Watch: John Lasseter Chats 'Cars 2' Inspiration in Sneak Peek Video
We just featured the theatrical trailer for Pixar's Cars 2 earlier this week, which as we now known is kind of a James Bond movie mixed with an international racecar adventure. Yea, that sounds cheesy, but I'm sure it will have all the same charm every Pixar film has. To explain how they're achieving that, John Lasseter (director of the first Cars) recorded a fun "Sneak Peek" video talking about how he was inspired by traveling the world. "If ever I have the chance to do a sequel, I want to take the characters around the world." He also says the character Finn McMissile was actually developed for use Cars, but not used. Watch the full video!

Check This Out: Sweet Illustrated Poster for Miike's '13 Assassins'!
Hell yea, this looks frickin' sweet! I totally have to feature this awesome new illustrated poster that just hit on Cinematical for Japanese director Takashi Miike's latest crazy martial arts film 13 Assassins, which is getting a limited release this spring. I'm pretty sure we've featured a trailer for this before, but haven't seen an official US trailer for it at all, unless we missed it somewhere. Anyway, Film School Rejects also recently debuted a cool poster for the upcoming US release of Miike's remake of Eiichi Kudo's 1963 film, but I think this poster is actually making me interested in seeing it again. Can't go wrong with Takashi Miike, right?!

Bill Hader Spills More Details on That Judd Apatow Slasher Comedy
It seems like this is quite the headline-making month for "Saturday Night Live" star Bill Hader. Though the comedian may not be reaching James Franco levels of exposure, plenty of new projects and new details about gestating films have come to light with his involvement. Today is no different as The Playlist has learned Hader is working on some sort of secret project with producer Scott Rudin (The Social Network, True Grit). All Hader would say was, "It's a lot of fun, but I don't know if I should talk about what it is." Thankfully, Hader had some real info about the gestating slasher comedy with Judd Apatow instead.

Robert Luketic Has a 'Brilliant' Plan for Biggest Diamond Heist Ever
The man who brought us such gems as Legally Blonde and Killers is now getting into the diamond heist business. Or rather, at least director Robert Luketic is into telling the story about stealing diamonds as Variety reports that the filmmaker is set to direct Brilliant, a story chronicling what could be the biggest diamond heist of all time. The focus is actually a small-time criminal who becomes the protege of some of the world's most accomplished thieves as they prepare for the epic crime. The project does not even have a distributor just yet, but casting is about to begin shortly. Hopefully Katherine Heigl stays away this time.

Mother-Smurfin' Crazy New Theatrical Trailer for 'The Smurfs' Movie
Our turf is about to get Smurf'd! I was considering writing this entire Smurfin' post using "Smurf" in place of as many words as I could but realized you guys would get really Smurfin' tired of that pretty Smurf. Sony has debuted the first full theatrical trailer for their CGI-hybrid summer comedy The Smurfs, starring Neil Patrick Harris, Glee star Jayma Mays and Hank Azaria as Gargamel. The voices for the Smurfs range from Katy Perry as Smurfette to also Alan Cumming, George Lopez, Paul Reubens, B.J. Novak and even Jeff Foxworthy. I don't know if I can say this looks good, but it definitely does look pretty Smurf'd up. Have fun!

See Mondo's Two Great 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' Posters
Though his foray with aliens in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hasn't been received so warmly, few will argue against the fact that Steven Spielberg is still responsible for some of the greatest extra-terrestrial films of all time. Yes, he directed E.T. but I'm actually referring more to Close Encounters of the Third Kind. As a kid born and raised in Indiana, the depictions of alien encounters in Muncie, Indiana that plague Richard Dreyfuss and Melinda Dillion literally hit close to home. Now the stunning visuals of the alien ships in the film have been captured in two new poster variants from those great folks at Mondo. See them below!

Watch: Awesome Featurette for 'Source Code' with Dr. Michio Kaku
Summit has debuted a new featurette on Apple for Duncan Jones' Source Code, the upcoming time-travely sci-fi thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan (trailer) that's premiering at the SXSW Film Festival this weekend. Not only is great to explore the concept of Source Code with the writer, producer and cast, but this video includes an appearance by the awesome theoretical physicist Dr. Michio Kaku (his website) talking about the kinds of cool stuff physicists talk about. This video is pretty much straightforward explanation as to the plot and dynamics, so if you don't want any of it ruined, stay away. Otherwise - enjoy!

Richard Ayoade's 'Submarine' Officially Set for Release in Early June
Briefly: Has all our incessant praise and promotion of Richard Ayoade's brilliant, quirky UK indie comedy Submarine made you uncontainably anxious to see it? Well (hopefully) good news, as The Weinstein Co., who picked up the film in Toronto last year, has finally set a June 3rd release this summer (via Box Office Mojo). That will put it up against X-Men and Beginners, but it's an indie so it'll start slow and expand wide and hopefully become a huge success, which it deserves (read my review). 15-year-old Craig Roberts stars as Oliver Tate (above) with Sally Hawkins & Paddy Considine - watch the trailer. I can't wait to see it again!

Bradley Cooper Says Sequel to 'The A-Team' Probably Won't Happen
Between two of the ensemble action team movies that came out last year, I enjoyed The A-Team slightly more than The Losers. However, apparently audiences in general may not have loved it enough as Empire recently chatted with Bradley Cooper who had some disparaging news about the potential for a sequel to the 2010 summer blockbuster. The UK cinema magazine proclaimed their love for the film when asking about a potential sequel to which Cooper replied, "I loved it too. But unfortunately, outside of you, a few of your friends and myself, there just wasn't enough revenue to supply a second installment of that franchise.”

First Badass Posters for Gavin O'Connor's 'Warrior' with Tom Hardy
Lionsgate's patience is about to pay off. Pride & Glory director Gavin O'Connor shot a mixed martial arts drama a few years back (early 2009) called Warrior - we were actually one of the first to report that he was making it. Although its finished, they've been holding onto it for a while, now they can unleash and kick ass. The reason? Tom Hardy stars as one of the lead MMA fighters in the film, and his popularity has blown up since Inception. Starring as Hardy's brother is Joel Edgerton, the badass Aussie actor also on the rise with Animal Kingdom and The Thing. Both are seen on this badass poster for Warrior that leaked on Facebook.
