Watch: Another New Trailer for Joe Cornish's Sci-Fi 'Attack the Block'
We've been very excited to catch a glimpse of Joe Cornish's sci-fi indie Attack the Block since it opened to rave reviews (like Jeremy's!) at SXSW and since the first trailer debuted a few months ago. Well, to go along with all the other trailers this week, The Guardian posted a shorter but just-as-awesome new trailer for Attack the Block that is definitely worth watching. The trailer is only 60 secs, but features a badass score by Steven Price, Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe of Basement Jaxx. This is looking better and better with every trailer, hopefully it'll make its way to the US soon enough! If you like sci-fi at all, you've got to see this.

Peter Jackson Confirms Ian Holm Returning as Bilbo in 'The Hobbit'!
With Peter Jackson returning to helm the two-part adaptation of The Hobbit, plenty of his cast members from the Lord of the Rings trilogy are also slated to head back to Middle Earth. Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett and Orlando Bloom are all said to return (even a minor supporting role has been crafted for Bret McKenzie) and it should be quite the reunion. Well, Peter Jackson recently revealed on his official Facebook page (via TheOneRing.net) that despite the fact that Martin Freeman is playing Bilbo Baggins in the film, Ian Holm will also being playing the older version of the hobbit at some point as well.

Ralph Fiennes & Helena Bonham Carter Joining 'Great Expectations'
The two have shared the screen as the evil Bellatrix Lestrange and Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter franchise, but now Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes look to be taking to the big screen with an adaptation of a more classic kind of literature. Interestingly enough, the new project will pair them with a Harry Potter franchise director as Mike Newell has landed the two actors for his previously revealed adaptation of Charles Dicken's classic novel Great Expectations. In addition, Jeremy Irvine, the actor personally chosen by Steven Spielberg to star in War Horse, has also landed a role in Newell's adaptation.

Zach Braff Talks Directing Again, Joins 'Devil and the Deep Blue Sea'
Last July we found out that Garden State filmmaker Zach Braff may finally return to the director's chair with the romantic comedy Swingles. However, since then we haven't heard much the project itself, so it's unclear what's going on. But now we have word on a couple projects for the writer, director and actor that will have him busy in front of and behind the camera. First up, Braff says he's starring in a project called The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea with Jessica Biel and Chloe Moretz. In addition, it sounds like he may soon be directing again by adapting his own play which will premiere this summer. More details below!

John Travolta & Uma Thurman Also Joining Oliver Stone's 'Savages'
They first worked together on Quentin Tarantino's gritty drama Pulp Fiction and then followed up in a more disappointing fashion with Be Cool. But now Uma Thurman and John Travolta will be together on screen yet again as Deadline reports the two stars have joined Oliver Stone's adaptation of Savages based on Don Winslow's novel on the same name. In addition, Blake Lively is officially signing on to star in the film after hearing she was the top contender for the role earlier this month. However, it's unclear if taking this role will end up keeping her from also starring in Oz: The Great and Powerful for director Sam Raimi.

Tom Cruise Attached to 'Crazy, Stupid, Love' Writer's Dramatic Pitch
Back in December of 2009, Warner Bros. paid big bucks for an untitled family-driven drama from writer Dan Fogelman (Cars, Fred Claus) with Steve Carell attached to star. We now know that project as Crazy, Stupid, Love (and it looks pretty good), and the studio loves it so much that they're apparently very keen to work with Fogelman again. Deadline reports the studio just picked up an untitled pitch for a new drama with Tom Cruise attached to star. The story follows a politician who gets caught in an affair and with his reputation in shambles, returns home to lick his wounds, repair relationships and confront his past.

Watch: Extended TV Spot for 'Green Lantern' Focuses on Corps Plot
"If we don't defeat it, worlds will be annihilated." By now we've all seen that massive WonderCon clip from Green Lantern, which has pretty much turned the buzz around completely for this summer comic book movie. A new extended TV spot popped up on YouTube (via Bleeding Cool) with a bit of new footage, but more importantly, a re-organization of the introduction to the entire Green Lantern Corps. It's actually an impressive trailer, or TV spot, that's keeping me very excited for this. Ryan Reynolds stars and there's a glimpse of Mark Strong as Sinestro there, plus Geoffrey Rush voicing Tomar-Re, too. In brightest day...

Mel Gibson Speaks! Mentions Upcoming Randall Wallace Film & More
He hasn't spoken out since the "incident" last year, but Deadline has just posted the first exclusive interview with Mel Gibson since then and it's quite an interesting read. We usually stay out of the gossip side of things, but the interview covers topics from how angry/sad he felt after the tapes, to quotes like this, "I don't care if I don't act anymore." Like him or hate him, you can't deny that Mel Gibson has been a cinematic force that will at least be remember for films like Braveheart, Lethal Weapon, Mad Max and Signs. Gibson talked briefly in the interview about a project he is working on with Braveheart writer Randall Wallace.

Jeremy Renner Offered the Lead in Tony Gilroy's 'The Bourne Legacy'
It's official. Deadline is reporting that Jeremy Renner has been offered the lead as the "new" Bourne in Universal's upcoming Tony Gilroy directed The Bourne Legacy. Not only is he the new super spy taking over Mission Impossible, he's also Hawkeye in the Marvel Universe, and now he's taking over Robert Ludlum's Bourne series, too. Hollywood must really love Jeremy Renner. Deadline says that he is "expected to sign on quickly to play a new character in the spinoff film that begins production in September." Bourne is back, but... without Bourne. Earlier Joel Edgerton was rumored, but it's now Renner's role to take.

Must Watch: Wonderful Trailer for YouTube Created 'Life in a Day'
Where Were You on July 24th, 2010? National Geographic Ent. has debuted (via Vulture) the first trailer for Life in a Day, the YouTube project that combined 80,000 video submissions from one day, July 24th last year, into a feature length film. As described, "a groundbreaking, feature-length documentary that portrays this kaleidoscope of images we call life." This premiere at Sundance and though I sadly missed it, it got rave reviews, including this one from Anne Thompson. This just looks beautiful, awe-inspiring in a way, I high suggest watching it even if you have no clue what to expect. I cannot wait to see this, it looks extraordinary.

Nanette Burstein Set to Direct Nicole Holofcener's 'Unforgiving World'
After delivering a wholly underrated romantic comedy in the form of Going the Distance with Justin Long and Drew Barrymore, director Nanette Burstein (right) is heading back into romantic territory, but with drama this time. Risky Biz reports Burstein will be at the helm of Unforgiving World, which was written by Nicole Holofcener (director of Please Give, Friends with Money). The romantic drama is actually a remake of a French film with a story about a newlywed couple working at the same architectural firm vying for the same position. The film shows different outcomes in parallel storylines depending who gets the job.

Must Watch: Hilarious New Red Band Trailer for '30 Minutes or Less'
"And your first thought was to come to a school filled with young children?!" Sony has debuted the first red band trailer on IGN for one of their summer comedies that I just can't wait to see. Ruben Fleischer, director of Zombieland, is back with 30 Minutes or Less, an action comedy starring Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari. Basically, these two guys, one of them a pizza delivery dude, get forced to rob a bank because they strap Eisenberg with a bomb and make him do it. How fun! No seriously, this looks hilarious, one of the few comedies that I'm genuinely excited to see. Danny McBride and Nick Swardson also star.
