Zoe Saldana & Mark Ruffalo Join Marital Drama 'Infinitely Polar Bear'

Zoe Saldana

Though they're typically more interested in sci-fi action properties, last year J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot production banner back the romantic comedy Morning Glory as their first venture outside of familiar territory. Then last October we learned Abrams would continue thinking outside of the mystery box by producing a marital drama called Infinitely Polar Bear, but it has nothing to do with "Lost." At the time, Mark Ruffalo was said to be the top candidate to star in the film, and now Vulture confirms his casting along with Zoe Saldana (Avatar) negotiating to play his wife in what looks to be a promising new drama.

Watch: Impressive First Trailer for Brad Pitt's 'Moneyball' Adaptation

Moneyball Trailer

"If we win with this team, we'll change the game." Columbia has finally unveiled the first official trailer (via Yahoo) for Bennett Miller's adaptation of Moneyball. This is the same adaptation that Steven Soderbergh was working on before getting kicked off. Moneyball stars Brad Pitt as Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane, as well as Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Chris Pratt and Robin Wright. I expected to see great things, considering this is another Sorkin script, but this looks really, really good. There are some incredible shots, it looks heartfelt, I'm really looking forward to seeing this. Check out the full trailer below!

Watch: The Muppets Parody 'Green Lantern' in 'Being Green' Trailer

Being Green Teaser Trailer

"Why don't we just show a real trailer, I mean what are we hiding from?!" Genius, this is just genius, and I'm so glad it continues! Disney has launched another surprise parody trailer for The Muppets movie, this time making fun of Green Lantern, but it's all in good spirit. Kermit, the greenest Muppet of them all, leads the way, but the rest of the group is also there, including stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams (and I also love Jason's self-referential meta line at the end). We've already seen teaser trailers for The Fuzzy Pack and Green With Envy (both Muppets parodies) before, but each new trailer is getting better/funnier. Enjoy!

Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin Working on Jason Reitman's 'Labor Day'

Kate Winslet / Josh Brolin

Back in January of last year, it appeared as if director Jason Reitman would be taking on an adaptation of Labor Day. However, as we learned later in the year, he actually ended up reteaming with Juno writer Diablo Cody for Young Adult starring Charlize Theron. However, now it sounds like Reitman will return to the aforementioned adaptation and EW says Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin will star in the story that is described as a combination of a romance, coming-of-age tale and a thriller. The Joyce Maynard novel was just published in 2009 before Reitman and Up in the Air were nominated for Academy Awards.

Jon Hamm & Melissa McCarthy to Lead New Comedy from Paul Feig?

Jon Hamm and Melissa McCarthy

They both stole scenes at every turn in the surprisingly successful comedy Bridesmaids, and now Jon Hamm and Melissa McCarthy may reteam with director Paul Feig and producer Judd Apatow to star in a comedy of their own. The two won't be reprising their roles from the wedding comedy, but the currently untitled film would be about an unconventional romance about a man (Hamm) who becomes obsessed with a woman (McCarthy). However, Deadline notes that this project is still very early in development, and the actors aren't even negotiating to star in the comedy just yet. But it sounds like a great idea.

Worth Watching: First Trailer for Sci-Fi Indie 'Sol' from Ben Carland

Sol Trailer

"We have no idea where we are... Nobody does." Sol is a sci-fi motion picture event set in the distant future on a hostile alien planet. It follows a group of ambitious young adults as they embark upon the prestigious Sol Invictus competition in a quest to win fame and glory. Unfortunately, they got lost. This is a trailer for an odd, but fascinating indie sci-fi flick, debuted recently over on Apple. I love the score, it has an intriguing premise, but honestly, it still looks/sounds a bit too student-filmy. One of the young actors in this is Caleb Courtney, older brother of Joel Courtney, the lead kid from Super 8. I'm intrigued, at least. Check this out!

Steven Spielberg Could Bring 'Jurassic Park 4' Back from Extinction?

Jurassic Park 4

In the fall, we'll see Fox's new sci-fi series "Terra Nova" hit the small screen which has executive producer Steven Spielberg toying with dinosaurs for the first time since Jurassic Park III. And while that sequel's director Joe Johnston most recently had thoughts about a second trilogy for the dinosaur franchise, the interest seems to have faded away. Enter Spielberg himself who has apparently been meeting with screenwriter Mark Protosevich (the guy who was working with the director on that dead Oldboy remake with Will Smith) to develop ideas for Jurassic Park 4, a potential franchise reboot. "Life found a way."

Release Dates Updates: 'Django Unchained' & 'Haywire' Set for 2012

Django Unchained

Briefly: A few release schedule updates to our 2012 calendar. First up (via THR), Relativity Media is taking over distribution of Steven Soderbergh's latest film, the action spy movie Haywire starring Gina Carano. They've also set the film for release on January 20th, 2012 early next year, which means it's more genre than drama. Secondly, The Weinstein Company has apparently set the initial release date (via SlashFilm) for Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained for Christmas Day - December 25th, 2012, which is a very interesting choice. We still don't even know who is playing Django yet! More updates on the full calendar.

James Mangold is Prime Choice to Take Over 'The Wolverine' for Fox

James Mangold / Wolverine

Let's get this project back on track, bub. After Darren Aronofsky decided not to direct the upcoming X-Men spin-off The Wolverine, we were worried it might derail the project entirely, but Fox has made it a priority to get things back on track. It now looks like James Mangold (of Girl Interrupted, Kate & Leopold, Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma, Knight & Day) is their top choice to direct. Deadline is reporting that Fox and Hugh Jackman both want Mangold to direct, but he hasn't signed on yet. However, Fleming says "negotiations are about to get underway, but I'm told that Mangold will take the helming job." Looks like he'll be their man.

Watch: Another Badass Red Band Trailer for 'Attack the Block' Arrives

Attack the Block Trailer

"Welcome to London, mutha-f**ka!" Seriously, if you're not excited as hell to see Attack the Block yet, then watch this trailer, as it's a no-holds-barred red band trailer and it truly shows exactly what to expect and damn does it look so good! The soundtrack kicks ass, the effects and action look great, and the humor and kids, makes sense why everyone loves this movie. Thanks to Trailer Addict (via Collider) for debuting this new trailer tonight. They quote Jordan's review from UGO quite a bit in this, but I still can't wait to see it. We also posted a few glowing reviews and I've heard nothing but great things. Inner city vs. outer space!

Check This Out: Lots of Abs on New Poster for MMA Movie 'Warrior'

Gavin O'Connor's Warrior

Family is Worth Fighting For. Lionsgate has debuted another new poster for Gavin O'Connor's Warrior, the MMA fighters movie starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as brothers who end up fighting in the same tournament. I still prefer those first two teaser posters they made for this, but this one isn't so bad either. It's basically just an updated version with Hardy and Edgerton and more of their naked abs on display, maybe in hopes of attracting more ladies to see this. Thanks to Moviefone for debuting the poster, check it out below. A few more months to go until we finally get to see it! Catch the last official trailer here.

Hugh Jackman in Talks to Star in Tom Hooper's New 'Les Miserables'

Hugh Jackman

We all know that actor Hugh Jackman has a glorious singing voice and roots in musical theater, now he's bringing it all full circle. Variety, with another big casting scoop, is reporting that Jackman is now in talks for a lead role in Oscar winning (for The King's Speech) director Tom Hooper's latest adaptation of the musical Les Miserables, based on Victor Hugo's novel. The project was first announced back in March, but this is the first casting we've heard for it since then. Unfortunately, Variety doesn't know if Jackman will be playing Jean Valjean, the protagonist on the run in the story, or Javert, the police inspector after him.
