Even More Photos: Martin Sheen, Rhys Ifans in 'Amazing Spider-Man'

The Amazing Spider-Man

I'm so excited for The Amazing Spider-Man already! We just previewed some of the new photos debuted in Entertainment Weekly, and the magazine fired back by debuting the clean official copies of the photos on their website online. In addition to the others we saw, there are five new photos worth pointing out, because we get our first looks at Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors, who as we all know becomes The Lizard, as well as Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) with his Aunt and Uncle Parker, Sally Field and Martin Sheen. Plus, there's a sweaty photo of Peter with Emma Stone and another shot of his badass mechanical webshooters.

"I'm going to take a tissue sample..." It's time. It's time to meet The Thing. Universal has debuted the first official trailer on MSN (via The Playlist), finally after months, for their highly anticipated prequel to John Carpenter's The Thing, oddly also titled The Thing. This just looks awesome and creepy and badass, I'm in, I can't wait, it really does look great. Starring in the film is Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Eric Christian Olsen, Joel Edgerton, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Ulrich Thomsen. I just love the thrills and intensity of this trailer. It's best to watch it fresh, not expecting anything, so dive right in before it's too late!

First Official Look: Colin Farrell in Len Wiseman's 'Total Recall' Reboot

Colin Farrell in Total Recall

Meet the new Doug Quaid. Below is our very first official look at Colin Farrell starring in the upcoming remake/reboot of Total Recall. The photo comes from our friends at The Film Stage scanned from the latest Entertainment Weekly. Unlike those recent set photos that hit the web, this is worth looking at as our first look, as we get a bit of a sense of the world and the feel to Len Wiseman's new take on this sci-fi, based on the Philip K. Dick short story "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale". Farrell says the tone of this film is "much less jokey" than Paul Verhoeven's 1990 film. I hope so. Check out this first look photo below.

Glee: The 3D Concert Movie

"Don't Stop, Believin'!" Fox has debuted the first official trailer for Glee: The 3D Concert Movie over on Apple in high def, and it's fun, at least if you love Glee and hearing lots of singing. That said, if you don't like Glee, please don't get all heated up about this, as this entire movie was made for the fans around the world to enjoy, not for others to criticize. So here we go! Pretty much the entire cast comes back, as this was shot with footage from their live concert tour that just happened this summer. I'm impressed they put this together so quickly. It's a quick trailer with just a glimpse at the backstage/concert footage you'll see in this.

This film is already poised to be the talk of the Con, but Spider-Man is still looking better and better and I'm getting very excited to see what goes down at Comic-Con. Word is there's already a two-and-a-half-minute trailer in the works somewhere, potentially next week, which is would be great if true. For now, let's jump into the world of The Amazing Spider-Man!

Watch: First Teaser Trailer for Andrew Stanton's 'John Carter of Mars'

John Carter of Mars Teaser Trailer

"Fate has brought you here, John Carter!" Disney has finally debuted the first official teaser trailer in HD on Apple for Andrew Stanton's upcoming sci-fi adaptation of John Carter of Mars, now simply known as John Carter, without Mars. Playing John Carter is actor Taylor Kitsch, who is joined by Lynn Collins, Mark Strong, Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church and many others. This plays like more of a western, which goes along with what Stanton has been saying about making this as a historical epic, but it's a great first tease and I'm intrigued. I love the music and I think this is a great first introduction, but that's just me.

Watch: Full Official Trailer for Aardman's 'The Pirates! Band of Misfits'

The Pirates! Band of Misfits Trailer

"We laugh in the face of danger!" Sony Animation has unveiled the first full trailer via Apple for Aardman Animation's new film The Pirates! Band of Misfits, another high seas adventure this time involving the Pirate Captain (as voiced by Hugh Grant). The rest of the voice cast includes: Martin Freeman, Brendan Gleeson, David Tennant, Salma Hayek, Jeremy Piven and Imelda Staunton. This looks like so much fun! I've ragged on Aardman before, as I hated Flushed Away and I'm not the biggest Wallace & Gromit fan, but I'm glad to see they're back making movies that just look fun and have that unique stop-motion Aardman style.

Must Watch: First Thrilling Trailer for Steven Soderbergh's 'Contagion'

Contagion Trailer

No one is immune to fear. Warner Bros has released the first trailer via Apple for Steven Soderbergh's virus thriller Contagion, and damn does this look like a good one. The film has a great cast: Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Marion Cotillard, Bryan Cranston, Jude Law, John Hawkes and more. It's about a virus outbreak that's spreading across the world and the team of CDC doctors involved in fighting it. This definitely reminds me of Outbreak, but with a totally different sensibility thanks to Soderbergh's filmmaking, which I love to watch. It looks quite scary, can't wait to see it!

First Look: Bloody NSFW Poster for Lionsgate's New 'Nurse 3D' Movie

Nurse 3D

Oh boy, here we go. Lionsgate has debuted what they're calling "pre-production concept art" of actress Paz De La Huerta in character (read: nude & bloody) as Abby, the central character in Lionsgate’s forthcoming "psycho-sexual" 3D thriller, Nurse 3D. The art was debuted by V Magazine, and this is the first we've heard of the project since shooting doesn't even begin until September up in Toronto. This whole thing is the idea of Lionsgate's Chief Marketing Officer Tim Palen, an avid photographer who's also behind all the Saw marketing campaigns and made that fantastically gory GUTS photobook, too. Anyway, check it out (NSFW).

Evil Dead Diablo Cody

A couple of updates regarding screenwriters. First off, Ghost House Pictures officially announced details on The Evil Dead remake today, confirming that it is coming and that Uruguayan filmmaker Fede Alvarez would be making his feature debut directing the project. Hidden in the update is this bit: "Diablo Cody is currently doing revisions on the draft." Yep, the same Diablo Cody who won the Oscar for Juno, and also wrote Jennifer's Body and Young Adult. The original script was written by Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues. In addition, Deadline reports that Legendary is hiring David Goyer to revise the script for the new Godzilla.
