Fourth 'Hobbit' First Look: Dwarves Bombur, Bofur & Bifur Are Next!
More Middle-Earth dwarves! Up next from The Hobbit following Fili & Kili is our first look at Stephen Hunter as Bombur, James Nesbitt as Bofur and William Kircher as Bifur. While most of the Company of Thorin Oakensheild is related to the royal and noble line of Durin, Bofur, his brother Bombur and their cousin Bifur most definitely are... not. Born and bred in the West, descendants of coal miners and iron workers, they have joined the Quest for the Lonely Mountain partly to seek their fortune and partly because they were told the beer was free. Awesome! Alas, these three look the most doctored out of any, but oh well.

Check This Out: A 'Harry Potter Movies By The Numbers' Infographic
The final Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is poised to break records and make millions, if not billions, once it hits theaters this weekend. I'm sure many have heard before that it's already one of the most successful film franchises in history, earning more morning than just about anything, but that makes sense considering there are a total of 8 movies spanning back to 2001. On Cinema Blend, they've whipped up an infographic titled Harry Potter Movies By The Numbers that looks at all the facts and figures regarding its $6 billion+ box office earnings. If you're not already in awe of Harry Potter, you will by the end of this!

Warner Bros Picks Up Jonathan Liebesman's Julius Caesar Action Pitch
More epic historical action coming our way. Deadline reports that Warner Bros has acquired a pitch for an "epic-sized" story about Roman leader Gaius Julius Caesar, but it is not a biopic. The project is being developed by director Jonathan Liebesman (The Killing Room, Battle Los Angeles, Clash of the Titans 2) from a screenplay by Chris Boal, The Hurt Locker writer Mark Boal's brother. They explain that the "idea is to create a sweeping drama with a big movie star part" and it will of course have plenty of fights, so maybe a bit like 300, but with the Roman empire, as the story focuses on Caesar building the 10th Legion in Spain.

Newest Poster for 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark' Has Nothing But Text
Don't be afraid of the... text? Another new poster (I don't know why we even need another one?) has hit the web via MTV for Troy Nixey's horror film Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, produced by Guillermo del Toro and starring Guy Pearce and Katie Holmes. Alas, it's not a very good poster, though I do appreciate their attempt at using typography to sell a film. Bloody-Disgusting has even gone so far as to call it the "Worst Poster of the Year", which is a bit harsh, but there's really nothing to this, so I can understand why. It's a bit sad as the last poster they released is one of my favorites. I'm still looking forward to this, I heard it's good.

Watch: First Trailer for Sean Penn's New Indie 'This Must Be The Place'
"Actually, Mick Jagger sang with me." Time to get a little taste of Sean Penn in drag. Our friends at Twitch have uncovered the first trailer for an indie film called This Must Be The Place, directed by an Italian filmmaker starring Sean Penn as a "bored, retired rock star" who hunts the US to find the ex-Nazi war criminal who killed his father and "track down and confront his father's nemesis." Despite premiering at the Cannes Film Festival this summer, it received mostly mixed-to-negative reviews, so I'm not sure I'm all that interested in it, even though this trailer does seem intriguing. At least it's well-made, I may yet check it out.

Casting Tidbits: B.J. Novak, Chace Crawford, Steve Coogan and More
As long as there's injustice, whenever a Targathian baby cries out, wherever a Casting Tidbits sounds among the stars, we'll be there. This fine ship, this fine crew. Never give up and never surrender. First up, The Playlist has confirmed that B.J. Novak will take a feature film role while on his hiatus from "The Office" this summer with a bit part in Sacha Baron Cohen's The Dictator. It's not clear what role he'll play as they're all being kept very secret, but he joins quite a cast that includes Cohen in dual roles, not to mention Ben Kingsley, Anna Faris, Megan Fox, John C. Reilly and likely plenty of others we haven't heard about yet.

Paul Rudd to Lead Errol Morris' Adaptation of 'We Froze the First Man'
As of late we've been enjoying Paul Rudd in R-rated comedies like Role Models, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You, Man, but one of his upcoming roles looks to take him away from the usual raunchy humor. The Washington Post has learned that acclaimed documentarian Errol Morris (The Fog of War, The Thin Blue Line) has set Rudd to lead his currently untitled adaptation of Bob Nelson's memoir We Froze the First Man. The story will follow a California TV repairman who gets into cryogenic freezing after meeting a group of people in the 1960's who believe they can cheat death with the new technology.

Edward Norton to Play the Villain in Tony Gilroy's New 'Bourne Legacy'
Some juicy new casting news to throw your way this evening. Variety is reporting a big scoop that Oscar nominated actor Edward Norton, out shooting Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom, is "in negotiations" to play the the villain in Universal's The Bourne Legacy opposite Jeremy Renner. The film is being directed by Tony Gilroy and also has Rachel Weisz attached to star. Unfortunately, they don't have any details on the character or story, except that it's about "another assassin who seeks his identity" that isn't Jason Bourne, as we've known for a while. Either way, it's awesome to see Norton back in a good role with potential like this.

Must Watch: First Trailer for 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'!
"Oh how I've missed you Holmes." Hell yes, he's back! Warner Bros has debuted the first full-length trailer on Apple for Guy Ritchie's sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, once again starring Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson. This looks awesome, it's so great to be back in this world! In addition to those two, we're introduced to Noomi Rapace as "Sim" and of course, Holmes' nemesis Professor Moriarty, played by Jared Harris. There are some awesome-looking action scenes in this, from the train to the forest. I'm pumped, this looks like it'll be a fantastic follow-up to this first movie!

Watch: 'Hitch' Animated Short Envisions Alfred Hitchcock Cookbook
"For me, the cinema is not a slice of life, but a piece of cake." Here's another video that cinephiles should get a kick out of. Originally posted by SlashFilm, it's a short film called Hitch created by Felix Meyer, Pascal Monaco and Torsten Strer that's about "The Ultimate Hitch Cookbook." Essentially, it's a quick, fun recipe guide for Alfred Hitchcock and his films. The narrator talks about the cookbook for "the famous director and part time gourmet" and what makes his work extraordinary, combining ingredients for great films with ingredients for great food. It's excellently animated and is just a fun video to watch this evening.

Remake Rumors: Chris Pine for 'RoboCop' and Josh Brolin for 'Oldboy'
With both of these projects finally having directors lined up, it's no surprise that we're starting to hear about casting for the remakes of both RoboCop and Oldboy. Over at Twitch, they seem to have the hot scoop on some very early, but still speculative casting for both projects, and each report is interesting in its own way. One report has Star Trek lead Chris Pine as the top choice to take on the titular metallic police enforcer from director Jose Padilha while another has Josh Brolin being in very early discussions to take on a role in the remake of Oldboy which just had Spike Lee confirmed to direct the feature.

Kristen Wiig Producing and Starring in Her Passion Project 'Imogene'
After leading this summer's breakout comedy hit Bridesmaids, "Saturday Night Live" cast member Kristen Wiig is moving on to a project very close to her heart. THR reports the actress has finally lined up her passion project Imogene for an August production start, and she'll not only be producing but starring as the title character as well. The Playlist first reported on this project last year, but now a solid date start in New York City is set for the story of a moderately successful New York playwright who fakes a suicide attempt in order to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to be under the custody of her mother, a gambler.
