First Official Look: Gina Carano in Soderbergh's Action Film 'Haywire'
Check this out! An "official" photo from the new Steven Soderbergh action film Haywire has hit the web this evening, courtesy of Collider (via The Film Stage). Haywire stars MMA fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano as female covert ops specialist, seen in this photo firing off some rounds. This looks considerably similar to the Bruce Willis Looper first look, so apparently hugely bright muzzle flashes really sell. Haywire has been confirmed for a Comic-Con appearance, so that'll probably be the big reveal before its January 20, 2012 release next year, but maybe we'll get a trailer before. Check out the photo below and click for high-res!

Check This Out: Nifty 'Harry Potter' Parseltongue Online Translator
Parseltongue, the language of snakes, is rarely spoken and even more rarely heard. It is a very uncommon skill, with Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort being the most well-known Parselmouths in the wizarding world. Warner Bros has launched a nifty new viral website (via Hero Complex) for Deathly Hallows: Part 2 that will translate text into Parseltongue, the whispering snake language we've heard throughout the Harry Potter movies. Voldemort speaks to Nagini in Parseltongue and it's used to get into the Chamber of Secrets. Just a fun way to delve deeper into the Harry Potter world if you've already perfected spell pronunciations.

Director D.J. Caruso Looking to Take 'A Walk Among the Tombstones'
Though his adaptation of the young adult sci-fi novel I Am Number Four didn't exactly land with as big of a splash as some might have hoped, I've still enjoyed enough of director D.J. Caruso's work on Disturbia and Eagle Eye (simply accepting them for the retreads they are) to maintain an interest in his next project. Now Deadline has word on another project that Caruso might take on next. We heard in February he was looking to adapt the Vertigo comic book Preacher, but now it sounds like he's considering an adaptation of Lawrence Block's novel A Walk Among the Tombstones as well, a long-gestating edgy crime drama.

Francis Ford Coppola & His New 3D Film 'Twixt' Going to Comic-Con
Everybody scream - Francis Ford Coppola is coming to Comic-Con!!! Wait, what? Have you seen his last few films? This news was revealed by Entertainment Weekly originally, but also confirmed with an official press release. Francis Ford Coppola will be presenting portions of his upcoming horror movie Twixt at a panel on Saturday, July 23rd in Hall H at the 2011 Comic-Con in San Diego. Coppola himself will be there, but we're not sure if the cast will be, too. Twixt, for those curious, is described by Coppola himself as, "one part Gothic romance, one part personal film, and one part the kind of horror film that began my career."

Marvel Sets 'Thor' Sequel for Summer 2013 Release with 'Iron Man 3'
Back in April we heard the not-so-surprising news that sequels were already in the works for both Captain America: The First Avenger (check out the newest trailer right here) and Thor. Now Deadline has learned that today Marvel and Disney are announcing their full commitment to a sequel for the god of thunder with Chris Hemsworth putting on the helmet and cape again for a theatrical release sometime in the summer of 2013. Since Marvel and Disney have already set Iron Man 3 for release on May 3rd, 2013, so I'd expect Thor 2 to hit sometime in June or July afterwards. Actually, we might even have an exact date later today.

Vince Vaughn is Signing Up for 'Neighborhood Watch' with Ben Stiller
A couple weeks ago we learned that Hot Rod director and The Lonely Island member Akiva Schaffer would be at the helm of the comedy Neighborhood Watch. While the project once had Will Ferrell attached to star, Ben Stiller has instead come in to lead the cast. The film follows a group of suburban fathers who start a neighborhood watch group as a front for some male bonding time away from the family. But of course, the group ends up discovering a sinister plot to destroy the world from a dangerous extra-terrestrial force. Now 24 Frames reports that actor Vince Vaughn has also been added to the roster of alien-battling fathers.

Warner Bros. Taking 'Count of Monte Cristo' Adaptation to the Future
Recently we heard director Peter Cornwell was taking Joseph Conrad's classic novella Heart of Darkness into space, and now it sounds like another classic piece of literature will be heading into the future. Variety reports Warner Bros. has picked up a script from Ian Shorr (Splinter) called Cristo, which takes Alexandre Dumas' classic adventure novel The Count of Monte Cristo into a futuristic setting. I guess taking old stories and setting them in space or the future is the cool thing to do now. The project doesn't yet have a director, but the studio has already sent the screenplay out around town to find one sooner than later.

Watch: 'No Strings Attached' and 'Friends with Benefits' Are the Same
It's pretty much a no brainer here, but after seeing No Strings Attached hit theaters back in January, it came as a bit of a surprise that a movie with pretty much exactly the same premise, but a bit of a raunchier edge, was coming in the form of Friends with Benefits. I've actually heard some audience members say out loud while watching the trailer for the latter film, "How is this different from No Strings Attached?" Personally, I think help from Easy A director Will Gluck makes Friends with Benefits more appealing. However, a new trailer mash-up makes it hard to argue that these two films aren't exactly the same. Enjoy!

Watch: First Trailer for Tomas Alfredson's 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy'
How do you find an enemy who is hidden right before your eyes? A fantastic new teaser trailer, the first we've ever seen, for Let the Right One In director Tomas Alfredson's new film Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy has hit the web thanks to The Guardian (via Awards Daily). This is his new British spy thriller starring a hell of a cast: Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy, along with Oscar winner Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Ciarán Hinds, Stephen Graham and Benedict Cumberbatch. It's only a quick first trailer, but it's an awesome glimpse of what's to come, and it looks like it's going to be quite a fascinating vintage spy thriller.

Michael Bay's Finally Shooting That Dark Comedy 'Pain & Gain' Next
It's been over two years since we heard explosive director Michael Bay was going to deliver a smaller budget film between Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and the following sequel that became Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Obviously we know he took on the third installment of the transforming robot franchise instead, but MTV has learned the adaptation of a Miami New Times article from 1999 called "Pain & Gain" (which you can read online here) will be Bay's next project, and it won't cost an arm and a leg to produce like his other films. Instead the film is only budgeted at a modest $20 million. More below!
