Must Watch: Hilarious and Vulgar Gag Reel for Comedy 'Bad Teacher'

Bad Teacher

Though normally, I'm not the biggest fan of Cameron Diaz, the new raunchy comedy Bad Teacher looks absolutely hilarious. However, that may not entirely be due to the actress' presence in the film, but moreso due to the supporting cast that includes the fantastic Jason Segel, and the charismatic and funny Justin Timberlake. After all, I crack up everytime Segel yells, "It's the only argument I need Shawn!" Well, now we have some more laughs from the film in the form of a gag reel featuring all the aforementioned cast members and one great moment from John Michael Higgins and Paul Bates. Watch the video below!

Thor Freudenthal to Helm the 'Percy Jackson' Sequel 'Sea of Monsters'

Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Back in March we learned that Fox was already beginning to develop a sequel to Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, the first film adaptation of the five-book series from author Rick Riordan. Now 24 Frames reports director Thor Freudenthal, who has helmed family friendly adaptations like Hotel for Dogs and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, will now direct the sequel, The Sea of Monsters. Director Chris Columbus, who helmed the first installment of this new fantasy franchise, will still remain a producer of the sequel. Apparently production is expected to move quickly, and the film could see release in 2012.

Darren Aronofsky Directing Michael Chabon's 'Hobgoblin' WWII Pilot

Darren Aronofsky

We're breaking down to report on this today, just because Darren Aronofsky is awesome and this sounds amazing. Variety says that Aronofsky is set to direct the pilot episode of an HBO drama titled Hobgoblin. That's already a badass title, but hear this concept - it's described as "Inglorious Basterds with magicians." The show revolves around a group of con men and magicians who use their skills of deception to help defeat Hitler and the Germans during WWII. It gets better. Writing the script, at least for the pilot, is famed author Michael Chabon (Kavalier & Clay) working with his wife, author Ayelet Waldman. I so want to see this!

Review: Martin Campbell's 'Green Lantern' Looks Good, Feels Empty

Green Lantern Review

Being green is another way of saying amateurish, unpolished, showing the potential of something that could have been there given the time, effort, and willpower to craft a solid product. That fits in nicely when talking about Green Lantern, the latest movie based on a DC superhero and a film that is decidedly incomplete, an origin story, thrilling adventure, and space opera epic that never fully delivers any of those. Half-baked, goofy, and plastic all the way, it's the kind of by-the-numbers comic book movie you may have expected from Hollywood studios before they started taking the idea of transferring stories from the paneled page

Funnyman Charlie Day in Talks for Guillermo del Toro's 'Pacific Rim'

Charlie Day

Here is some of the most surprising/oddest casting in a while. Variety is reporting that Charlie Day, from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and Going the Distance, is in talks for some kind of role in the sci-fi film Guillermo del Toro is gearing up to direct next, Pacific Rim, for Legendary Pictures. Day's role would be that of a "professor," but that's all they say. Pacific Rim is already set to star Charlie Hunnan. The story sees extraterrestrial creatures hellbent on destroying Earth invading on each side of the pacific, so humanity bands together to develop highly advanced, weapon-ready robots to fight them. So, is Day the comic relief?

Harrison Ford & Daniel Craig Get an Official 'Cowboys & Aliens' Poster

Cowboys & Aliens

Yesss we've seen a lot of posters for Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens, but they keep coming up and they keep kickin' ass! This time, IGN has debuted the newest official poster, as this one features the forward-facing versions of stars Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford, as the last two teaser posters have had Craig either facing backwards or too dark to be seen. But I admire this poster because their faces are lit perfectly, it's pretty awesome, just simple and sleek (though no Struzan). Any JJ Abrams critics should make note of the gigantic lens flare coming off from side of this, but it adds a nice accent. Check out Ford & Craig below!

Andrew Stanton Talks Adapting 'John Carter' + Reveals Concept Art

John Carter

Disney has finally flipped on the marketing machine for Andrew Stanton's John Carter (of Mars) movie, which started with the reveal of a lackluster teaser poster yesterday, now an excellent interview today. Hero Complex has posted their full-on interview with Andrew Stanton, famed Pixar director of A Bug's Life, Finding Nemo and Wall-E, making his live-action debut with an epic sci-fi adaptation of a beloved series of novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. They also included two quick looks at some mesmerizing sci-fi concept art, so be sure to check those out. As our first real introduction to this film, I'm pumped, this sounds awesome!

Watch One Final 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' Trailer

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 Trailer

"The final battle is here!" Even though we're now 29 days away, Warner Bros isn't afraid of unveiling one more, yes, one more theatrical trailer (via Apple) for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Daniel Radcliffe stars as Harry Potter, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as his friends Hermione and Ron, with Ralph Fiennes as the evil Lord Voldemort, plus an epic ensemble cast of talented actors. This shows quite a bit from the movie and more of the spectacular moments we'll be seeing in this grand finale. That said, as a Harry Potter fan excited/nervous for this last journey, this is a phenomenal trailer. Enjoy!

Luke Evans Cast as Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit'!

Luke Evans

"I had you from my father, and he from of old." Rising British actor Luke Evans (from Clash of the Titans, The Three Musketeers 3D) has just landed a major role in Peter Jackson's already-underway adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkein's The Hobbit. Deadline reports that Evans will play Bard the Grim (or Bard the Bowman), a skilled archer and heir of Girion of Dale. Those that know the story know that Bard plays a bigger role in the later half, specifically with the dragon Smaug, as he is Laketown's archer. Deadline also says that Smaug still doesn't have a voice, though rumors include Bill Nighy and/or Leonard Nimoy. Go now and speed well!

Legendary Pictures Starting the Ignition on a 'Hot Wheels' Movie Now

Hot Wheels

If robots that transform into cars and vice versa was just a little too complicated for you, then you might like the next toy-to-film adaptation coming down the road. Variety reports Legendary Entertainment (which is actually just the worldwide label for Legendary Pictures) is in the midst of negotiating to snag the rights to Mattel's popular Hot Wheels toy car line. But get this, apparently the idea isn't to make a film that is geared towards kids, but rather producer an edgier film more along the lines of something like the Fast and the Furious franchise. Why not just make that kind of movie without the Hot Wheels brand name?

Hell yes! Mondo & Alamo Drafthouse have debuted two more prints in their ongoing "Director's Series" of posters for Guillermo del Toro. This time we've got two gorgeous new posters for del Toro's Cronos, his feature debut from 1993 with Ron Perlman, as well as The Devil's Backbone, his horror flick from 2001. You can see the artwork for both posters below, along with variant versions next to them (click for bigger). They will be sold by Mondo coming up.
