Ethan Checks Out the Set for Ruben Fleischer's '30 Minutes or Less'
Normally being in the middle of a junkyard watching two gorilla masked thugs verbally abuse and threaten a pizza delivery guy with an explosive vest strapped to his chest would be cause for concern. But in this case, the two thugs are Nick Swardson (Blades of Glory) and Danny McBride (Pineapple Express) and the unlucky guy with the bomb strapped to him is Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland), and I'm on the set of Ruben Fleischer's new action comedy 30 Minutes or Less, the follow-up to his 2009 hit film Zombieland. While there's no walking dead, there were plenty of laughs, f-bombs and much more we got to see on set. Read on!

Aaron Eckhart, Sean Bean & More to Star in Contemporary 'Pan' Tale
Last November we found out that Ben Hibon, the man behind that animated sequence where Hermione tells The Tale of The Three Brothers and the history/myth of the Deathly Hallows in the most recent installment of the Harry Potter franchise, would be at the helm of a contemporary crime thriller that puts a twist on the classic tale of Peter Pan. Ben Magid wrote the original script that may or may not still simply be called Pan that has Captain Hook as a tormented former detective on the trail of a childlike kidnapper. Now Screen Daily reports Aaron Eckhart will play Hook (yea!) and two more actors have also joined the cast. Read on.

Barry Sonnenfeld Planning to Direct 'Dominion: Dinosaurs vs. Aliens'
This summer the genre mash-up blockbuster Cowboys & Aliens is pitting, well, cowboys versus aliens. But we've also heard of forthcoming projects focusing on other genre specific battles including Zombies vs. Robots and even Boy Scouts vs. Zombies. Now Men in Black franchise director Barry Sonnenfeld is throwing his hat into the ring with yet another similar project in the form of Dominion: Dinosaurs Versus Aliens. Sonnenfeld is actually working with Liquid Comics and comic writer Grant Morrison to develop a graphic novel (a bigger version of the sneak peek above can be found right here) that will then become a feature film.

Cannes 2011: First Photos of Hollywood Promo Art on The Croisette
As the Cannes Film Festival is also a destination for European vacationers and those eager to catch a glimpse of celebrities, in addition to film critics and filmmakers, the main street in the city known as The Croisette is always covered with massive Hollywood advertising throughout the fest. My first year (2009) I walked up and down the entire street and snapped tons of photos providing us a look at some of the early marketing materials on display. However, this year's selection of Hollywood banners on display was kind of measly, and there's not much sales artwork either. But take a look at this 2011 gallery I have put together.

Awesome Noisy Boy Japanese Posters from 'Real Steel' Viral Sent Out
We received an email just yesterday from a reader named Micah containing photos of a new poster they received from the Real Steel viral game currently underway. He was sent a poster in the mail featuring the Japanese fighting robot known as "Noisy Boy" along with lots of info labeled "The Basics of Boom". This is connected to the World Robot Boxing (WRB) League and the wrb.com, part of the story within Real Steel, which we just featured the awesome new theatrical trailer for a few minutes ago. The WRB viral site that was launched a few months back also contains a bio for the robot Noisy Boy. So what's the next step in the viral?

Must Watch: Full Trailer for Shawn Levy's Bot Boxing Film 'Real Steel'
"Remember this name: Atom. This bot is one to watch." DreamWorks has unveiled the full theatrical trailer on Yahoo for Shawn Levy's Real Steel, the robot boxing action movie starring Hugh Jackman as the trainer of a giant robotic boxing unit named Atom. This looks awesome! The teaser trailer debuted late last year, but now we get a good look at this and I've got to say, this seems like it's going to kick ass! I've already been hearing some great things about its emotional depth as well, but this trailer is certainly a must watch. The cast includes Evangeline Lilly, Kevin Durand and Anthony Mackie. Fire up the new trailer below!

Check This Out: Rad 'Super 8' Vintage Camera App for iPhone/iPad
Not only am I already insanely excited for J.J. Abrams' Super 8 this summer, but I'm a big Apple fanatic as well, with my iPhone and iPad on me pretty much at all times. I'm happy to report that Apple and Super 8 are coming together, as Paramount has launched a new Super 8 app (just search for "Super 8" in the App Store or click here) that instead of showing clips from the film, is actually vintage Super 8 camera app that comes complete with scratch-and-dirt, shake, vintage lenses and effects. I briefly tested it out and I'm quite impressed, it's a great 'lil camera app. And of course there are apparently some hidden viral clues in it, too.

Chris Hemsworth Now Set to Star in 'Snow White and the Huntsman'
Just last week we learned that an offer was out to Thor star Chris Hemsworth to take the lead male role in Universal's fairytale story Snow White and the Huntsman. Now Showblitz reports the Australian actor is now in talks to take a role which Universal has had some trouble filling. Names like Viggo Mortensen, Hugh Jackman, Joel Edgerton and more have been mentioned, but getting a name actor to step into the role has been difficult for the studio. But after Hemsworth led the $65 million box office champ this past weekend with Marvel's Thor, his addition to the cast should be good for this big budget fairytale.

Sissy Spacek Looks to Make Directorial Debut with Some 'Sweet Tea'
She starred in classic films like Carrie up to recent underrated comedies like Hot Rod, and she's worked with iconic directors like Terrence Malick and Brian De Palma, not to mention snagging six Oscar nominations in her career. Now actress Sissy Spacek going to try her hand behind the scenes as 24 Frames reports she is looking to direct Sweet Tea, a drama set in the 1930's and based on a collection of supernaturally inflected short stories called Goodbye to the Buttermilk Sky by Julia Oliver. The book actually focuses on various families in Depression-era Alabama. It sounds like she's wanted to actually do this project for about ten years.

Nicole Kidman in Talks to Lead Supernatural 'Spectre' for James Wan
The market is open! I'm talking about the Cannes Market. For the movie industry, Cannes is not only a time to catch some great premieres, but it's also when announcements are made, deals are arranged, and films are sold worldwide. That means for the next two weeks we'll see an endless stream of announcements, some with barely any public information. Take, for example, this new project from James Wan, director of the original Saw as well as this year's most profitable film, Insidious. Variety says he has a new project called Spectre in the works, but doesn't have any info about the story or otherwise, besides a hint about casting.

Rod Lurie Set to Direct 'Borderline' Thriller from Writer Justin Marks
His remake of Straw Dogs is still waiting in the wings, but writer/director Rod Lurie (The Contender, Resurrecting the Champ) has already lined up his next project. THR reports the filmmmaker will next be at the helm of a new thriller called Borderline from writer Justin Marks. The story follows a family taken hostage by fugitives and the father puts everything on the line to engage in a battle of the wits with their kidnapper, who has nothing to lose, and save his wife and daughter. Sounds a bit generic to me, but Voltage Pictures, previously behind The Hurt Locker, and Blue Valentine producer Jamie Patricof are in the mix.
