Douglas Booth Finally Joins Hailee Steinfeld in New 'Romeo & Juliet'
After rounding up some of the supporting cast, Italian director Carlo Carlei has finally found the other half of the titular star-crossed lovers for his new take on William Shakespeare's classic tragedy Romeo and Juliet. Back in April we found out True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld would play Juliet, and now Variety reports Douglas Booth, who starred in the Starz miniseries "Pillars of the Earth" and will next be seen alongside Miley Cyrus in LOL, has snagged the role of Romeo. The 19-year old actor beat out more than 300 other actors for the role, so he must have really shown some talent spouting off Shakespeare's work.

AMC Announces Their Four-Day 'Harry Potter' Marathon Event in July
For years I've been thinking about this, it has all been leading up to this, and they needed to do an event like this. With the final Harry Potter hitting theaters in July, Warner Bros is allowing theaters to run their own Harry Potter Marathons, showing all 8 movies during the week leading up to Deathly Hallows: Part 2 at midnight. THR has details on AMC's big event, and you can find theater listings and get even more info at amctheatres.com/harrypotter/. We're also working on our own similar event, but for those interested, they're splitting this marathon up over four days, so it's not truly back-to-back at AMC (like it should be!).

Check These Out: Four More Similar 'Immortals' Character Posters Hit
The Gods Need a Hero. A few new additions to the character poster set for Tarsem's Immortals that we originally featured from WonderCon back in April. This time, we've got individual posters for Henry Cavill as Theseus, Mickey Rourke as the badass King Hyperion, Freida Pinto as Phaedra, and finally Stephen Dorff as Stavros. It's the exact same design all over again, just with different people. They look pretty cool, but come on Relativity, you can't design more new badass posters for this kick-ass-looking Tarsem flick? We want more! I'm sure this movie is packed with amazing imagery, just use some of that for extra inspiration!

First Look: Poster & Photos from Craig Brewer's 'Footloose' Remake
Lose your blues, everybody cut footloose! Are you ready to return to Bomont, circa 2011? MTV has debuted the first look at a poster and a set of photos for Paramount's upcoming musical remake of Footloose. Although names like Zac Efron and Chace Crawford were thrown around, newcomer Kenny Wormald stars as Ren MacCormack this time, and can be seen lounging on his vintage yellow VW beetle on the first official poster. I've tossed up a few of the photos, just for atmosphere, because if you really want to go all MTV and ogle the rest of the cast, you can head to MTV and do just that, plus a trailer is hitting late tonight.

Watch: First Full Trailer for David Cronenberg's 'A Dangerous Method'
"Sometimes you have to do something unforgivable just to be able to go on living." An official trailer for the latest film from David Cronenberg has hit the web on the film's official website (via Awards Daily). This time, Cronenberg presents a very intimate and intriguing story about neurologists Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud and their relationship. Playing the two are Michael Fassbender as Jung, and Viggo Mortensen as Freud. Keira Knightley also starts, and so does Vincent Cassel with quite a gnarly beard. This looks like it could be very good, but I'm hesitant about Keira Knightley's involvement. You can check it out below.

James Cameron Talks Pressure and Progress on Two 'Avatar' Sequels
Previously we heard that the anticipated sequels to Avatar would have a focus on the oceans of Pandora, and in October we learned that writer/director James Cameron would make the back-to-back sequels his next priority. However, since then we haven't heard much about the development of the sequels. Well, Fox News (via ComingSoon) recently caught up with Cameron at the Covenant House Gala in Los Angeles and he dished about their progress on the sequels and the pressure of following up a film that grossed $2.78 billion worldwide and still giving audiences the same adventure they loved in the first film.

Watch: Plenty of Actors Acting Like Woody Allen in Woody Allen Films
After seeing the writer/director's most recent film Midnight in Paris, one of my biggest praises for the film is directed towards Owen Wilson and his uncanny ability to channel Woody Allen and his signature personality and demeanor throughout the film. However, in looking back at all of Allen's films, it's not hard to see that there's pretty much always one character, usually the lead actor, that is just a surrogate for the filmmaker himself. Thankfully Film Drunk has put together this short and sweet compilation of a whole slew of actors in Allen's films where it's impossible not to see the director coming out in their performances.
David Wain Says 'Wet Hot American Summer' Prequel Could Happen
There are plenty of summer camp coming-of-age tales out there for teens and adults alike, but one cult classic comedy seems to take the cake in that particular arena. Back in 2001, Wet Hot American Summer debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and sadly received just a small theatrical release later where it promptly died at the box office. Thankfully, as with any good cult classic, the film found new life on DVD and any real fan of comedy should have seen it by now. Well, with such a big following, director David Wain (who most recently helmed Role Models) says that a sequel/prequel is being developed.

Penn Badgley Set to Play Jeff Buckley in 'Greetings from Tim Buckley'
His star has been rising lately with praiseworthy turns in Easy A and a supporting role in the ensemble financial drama Margin Call (which we enjoyed quite a bit at Sundance in January), but now Penn Badgley (right) has snagged a role that should really allow him to show his talent. Smuggler Films has announced the actor will play musician Jeff Buckley, son of iconic musician Tim Buckley in Greetings from Tim Buckley. Dan Algrant (People I Know) will direct the film telling the true story of the days leading up to Jeff Buckley’s eminent 1991 performance at his father’s tribute concert in St. Ann’s Church.

Ian McShane Cast as the Lead Dwarf in 'Snow White and Huntsman'
Both of the Snow White projects seem to be pushing ahead at full speed. THR reports that Universal's new project, Snow White and Huntsman has gained another cast member in addition to Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Charlize Theron as her evil stepmother, and Chris Hemsworth as the "huntsman" who trains her to fight. Veteran actor Ian McShane, last seen as Blackbeard in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, has been cast in the movie as Caesar, the leader of the dwarfs. He's only the first of the dwarfs for this film to be cast, so if things keep moving along, expect to hear a lot more casting news coming up soon.

Guillermo del Toro Wants to Direct 'Maleficent,' But Don't Count on It
It's been three years since we've seen a film from director Guillermo del Toro, and that was Hellboy II: The Golden Army back in 2008. Thankfully after At the Mountains of Madness fell apart, the big budget sci-fi project Pacific Rim was there to console him. Of course, del Toro also has plenty of other projects to keep him busy on the producing side like the gestating remake of The Orphanage, the new stop-motion animated Pinocchio and a new version of The Haunted Mansion without Eddie Murphy. But one project del Toro would love to direct is Disney's Maleficent, but sadly it doesn't sound like that will ever happen.

Warren Beatty Going in Front of and Behind the Camera for Next Film
We just recently heard that the veteran actor still has plans to direct a sequel to his 1990 comic book adaptation Dick Tracy, but it sounds like another project will put Warren Beatty behind and in front of the camera before that sequel ever happens. Deadline reports Paramount Pictures has set Beatty to star in and direct an untitled comedy. Oh, and wouldn't you know it, he also wrote the script and will produce the film as well. Though the plot is currently being kept under wraps, casting is apparently already underway with the movie expected to begin principal photography sometime later this year. More below!
