Joel Schumacher Enters 'The Hive' Thriller for His Next Directing Gig
Though he hasn't really been at the top of his game for the past five years, director Joel Schumacher shows no signs of stopping despite being just over 70 years old. Variety reports the Phone Booth and Phantom of the Opera filmmaker will next be at the helm of a new suspense thriller called The Hive. Written by Rich D'Ovidio (Exit Wounds, Thir13een Ghosts) the story follows an emergency operator who must confront a killer from her past to save a young girl's life. Sounds like a generic thriller to me, but of course Schumacher hasn't really been making any memorable films lately, so I guess it's not surprising.

Vera Farmiga Heads to 'Safe House' with Washington and Reynolds
Last July we learned that Denzel Washington would be taking shelter in the thriller Safe House from director Daniel Espinosa (Snabba Cash). Then we got word last August that Ryan Reynolds had added the project to his busy schedule playing a young agent assigned to escort a dangerous criminal (Washington) to safety after they are attacked at a safe house. Now Deadline has word that Vera Farmiga has also joined the cast with production already underway. The role may seem a little familiar after her collabortation with Jake Gyllenhaal in Source Code since she'll be playing a CIA operative supervising Reynolds' character.

Watch: Paul Rudd Stars in Jesse Peretz's 'Our Idiot Brother' Trailer
"I can't just kick him out, he's family!" Unexpectedly this Easter Sunday, the first seemingly official trailer for Our Idiot Brother has popped up on YouTube via Vlicious. Formerly known as My Idiot Brother when it premiere at Sundance earlier this year, it's an indie comedy starring Paul Rudd as a brother who returns home to live with his three sisters, played by Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Emily Mortimer. This seems more like a teaser trailer, but it looks fun, I'm sad I missed seeing it, but our own Ethan seemed to enjoy it. The cast also includes Steve Coogan, Hugh Dancy and Rashida Jones. Catch it below right away!

More Amazing 'Tree of Life' Buzz from Guardian's David Thomson
"What can one say about The Tree of Life? Just that for nearly 40 years it has been apparent that Malick might make a movie that could alter our understanding of what cinema should be. This may be it." I just had to open with that quote from The Guardian's David Thomson as that pretty much sums up my excitement for this film and why I'm trying to contain my anxiety waiting for Cannes to hit (can't wait!!). Yes, this is pretty much pure hype, but it's a great way to kick off Easter weekend - thinking about how in over a month we'll all be able to experience the new Terrence Malick (hopefully) masterpiece in theaters.

John C. Reilly Offered Role in 'Hunger Games', Malcomson Joins, Too
Ohhh boy, are you ready for more casting on The Hunger Games? This isn't going to stop until Lionsgate fills up that chart on Facebook on all 12 of the "tributes." First up, THR reports solid casting news stating that actress Paula Malcomson, seen on "Deadwood", "Sons of Anarchy" and "Caprica" on TV, will play Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Prim's (Willow Shields) mother in the film. Big role for her. In addition to that news, Vulture is reporting that none other than John C. Reilly was offered the role of Haymitch Abernathy, an alcoholic mind you, in The Hunger Games, adapted from Suzanne Collins' novels. Read on!

Check These Out: Two Great Teaser Posters for '30 Minutes or Less'
Sony unveiled a hilarious/awesome series of teaser posters for 30 Minutes or Less, the Ruben Fleischer directed action comedy starring Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari that we featured the amazingly funny red band trailer for yesterday. They come directly from the official website (via Ruben's Tumblr) and only feature our protagonists (and antagonists) with masks on, but they still look great. I just love the dichotomy between the two posters and the playful design, it's just fun to see this amidst all the crappy floating-head, bland posters out there. Plus, this is one of those rare movies where the title could also work as the tagline.
