Peter Sarsgaard Writing and Directing an Adaptation of 'Born to Run'

Peter Sarsgaard / Born to Run

This past week we saw him have fun as the villainous Dr. Hector Hammond in Green Lantern, but now the Garden State and An Education actor Peter Sargaard is looking to go behind the camera for his next film venture. Hitfix (via Bleeding Cool) has learned that the actor will make his directorial debut with an adaptation of Christopher McDougall's adventurous autobiographical book Born to Run. The nonfiction book follows the author as he finds a tribe of the world’s greatest distance runners learns their secrets, and in the process shows us that everything we thought we knew about running is just wrong. More below!

Watch: Full-Length Trailer for DreamWorks' Spin-Off 'Puss in Boots'

Puss in Boots Trailer

"You may know my name, but you do not know... the legend!" DreamWorks Animation has unveiled their full theatrical trailer (and a new poster) for spin-off series Puss in Boots, starring Antonio Banderas as the voice of the one-and-only fighting kitty, Puss in Boots. Other voices include Salma Hayek as Kitty Softpaws, Billy Bob Thornton and Zach Galifianakis. This looks awesome! I really mean that, I've seen some footage before, but this trailer is hilarious and entertaining, it just looks like a whole lot of fun. Maybe it's just great to see DreamWorks starting fresh with a new franchise again. I actually suggest watching this!

Brickhut Minimalist Poster - Back to the Future II

I always love the simplicity of designs like this because it uses just one single image that somehow captures the spirit of one scene in the film, and sometimes even the entire movie itself. Designer Brickhut (via GeekTyrant) is behind this great work that crafts spectacular minimalist posters for movies like Ghostbusters, Aliens, Goonies, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Rocky, Jaws and lots more.

Another Crazy, Brilliant New Teaser for Almodóvar's 'Skin I Live In'

The Skin I Live In Teaser Trailer

Ohh yes, another crazy new teaser trailer for Pedro Almodóvar's The Skin I Live In that is just going to f**k with some people's heads. Twitch has posted this new 60 second teaser trailer for The Skin I Live In, starring Antonio Banderas as a plastic surgeon, and Elena Anaya as his "captive". I saw this in Cannes and loved it (read my review), it's brilliant, but these teasers are even better because no one has any idea what's going on. That said, it does give us another tease of some of the incredible music in this film, and for that alone it's worth watching at least. Plus, this teaser is a genius follow-up to the first short teaser. Enjoy!

Official Trailer for Rob Minkoff's Bank Robbery Action Indie 'Flypaper'

Flypaper Trailer

"You're about to be robbed!" IFC Films has debuted an official trailer via Yahoo for indie action flick Flypaper from director Rob Minkoff. The film is set in a bank that is being robbed by two groups at the same time; two of them are babbling idiots with a shotgun and C4, the others are professional con-men, and they all butt heads of course. The cast includes Patrick Dempsey, Ashley Judd, Tim Blake Nelson, Mekhi Phifer and Jeffrey Tambor. I'm familiar with this because I saw it at Sundance earlier this year, but didn't care for it one bit. It's just so cheesy, so bland, and very forgettable, but have fun with this trailer!

'The American' Director Anton Corbijn to Adapt 'A Most Wanted Man'

Anton Corbijn / A Most Wanted Man

After helming the slow-burning but fairly fantastic thriller The American with George Clooney, director Anton Corbijn will stay in mostly familiar territory by next taking on an adaptation of John le Carré's novel A Most Wanted Man. Published in 2008, the story follows boxer Melik Oktay and his mother as they take in a man named Issa and set off a chain of events implicating intelligence agencies from three countries. Why? Because Issa, who claims to be a Muslim medical student, is a wanted terrorist and the son of Grigori Karpov, a Red Army colonel whose considerable assets are concealed at a Hamburg bank.

After partaking in plenty of hilarious yet foolish stunts on MTV's television series turned film franchise known the world round, Jackass star Ryan Dunn has sadly passed away. However, it wasn't the crazy antics of the stunt crew that resulted in his passing, but as TMZ has confirmed with Bam Marger'a mother, a car crash late last night is the cause of death. A car with Dunn and an unidentified passenger slammed into a tree and burst into flames (see the photo of the accident site right here) at Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania.
