New Poster for 'X-Men: First Class' is Shiny But a Little Bit Familiar
Recently we've seen some cool stuff highlighting X-Men: First Class in the form some vintage magazine covers featuring several of the characters, and a killer fan-made 1960's style opening credit sequence for the film. Now we have a bit or promotional material that you'll probably see at your local theater in the form of what very well could be the last poster for the film as the June 3rd release date looms closer. Honestly, it looks a little too photoshopped for my tastes, but it's not as bad as that one Fast Five poster and it does fit in with the style that we've previously seen on the poster for X2: X-Men United. See for yourself in full below!

Worth Watching: Official US Trailer for Sundance Hit 'Circumstance'
Winner of the Audience Award at this year's Sundance Film Festival was the film Circumstance, written and directed by Maryam Keshavarz. It's about two 16-year-old girls "struggling with their desires and the boundaries placed upon them by the world they were born into", which as you'll find out means these two have something romantic going on but are forbidden to be in love. THR's James Greenberg wrote a glowing review praising it's "modern rhythm and propulsive soundtrack" and "insiders look at a world few of us will ever get to see." This trailer really does look great, I'm definitely interested in seeing it. Give this a chance!

Elizabeth Banks Also Joining the Adaptation of 'The Hunger Games'
Today we heard about some supporting roles being cast for Lionsgate's adaptation of Suzanne Collins' hit book series The Hunger Games, but now a big name has just joined the cast as well. Variety reports Elizabeth Banks is in talks to take a role in the high profile project, and the actress will play Effie Trinket, a flaky bureaucrat who escorts her district's young death-match contestants to their fate. She'll be the one leading Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson as Katniss and Peeta respectively as the enter the televised event known as The Hunger Games. This is shaping up to be quite a stellar cast for the March 2012 release.

Casting Tidbits: Paul Rudd, Billy Bob Thornton and Joshua Jackson
Okay, so it's not a plan. Look, I'm not good with plans. And I'm not good with Casting Tidbits. What I am good with is kicking ass and ripping throats. First up, Deadline has word on a couple more cast members joining Logan Lerman and Emma Watson in the adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The fantastic Paul Rudd and "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev have both joined the cast. Though Rudd's role is unclear at this point, Dobrev will be taking the role of Candace. The coming-of-age story follows a shy and unpopular teenager who describes his life by writing a series of letters to an anonymous person.

Must Watch: Gritty & Thrilling Official Trailer for 'Monopoly' Movie
"I thought this was just a game!" Last we heard about the long-gestating adaptation of the popular board game Monopoly from Ridley Scott was that it might be preparing for release in 2012. However, with Scott busy on Prometheus, it doesn't sound like we'll see the film hit the big screen anytime soon. Thankfully, Funny or Die and Half Day Today Films have put together their own take on the project that takes all the familiar aspects of the popular board game and gives them a wicked thriller edge. Using the game pieces and revelation of Rich Uncle Pennybags being an evil crazy man makes this just a solid, hilarious fake trailer.

Fernando Meirelles is Also Developing a Biopic on Aristotle Onassis
This may not be the City of God reunion anyone was expecting, but it has the potential to be great anyway. Given that The Kennedys got shafted, that may be making way for a whole different kind of Kennedy story. Vulture reports that City of God, The Constant Gardener, Blindness director Fernando Meirelles (L) is re-teaming with screenwriter Bráulio Mantovani, who wrote City of God, to develop a biopic called Onassis about the infamous Aristotle Onassis, who is said to be behind the two assassinations of the Kennedys. And they're going epic on this. Meirelles "sees it as a sort of Godfather, with Onassis at the center." Bring it on!

Watch: Adorable New International Trailer for 'Mr. Popper's Penguins'
"Pull yourself together, your house is full of penguins!" Awww look at all the penguins, they're so cute! Fox recently debuted an international trailer via YouTube for Mr. Popper's Penguins and it's just irresistible. No but seriously, this looks great. Jim Carrey stars along with Carla Gugino, Angela Lansbury, Madeline Carroll and Philip Baker Hall. The last trailer we featured for this adaptation was last month and it was only just a teaser, but this one dives into the very wacky storyline that ends with Jim Carrey going so crazy he's turned his house into a snowbank. Yea, I actually really want to see this, it just looks like great summer fun!

First Teaser Trailer for Medusa, the Car in Evan Glodell's 'Bellflower'
Oscilloscope has unveiled a very short, very pointless teaser trailer for Evan Glodell's Bellflower, one of the big break-out indies from Sundance this year. The teaser only focuses on the car from the film called Medusa that yes, while they built it specifically for this and it shoots flames, isn't really even in it that much. I actually agree with Badass Digest about this being "misleading marketing" in quite a big way. Bellflower has been gaining buzz since Jeremy loved it at SXSW, though I saw it at Sundance and wasn't that big of a fan. That said, if this kind of crazy apocalyptic cinema interests you, then you'll totally love this!

Matt Reeves Directing Vampire Project 'The Passage' for Fox 2000
Interesting news regarding the next project for Let Me In director Matt Reeves. Deadline is reporting that Reeves is attached to direct a movie called The Passage, based on the bestselling novel by Justin Cronin about "an experiment that goes awry and creates a swarm of bloodthirsty vampires that brings the world to the brink of extinction." It's interesting that Reeves has stuck with vampires, but he can craft a completely different world and probably will. Reeves was also recently attached to the film 8 O'Clock, basically a They Live remake. But they say "it isn't entirely clear which film is up next, but The Passage has a big head start."
