Review: 'Submarine' is Wonderfully Twisted, Touching and Hilarious
While one might be pleased with the comedic stylings of Richard Ayoade on the British comedy series "The IT Crowd," his work behind the camera for his feature directorial debut with Submarine is also a treasure to behold. An adaptation of Joe Dunthorne's novel, this coming-of-age story follows Oliver Tate (Craig Roberts) as he struggles to be the best boyfriend to his new girlfriend Jordana Bevan (Yasmin Paige) and also keep his parents' marriage from crumbling before his very eyes. And while the story feels familiar, it's Oliver's storytelling style and Ayoade's presentation of it that makes this film truly engaging.

Nifty 'Meet Your Other You' Website for Searchlight's 'Another Earth'
If you could meet your other you - what would you say? That's the question an intriguing new viral-ish website for Mike Cahill's sci-fi indie Another Earth addresses. Fox Searchlight, who picked up the film from Sundance, recently launched a website located at MeetYourOtherYou.com that uses some webcam trickery to run a little video where you will communicate with your "other self" from that "other Earth." Those that have seen the official trailer for this film remember the moment when the person on the TV talks back and this is trying to achieve the same effect but with everyone individually. It's pretty cool - try it out!

Watch: Second Official TV Spot for Jon Favreau's 'Cowboys & Aliens'
"Where'd you get your bracelet?" We're already well into the thick of the summer movie season, but there's still lots of great movies on the way, including this - Cowboys & Aliens. The first big TV spot we featured was aired at the Super Bowl, but now we have another new one thanks to TheMovieBox (via ComingSoon) and, as expected, this still looks awesome. Daniel Craig stars in the adaptation of the Platinum Studios' comic series directed by Iron Man 1 & 2 director Jon Favreau. We've already seen the full theatrical trailer for Cowboys & Aliens as well, but it's great to get a quick 30-second dose of this to keep building more hype.

Matt Reeves and Jacob Aaron Estes Team Up for 'This Dark Endeavor'
Back in February we heard that Summit Entertainment had picked up the rights to Kenneth Oppel's forthcoming novel This Dark Endeavor: The Apprenticeship of Victor Frankenstein. Now they have quite a duo for directing and writing the feature as Deadline reports Let Me In and Cloverfield helmer Matt Reeves will be directing the film from a script by Mean Creek writer and director Jacob Aaron Estes. The story follows a young Victor Frankenstein as he attempts to find the three rare ingredients needed to create the Elixir of Life in order to save his twin brother, Konrad, who has become gravely ill.

Richard Jenkins is Reuniting with Josh Radnor to Study 'Liberal Arts'
They previously worked together on his Sundance selected directorial debut HappyThankYouMorePlease, and now director Josh Radnor and actor Richard Jenkins (Let Me In, Step Brothers) will reunite for another indie. Variety reports Jenkins has joined the cast of Liberal Arts alongside much buzzed about Sundance starlet Elizabeth Olsen. Radnor is also writing and starring in the indie romance which will see him playing Jesse Fisher, a 35-year-old admissions worker at a Gotham college who visits his liberal arts alma mater in Ohio where a 19-year-old student named Zibby (Olsen) tries to romance him.

Ghostly Thriller 'The Rafters' is Next for 'Once' Director John Carney
The fantastic music fueled film Once took home the Academy Award for Best Original Song, not to mention becoming an indie favorite back in 2006. Now director John Carney is heading into darker and less musical territory as Twitch has learned the filmmaker is already in post-production on a new supernatural thriller called The Rafters. In the film, ghosts stalk an old guesthouse in the Aran islands, as two American backpackers vie for the affections of a young woman who is, literally, haunted by her past. With Carney writing and directing, it should be more than just the usual fare we've come to expect from films like this.

Watch: Amusing UK Trailer for John Michael McDonagh's 'The Guard'
"There are men behind the men..." It never gets old seeing another Irish mob/cop drama with Brendan Gleeson starring in it. Yep, here's another one called The Guard about a "Irish cop with a confrontational personality, a subversive sense of humour, a dying mother, a fondness for prostitutes" who gets teamed up with a stern FBI agent. The rest of the cast is stellar: Don Cheadle, Liam Cunningham, Mark Strong, Rory Keenan, Sarah Greene. The trailer comes from RTE (via The Playlist), which is the only place we can find an embed for now, but looks great and I suggest watching. This premiered at Sundance to some acclaim. Enjoy!

Watch: Jenna Fischer Stars in Charming Indie 'A Little Help' Trailer
"Can you just tell me if I'm broke or not?" Another charming new trailer for a quirky indie comedy. Apple has debuted the official theatrical trailer for Michael J. Weithorn's A Little Help, an indie comedy starring Jenna Fischer. The cast also includes Chris O'Donnell, Rob Benedict, Daniel Yelsky, Kim Coates, Brooke Smith, Lesley Ann Warren and Ron Leibman. This just seems like another one of those throw-a-goofball-family-together indies, but it apparently its been winning numerous fest awards and it looks funny enough. You can check out the official trailer for A Little Help below. Let us know if you think this looks good at all?

My, What Gigantic Teeth You Have, Crazy New 'Shark Night 3D' Poster
Terror Runs Deep. That's the tagline for this monstrosity of a shark poster for the upcoming shark thriller Shark Night 3D as debuted yesterday on IGN. So, does anyone know what this is actually about, what the plot is supposed to be? Or does anyone care? Honestly, I'm just excited to see some shark mayhem of apparently epic proportions, which is what this is promising! Directed by David R. Ellis (Cellular, Snakes on a Plane, The Final Destination), Shark Night 3D stars Sara Paxton, Chris Carmack, Joel Moore and Chris Zylka. We're still waiting for the trailer, but awesome/scary promo material like this should keep us curious.

Brosnan and Kinnear in Religious Indie 'Salvation Boulevard' Trailer
"Carl may, or may not, be demonically possessed." IFC Films has debuted the official trailer for a religious indie comedy called Salvation Boulevard that premiered at Sundance and stars quite a doozy of a cast. Directed by George Ratliff, the film stars Greg Kinnear as a Christian who sees his pastor, played by Pierce Brosnan, kill a guy and must go on the run. Sounds fun and honestly, this is a great trailer, it really sells it almost like a religious Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. The cast also includes: Jennifer Connelly, Marisa Tomei, Ed Harris, Isabelle Fuhrman and Jim Gaffigan. Give it a shot, you might actually enjoy this!

Casting Tidbits: Lenny Kravitz, Benedict Cumberbatch & Ari Graynor
Off the top of my head, I'd say you're looking at a Boeski, a Jim Brown, a Miss Daisy, two Casting Tidbits and a Leon Spinks, not to mention the biggest Ella Fitzgerald ever. First up, Lionsgate has announced that Lenny Kravitz has landed a role in Gary Ross' anticipated adaptation of The Hunger Games. We heard Kravitz had been offered a role previously, but there was no word on his character. Now it's been revealed that he will play Cinna, the fashion stylist to Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) for the ceremonial lead up to The 74th Annual Hunger Games. He's mild-mannered but his designs are show-stopping. Read on!

First New Poster for Alexander Payne's 'The Descendants' Unveiled
Coming this winter is a new Fox Searchlight comedy from beloved filmmaker Alexander Payne (Election, About Schmidt, Sideways). We haven't seen anything for this before today, but IMDb (via The Playlist) has unveiled the official poster for Alexander Payne's The Descendants, a dramedy starring George Clooney as a wealthy Hawaiian man named Matt King, who takes his daughters (Shailene Woodley and Amara Miller) on a road trip to find the man his wife has been having an affair with. This poster doesn't show too much yet, but I've got a feeling this will be something unique to keep an eye on once we actually get a trailer.
