First Epic Teaser Poster for 'The Dark Knight Rises' Comes Crashing In
Are you ready for the first official teaser poster for The Dark Knight Rises? Because it's time. This teaser poster was discovered hidden on the official website and can be seen below. I'm more inclined to call this The Dark Knight Crumbles, more than Rises, but it looks incredibly epic either way. The Dark Knight Rises is once again directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathway, Michael Caine and more. We've been waiting for this poster ever since The Dark Knight ended, and here it finally is, our very first introduction to the world we'll see in theaters next July.

Watch: Official Trailer for Vera Farmiga's Indie Flick 'Higher Ground'
"You cannot let sexual chemistry burn out!" Sony Pictures Classics has debuted the official trailer for Higher Ground, the religions indie directed by actress Vera Farmiga, who also stars in it. The film has been called "a rich, sprawling, uplifting, disquieting, at once demystifying and mysterious drama about the life and love and heartbreak and faith of one woman in America who's an evangelical Christian" and received mostly positive reviews at Sundance this year. It doesn't look as funny or engaging as I thought it would, but I might still check this out. The cast includes Joshua Leonard, John Hawkes and Donna Murphy.

First Real Teaser Poster for Universal's 'The Thing' Prequel Unearthed
It's Not Human... Universal has finally unveiled the first official teaser poster for The Thing prequel, starring Joel Edgerton, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. This is clearly just a teaser poster, following the first look photos from last year, because all we get is the text logo and a glimpse at some imagery - something a little inhuman. After delaying the release for almost an entire year, Universal now has this scheduled for October 14th this fall. So is this early look at the teaser a hint that we might see something like a trailer at Comic-Con next week? We can only hope, as I'm still excited to actually see one.

Wild New Photos for Dario Argento's 'Dracula 3D' with Rutger Hauer
What the f--? A gigantic new batch of photos from Dario Argento's upcoming Dracula 3D recently showed up on the film's official website (via STYD) and they're frickin' crazy weird, you must take a look no matter what. We've been hearing about this film for a while, but now finally have a first look, and if you're really into this, there's a behind-the-scenes video on the site, too. The film stars Thomas Kretschmann as Dracula, Rutger Hauer as "Abraham Van Helsing", and Dario's daughter Asia Argento as Lucy. You can see all three of them in these photos, but be warned, a few of these are borderline NSFW. Otherwise, enjoy!

Arnold Schwarzenegger Now Ready to Return Again with 'Last Stand'?
Back in April, we learned that Arnold Schwarzenegger would make his return to the big screen with Last Stand, a gestating western that would mark the English language debut of director Jee-woon Kim. However, when the actor's life took an unfortunate turn as it was revealed that he had a love child with his family's nanny, and decided to separate from his wife Maria Shriver, all of his projects were on hold indefinitely to allow the former governor to deal with his family issues first. Now Deadline has word that Schwarzenegger is back on for Last Stand, and the project could go in front of cameras this September.

Julian Schnabel and Johnny Depp to Reunite for 'In the Hand of Dante'
The two previously collaborated on Before Night Falls, but now director Julian Schnabel and international super star Johnny Depp are looking to work together yet again. The Playlist just recently talked with the filmmaker who revealed that Depp asked him to take a look at the Nick Tosches' book In the Hand of Dante as a potential next project. Depp bought the rights to the book a few years back, and is apparently keen on getting it off the ground. Revolving around Dante's classic work The Divine Comedy, this is definitely sounding like one of those lower profile films that keeps Depp interesting to cinephiles.

AMPAS Archiving Mondo Posters + Drew Struzan's 'Frankenstein' Art
Mondo made its mark. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that it would begin archiving film posters from Mondo, the Alamo Drafthouse's collectible art boutique. In addition, they launched a website located at mondoarchive.com that chronicles all poster releases since their inception in 1999. Finally, one of the first posters to be archived with the Academy is a gorgeous limited edition print of the classic Frankenstein (1931) from legendary poster artist Drew Struzan (see it in full below). This is the first time Mondo has worked with Drew Struzan and the result is just stunning, but it's extremely tall.

Spike Lee Will Be Mookie Again in His New Project 'Red Hook Summer'
Over the past few years Spike Lee has been busy in the documentary arena with films like Kobe Doin' Work and If God is Willing and Da Creek Don't Rise, his follow-up to When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts. However, the filmmaker hasn't taken on a narrative feature film since the 2008 war drama Miracle at St. Anna. However, this morning, Lee surprised everyone with an update on Twitter talking about the first day of shooting on a new Spike Lee joint today. At first, no one was sure what film he was talking about, but thankfully BlackFilm (via The Playlist and Shadow and Act) have unearthed some details on the project.

International Poster for 'The Muppets' Has Whole Gang Really Excited
From the cheesy faux romantic comedy preview to the Green Lantern inspired trailer, the marketing for The Muppets has been fun and just plain fantastic. Then the full length trailer without any fake movies or teasing finally came through and it looks like our favorite puppets are going to return to the big screen with quite a splash. On the poster side of things, that first one with the Muppets walking was a little strange since we've never seen full body shots of them moving before. Well, thankfully this new international poster harkens back to the colorful Toy Story 3 poster of last year and has the gang super excited for the movie!

Must Watch: Full Length International Trailer for 'Adventures of Tintin'
So far we've only seen a short but sweet teaser for Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson's collaborative motion capture animation film The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, but that was enough to get me pumped for the film later this year. Now thankfully we have an extended look at the promising film starring Jamie Bell as the titular intrepid reporter. Honestly, this is some of the best motion capture animation I've ever seen, and seeing the style of Hergé's illustrations come to life is pretty fantastic. Hopefully audiences will be just as interested in the film this December as I am now. See the trailer below!
