Watch: Trailer for 'The Big Lebowski' Sequel Starring Only Tara Reid

Big Lebowski 2

A little while back a silly little rumor circulated online from Tara Reid that a sequel to the Coen Brothers dark comedy The Big Lebowski was in the works. Of course, the writing and directing duo had no idea what she was talking about, but said, "I’m glad she’s working on it.” Well, it turns out the actress may not have been lying after all, as the trailer for this anticipated sequel has finally made its way online. In addition, this sequel has been bold enough to have Ms. Reid not only reprise her role as Bunny Lebowski, but take on every single part in the film. The result is a hilarious sequel with an all-too-familiar story. Enjoy!

Neil Gaiman's Novel 'American Gods' is Heading to the Big Screen

American Gods

The writer has already seen several of his stories like Coraline and Stardust adapted to the big screen, and now another novel from Neil Gaiman will be getting the feature film treatment. Digital Spy (via Bleeding Cool) recently talked to the author who revealed his 2001 novel American Gods would be heading to the big screen. Gaiman said, "I'm going to be having a meeting in LA with the people that the film rights have been sold to. I'm going to be talking to them, find out where they're going and if there's any way that I can help." In addition, the author says a big time director is attached to the adaptation.

Updated: WB is Planning Batman Reboot and 'Justice League' Movie!

Justice League

Rumors of a big screen adaptation featuring DC Comics' superhero ensemble Justice League have been running rampant since Marvel unveiled their plans for The Avengers. Some have even gone so far as to say a film might even get off the ground without signature heroes like Superman and Batman (which makes sense since Christopher Nolan's universe for Batman doesn't lend itself to the more fantastical existence of Justice League). Now those rumors have some fuel for the fire as LA Times (via The Playlist) recently ran a profile on Warner Bros. new president Jeff Robinov and fleetingly mentioned that a Justice League movie would be coming in 2013.

Casting Bits: Benicio del Toro, Jennifer Garner and Samantha Morton

Del Toro / Garner / Morton

The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of Casting Tidbits as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Ships, motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day...I got in. First up, Deadline has word that Benicio del Toro has joined Oliver Stone's adaptation of Don Winslow's novel Savages. The story follows a love triangle between two marijuana growers (Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch) and a beautiful female accomplice, but things get complicated when drug cartel thugs (including del Toro) kidnap and hold her for ransom.

Stuart Beattie Set to Write and Direct Adaptation of 'I, Frankenstein'

I, Frankenstein

Though he's best known in Australia for helming the teen action drama Tomorrow, When the War Began (the film broke box office records down under), as a writer, Stuart Beattie had his hand in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Australia and 30 Days of Night. Now the filmmaker has boarded a project that has been gestating for a couple years. Heat Vision reports Beattie is now set to write and direct the big screen adaptation of I, Frankenstein, the yet-to-be-published graphic novel from Darkstorm Studios that sees the iconic monster in a modern day setting now fully capable of controlling his anger and working as a private investigator.

Watch: Official Trailer Unleashed for Yuen Woo-Ping's 'True Legend'

True Legend Trailer

Two brothers, one legend. Indomina Releasing has debuted the official US trailer on Apple for kung fu master Yuen Woo-Ping's newest martial arts epic True Legend, starring Man Cheuk Chiu, Xun Zhou and Michelle Yeoh. This is the awesome martial arts epic that I've been raving about since seeing it (with the legend Yuen Woo-Ping in attendance) last year at Fantastic Fest. This trailer is such a great sell, too - the way it builds and the music at the end. I can't wait to see this again and add it to my growing martial arts DVD collection, as I'll rewatch it over and over. If you love kung fu, you've got to check this out. Kick ass!

'Captain America: The First Avenger' Takes Cues from Indiana Jones

Captain America: The First Avenger

Last week we finally got an extended look at Captain America: The First Avenger by way of the fantastic full length trailer for Joe Johnston's summer comic book adaptation. Of course, we're still a few months away from seeing Cap wield his shield on the big screen, and there's plenty of fuel left in the hype machine. Cue Hero Complex and their recent chat with the filmmaker about the story. It's not hard to see shades of Johnston's adventure flick The Rocketeer in Captain America, but the director took even more cues from a more familiar adventurer. Johnston reveals more about the story's influences and inspiration.

Another Gorgeous New Poster: Terrence Malick's 'The Tree of Life'!

The Tree of Life

Wow. I would ask where all the new posters are coming from, but with CinemaCon this week (formerly known as ShoWest), the exhibition for movie theaters where they unveil a lot of big summer movies, it all makes sense. There's another simply incredible new poster that I must feature, this time for Terrence Malick's highly anticipated new film The Tree of Life, starring Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain. I just love this poster because it takes all of the beautiful imagery that is packed within the film and puts it on one beautiful poster. I love it, I'm sold 100% already, but I was before. Check out this great poster below!

Fantastic First Poster for 'Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 2'

Harry Potter Poster

We just recently saw a tiny bit of new footage for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the anticipated conclusions to the decade-long wizarding franchise. Now as we inch close to the film's July 15th release, the marketing machine is starting up with a fantastic teaser poster which you can check out below. Using a simple but powerful tagline "It all ends", the film is really hitting home that this is the end of the journey for Harry. And at the end of that journey, the Boy Who Lived will have to face off against Lord Voldemort as this poster so beautifully illustrates. I so cannot wait to see this epic finale on the big screen!

Neil Marshall Off 'Professionals,' But Has WWII Alien Invasion Film

Neil Marshall

Almost a year ago we learned that Centurion director Neil Marshall would be at the helm of a big screen adaptation of the 70's British TV series The Professionals. At the time the filmmaker was very excited about the project, though it wasn't clear when the film would get off the ground. Well, Deadline reports Lionsgate is moving forward on the project about tough guys Bodie and Doyle who bust crime and terror at home and abroad for law enforcement outfit CI5, but apparently Marshall won't be sitting in the director's chair anymore. However, the good news is Marshall recently mentioned another future project that should be interesting.

David Gordon Green Wants 'Suspiria' Remake to Be His Next Project

Suspiria

We've been hearing for a little over three years that David Gordon Green, director of Pineapple Express, wants to remake the horror classic Suspiria. However, just recently we found out the hold-up was the original film's director, Dario Argento, holding back the remake rights. Thankfully, the filmmaker released the remake rights and we heard Green might tackle the project this year. Now, whilst promoting the opening of his new comedy Your Highness on April 8th (watch the most recent hilarious red band trailer here), Green himself confirms the remake as his hopeful next film and talks about his take on the project.
