Check These Out: Stunning 'Harry Potter' Criterion Collection Covers
As many of you trek out to the movie theaters this weekend to end the saga, I'm sure many will be thinking about just how great all of the movies are. Warner Bros has continued to improve and deliver better movies each and every time. They're so good, one could say that they even belong in the Criterion Collection. If only. Well, a graphic designer named Patrick Sullivan designed a (faux) set of Criterion covers and cases for the 8-movie set on Tumblr, and it's just gorgeous. Do yourself a big favor and check these out, as the designs truly capture the emotional spirit and heart of the stories in creatively brilliant ways. See all 7 covers below!

20th Century Fox Adaptating Archaia Comic 'Rust' for the Big Screen
With Comic-Con about to hit, news of comic book adaptations is about to catch fire again, and to kick things off is THR's story about an Archaia graphic novel called Rust. They report that 20th Century Fox has acquired rights to the graphic novel, written by Royden Lepp, and have Aline Brosh McKenna (Devil Wears Prada, 27 Dresses, Morning Glory) set to write, Simon Kinberg (Jumper, X-Men: First Class) to produce. The project was recently shopped around town, but Fox made sure to grab it first. Rust is a "high-octane adventure set in the prairie lands of an unknown time" and the graphic novel hits shelves this September.

NBC's 'Friday Night Lights' TV Show Could Continue On With a Movie
What's this? Friday Night Lights, the hit NBC TV show which is coming to an end tonight, might find life after death? Now this may just be a marketing trick to get even us to mention this show, but hey, it's news. A tweet written by Bill Simmons kicked things off, saying: "Peter Berg told us he wants to do an FNL movie with Chandler/Britton off the final episode." So there you go, but it may just be more buzz as he added, "we didn't put it in the oral history." Now Deadline has confirmed the news, adding that Berg is "trying to put together a second movie with the principal cast of the series, which would pick up where the show left off."

Tom Hardy Now Attached to David Yates' Al Capone Project 'Cicero'
Tom Hardy is on quite a roll right now. Of course, finally showing his face (sort of) in the upcoming teaser for The Dark Knight Rises is only going to make him more well known, but he's got plenty of other projects on the horizon. Another one to add to his growing list is an Al Capone "origin story" project called Cicero, that Vulture (via SlashFilm) mentions in their latest article about the handful of projects Warner Bros is considering making after Harry Potter. It's a high profile project because also at the helm is David Yates, who just finished Deathly Hallows: Part 2 and can now go on to direct pretty much whatever he wants next.

Review: 'Deathly Hallows Part 2' is a Perfect End to the 'Potter' Series
Everything ends. 10 years of build. 10 years for millions and millions of fans around the world to wonder just how the Harry Potter franchise would end. While many of those fans learned exactly how it ended when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows the book released in 2007, seeing the conclusion come to cinematic life is finally upon us. No one, not J.K. Rowling, not the cast, not the director David Yates, have let us down, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the conclusion to the conclusion, ends up being the most satisfying conclusion that could possibly have been made. Not only that, it comes off

Who's Next? Dwarves Balin and Dwalin from 'The Hobbit' First Look
Who's up next in the on-going reveal of the Company of Dwarves from Peter Jackson's The Hobbit? Well it's Balin (Ken Stott) and Dwalin (Graham McTavish) of course! TIME has the latest first look unveiling for these two, following Bombur, Bofur & Bifur from just a few days ago. Dwarf Lords in their own right, Balin and Dwalin are close relatives of Thorin Oakenshield. Beyond this, these brothers are two of his most loyal and trusted friends... A powerful and bruising fighter, with a natural tendency to distrust anyone who is not a Dwarf, particularly anyone who might be an Elf, Dwalin is not someone to cross lightly. See below!

One Final Poster for Marvel's 'Captain America: The First Avenger' Hits
It's almost time to meet the very first Avenger, our WWII hero, the one-and-only Captain America. HitFix has premiered the final theatrical poster for Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger, featuring most of the cast including Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Hugo Weaving as Red Skull, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Tommy Lee Jones as Col. Phillips and even Sebastian Stan as Bucky, poking his head in. I wish I could tell you how much I loved this movie, but I'm sure you'll hear more in the next week. Compared to the international poster, which Ethan didn't like, this is a great final look at one of Marvel's best movies.

First Unimpressive Trailer for Joe Nimziki's New 'The Howling: Reborn'
"You lycanthropes are hard-frickin'-core!" This is meant to be watched as a joke, because boy does this look terrible, just terrible. And that's a shame, because Joe Dante's classic werewolf thriller The Howling is actually damn good, but with Twilight ruling the box office these days, we're only going to get even crappier imitations. This first trailer comes from Bloody-Disgusting and the film stars Landon Liboiron, Lindsey Shaw and Ivana Milicevic. Seriously, this looks atrocious, and I'm sorry for subjecting anyone to such a painful experience, but every once in a while we need something bad like this to set the lowest standards at.

Must Watch: First Trailer for Martin Scorsese's Charming 'Hugo' 3D!
"Do you want to have an adventure?" Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first charming trailer via Apple for Martin Scorsese's new 3D adventure, Hugo, the new official title of the adaptation of The Invention of Hugo Cabret, by Brian Selznick. This delightful family comedy stars Asa Butterfield and Chloe Moretz, with Jude Law, Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Kingsley, Ray Winstone, Christopher Lee, Richard Griffiths and Michael Stuhlbarg. This is just a wonderful trailer, it looks so amazing, I can't wait to see it. And of course "Kings & Queens" certainly helps a bit. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think?

Cary Fukunaga in Talks to Direct 'Spaceless' Sci-Fi Project at Universal
A potential new project for rising filmmaker Cary Fukunaga, who last directed the gothic Jane Eyre, that sounds like it could be pretty damn cool. The Playlist mentioned a tweet (albeit two months old) posted by screenwriter Jeff Vintar (Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, I Robot aka @JeffVintar) that stated straight up: "More good news as Cary Fukunaga (Sin Nombre/Jane Eyre) is in talks to direct my script SPACELESS for producer Gore Verbinski and Universal." Playlist has since confirmed that Fukunaga is interested in Spaceless, a psychological sci-fi project that sounds awesome, but has been kept in the shadows recently.

Jaume Collet-Serra Next in Line to Direct Warner Bros' 'Akira' Movie
It just keeps coming back! I keep hearing about countless directors being offered—and passing on—directing Warner Bros' live-action adaptation of Akira, which Alan Hughes dropped off of a couple of months ago. The project is just dragging along, losing actors, directors, but now there's a little hope - if you can call it that. Variety is reporting that Spanish director Jaume Collet-Serra (of House of Wax, Goal II: Living the Dream, Orphan and Unknown for Warner Bros) is now set to direct the live-action Akira, also being turned into a $90 million tentpole, even though that budget seems a little low to me. We'll see if this one survives.
