Schuler Donner Says 'X-Men 4' is Coming and 'Deadpool' is R-Rated
With the prequel X-Men: First Class taking off on June 3 this summer, it's been pretty well assumed that anymore installments continuing the X-Men franchise following Brett Ratner's disastrous final installment The Last Stand, were out of the question. However, franchise producer Lauren Schuler Donner has revealed that a fourth and even fifth installment in the franchise isn't out of the question. She says, "We took the treatment to Fox and they love it. And X4 leads into X5,” That's all she had to say about the team of mutant superheroes, but she did have a little more to say on that Deadpool adaptation starring Ryan Reynolds.

Gary Oldman Talks Cryptically About 'The Dark Knight Rises' Script
I know its still a bit early to be hyping up a script for a project that hasn't even started shooting, but it's The Dark Knight Rises, so the hell with it. AICN found a video recorded by AbsoluteRadio in the UK talking with actor Gary Oldman on the red carpet of the Jameson Empire Awards. As we all know, Oldman plays Commissioner Gordon in Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise and is going to be reprising his role in TDKR. Oldman wouldn't reveal much, as he's obviously being watched closely by WB, but did talk about how "fantastic" the script is, how it "brings it back around" to the first movie (what could that mean?), and more.

Amy Adams Officially Cast as Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's 'Superman'!
Wow, surprise casting for Superman: Man of Steel today. The LA Times reports that Oscar nominee Amy Adams will play the iconic role of Lois Lane in the Zack Snyder-directed Superman reboot. "There was a big, giant search for Lois," Snyder told the Times. "For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it." That completes the four main roles: Henry Cavill as Superman, plus Diane Lane & Kevin Costner as Ma & Pa Kent, respectively. Do you think Adams is the perfect choice for Lois Lane, too?

Watch: Awesome New US Trailer for Takashi Miike's '13 Assassins'
"13, are you ready... to die?!" Get ready for some sweet Japanese action from master filmmaker Takashi Miike in his newest samurai action epic 13 Assassins. I know I use the word epic a lot, but I think this deserves it, especially once the trailer gets going and the 13 assassins start getting crazy. Magnet recently debuted the official US trailer on Apple, and the film is now available VOD. Cult director Takeshi Miike delivers a bravado period action film set at the end of Japan's feudal era in which a group of unemployed samurai are enlisted to bring down a sadistic lord and prevent him from ascending to the throne. Kick ass!

Will Sasso, Hank Azaria & James Marsden Are Likely 'Three Stooges'
Last December we found out that Bobby and Peter Farrelly's long-gestating feature film version of The Three Stooges had finally been given new life by heading over to Fox. It was said to begin shooting in March, but an official cast isn't even together yet. Rumors had circulated around Andy Samberg and Johnny Knoxville for two of the roles, but those turned out to be false. However, today some progress has been made in the casting department as Deadline reports "MadTV" alum Will Sasso has officially landed the role of my favorite stooge Curly. In addition, two names have emerged as frontrunners to play Moe & Larry.

Armie Hammer Joins Relativity's 'The Brothers Grimm: Snow White'
Another role for Armie! Relativity Media has announced that Armie Hammer, who starred in The Social Network and is currently out shooting Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar, has been cast in Tarsem's The Brothers Grimm: Snow White. It's one of many Snow White projects in the works, another being Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman, which recently lost Viggo Mortensen and is probably in trouble. Relativity's Snow White is set to star Julia Roberts as the Queen, with pre-production underway. Deadline is also saying that Hanna's Saoirse Ronan "could be cast" as Snow White, but is still only "in discussions" at this moment.

MGM Finally Able to Get That 'Child's Play' Remake Off the Ground?
It's been over three years since we heard about the potential for a remake of the horror favorite Child's Play featuring Chucky, everyone's favorite bloodthirsty, serial-killer-possessed doll. Then in 2008 we got word from Don Mancini, franchise writer and the original film's director, about the plans for the horror remake and just why they felt it was necessary. However, the project got held up due to rights issues between MGM and Universal. MGM only held the rights to the first film while Universal had the rights to all the sequels. Now a deal has been worked out between them, and the remake is finally coming together.
