impress me before August. Check out the teaser below!

Fantastically Unique Teaser Poster for Abrams' 'Super 8' Unveiled
Whoa! If you've watched the full official trailer for J.J. Abrams' Super 8, you already know why I'm more excited for this than I think I've been for any upcoming movie in the last few years. In addition to that debut of the trailer earlier today, which is showing on the big screen in front of Battle: Los Angeles this weekend, Apple has just unveiled the official teaser poster and it's as unique and eye-catching as I would expect from Abrams. I know the sideways angle will probably throw off a few people, but I just love how bold Abrams is going with this design. I can definitely say I don't think I've ever seen anything like it - totally love it. Enjoy!

Jeremy Heads Down to Cover the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX
I love Austin, Texas. There, does that show my geek hand enough? It's such an energetic town without the abrasiveness of a Las Vegas. The people in Austin are easy-going but there's a shared kinetic vibe about everyone that makes you want to be a part of any group. The food is extraordinary. And none of that has to do with the film scene. If you ever heard of the Alamo Drafthouse, if you know of half the people who live here who are connected to film in a professional sense, you probably have a good idea what I'm getting at.
So when the South by Southwest Film Festival roles around every year down in sunny Austin, TX,

Review: Liebesman's 'Battle: Los Angeles' Aims to Excite and Hits!
Battle: Los Angeles is smart enough to know it's not that smart. It doesn't try to be too many steps ahead of its audience and for good reason. This isn't about intricately detailed plot journeys or ideologies grander than a sidewalk puddle. This is about full-force destruction and blowing stuff up. It's about being loud, exciting, and looking great while achieving both of those things, and that is precisely where Battle: Los Angeles succeeds. Or should I say, "tears it up?" You should never check your brain at the door. That's not what this preamble is about, but certain movies blast their way onto your eyeballs with such a fury that you

First Official Photos from Steven Spielberg's 'War Horse' Revealed
What a day. Not only do we get our first look at a movie inspired by Spielberg, but we also get our first look at War Horse, the first movie Steven Spielberg has directed since Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in '08. The photo was debuted by the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye and it's really not much to see; we have updated with four more NEW photos, this time with the lead Jeremy Irvine. Seen L-R (very last photo): Benedict Cumberbatch ("Sherlock"), Patrick Kennedy (Atonement) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki in Thor) saddle up in Spielberg's War Horse. I'm actually excited to see Spielberg tackle a WWI story. Check this out below!

Must Watch: Phenomenal Full Trailer for J.J. Abrams' Sci-Fi 'Super 8'
"I saw it... no one believes me." This movie is, without any hesitation, my most anticipated movie of this entire year, I get chills just thinking about it. Paramount has unveiled via Twitter the full two-and-a-half minute trailer for J.J. Abrams' mysterious sci-fi movie Super 8, inspired by the Spielberg classics of the 70's/80's. Not only does it melt my heart at the start with that classic Amblin logo, which we haven't seen for such a long time, but it looks absolutely phenomenal, in every way. I think Abrams has created a classic here that we're about to experience in the summer. You must stop and watch this trailer - it is amazing!!

Aronofsky Producing Drug Film 'Intricate' for Brad Furman to Helm
Although Black Swan only won one Oscar (Natalie Portman for Best Actress), the film still remains one of the best of last year and one of my favorites. Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky and producer Scott Franklin, of the NYC-based Protozoa Pictures, will be developing a new project about a "dark story of a drug underworld" titled Intricate. 24 Frames reports that the project is being produced independently by Aronofsky and Franklin and will be directed by Brad Furman, of the upcoming The Lincoln Lawyer. "The movie is about where this man begins and where he ends, with New York City as an important character."
