First Look: Lily Collins as the Colorful Snow White in Tarsem's Movie
Wow this is a colorful photo, and a colorful dress, and a color background. But of course I wouldn't expect anything less from the visionary Tarsem Singh. Instead of showing up at Comic-Con this year, Tarsem is staying back to keep shooting his new film, The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, which is just a tentative title. Entertainment Weekly has unveiled a first look at 22-year-old Lily Collins as Snow White and, well, this kind of reminds me of Tim Burton's Alice of Wonderland. “It’s so epic. I was part of a costume ball today, so you can only imagine the outfits," Collins boasts to EW. Check out the full-size photo of her below.

Warner Bros Sets a June 2013 Release for Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel'
Briefly: Warner Bros just dropped some surprising news today that perhaps they hope will quickly be lost in the mix of Comic-Con. ComingSoon is reporting that WB announced a June 14th, 2013 release date, 23 months away, officially for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, his new Superman movie starring Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent. It was originally mentioned that the film would be ready by December 2012 next year, but it looks as if WB wants to hold it until the following summer. The Man of Steel cast also includes Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon and Russell Crowe. We'll keep everyone updated.

First Official Photo from Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' Unearthed Online
Ohhh hell yes, Ridley Scott is finally back at it, bringing us more of his classic sci-fi! The first official photo from Prometheus, Scott's first sci-fi movie in over 29 years, has just hit the web via twitpic online, and we're pretty sure this all there is so far. Not much is known about the plot of Prometheus yet, besides that it might indeed be an Alien prequel involving the Space Jockey seen in the giant ship, but other than that this is our first real glimpse at the atmosphere of the film. And as our very first look, this is just awesome, but I'm a big sci-fi geek. The presentation at Comic-Con is just about to start too, so we expect to see more soon.

Sam Jackson is Producing a Live-Action Adaptation of 'Afro Samurai'
The property has already made a splash as a popular animated series, but now Gonzo Studios is teaming with The Indomina Group for a live-action adaptation of Afro Samurai with series voice talent Samuel L. Jackson stepping up to produce the adaptation of the 2007 animated series which also spawned a 2009 TV movie Afro Samurai: Resurrection. Meshing mind-bending hip-hop, Japanese culture and some truly killer action, the original series followed a black samurai's hunt for a man named Justice (voiced by Ron Perlman) who murdered his father. However, it's not clear if the live-action film will adapt the same story or not.

Zachary Sherman's comic book trilogy Shrapnel. The futuristic story follows a former military officer who organizes a revolt on the planet Venus.

Bob Stencil at Comic-Con 2011: Wednesday Night 'Twilight' Teaser!
He's back with his unforgettable mustache and sunglasses again and already starting his Comic-Con 2011 coverage early with a Wednesday night teaser video! Bob Stencil has already made some new friends in San Diego and has just sent over the first video to watch - and you know you've got to watch it. In it, Bob Stencil contemplates waiting in line overnight to get a good seat for the Thursday morning Twilight: Breaking Dawn panel, but thankfully meets a couple of Twi-hards that talk (and talk and talk and talk) him out of it. This is only the first of many Bob Stencil videos to be hitting this week, so watch below and enjoy!

Video Interview: Joe Johnston - Director of Marvel's 'Captain America'
He's brought us everything from Honey I Shrunk the Kids to The Rocketeer to Jumanji to October Sky and Jurassic Park III, but his latest movie is a Marvel Studios production and one of their best yet. I'm talking about Captain America: The First Avenger and its director, Joe Johnston, who I had the honor of interviewing in-person on-camera last week after seeing the movie (and I totally loved it). I could've spent an hour chatting with Joe, but only got 16 minutes with him and packed in as many good questions as was possible. He's a great guy and I think very responsible for Captain America being such an awesome movie.

Watch: First New Trailer for 'Catfish' Directors' 'Paranormal Activity 3'
Discover the Secret Behind the Activity. Out of nowhere today comes the first trailer for the next iteration in Paramount's incredibly successful found-footage horror-thriller series Paranormal Activity. This originally popped up on YouTube via The Film Stage this morning. As many remember, they hired Catfish directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman to helm this new sequel, and it looks like they've decided to focus on two young girls this time, not a new family with a baby. It looks pretty much like more of the same, but gets very interesting/creepy when the "Bloody Mary" game comes into play near the end. Remember the rules?

ARG Viral Armadyne Site for Neill Blomkamp's 'Elysium' Discovered
Yes, finally, something! One of the greatest virals I've followed from its early days to completion was for District 9, which turned out to be the kick ass debut of director Neill Blomkamp. For the last few years, Blomkamp has been prepping his next feature, another sci-fi project simply known as Elysium that's set far in the future, supposedly on another planet. At Comic-Con tonight, although I completely missed them, on display all around the Con (via ComingSoon) were signs that said "We're Building the Future and We Need You" with a link to Armadyne.net, a brand new viral ARG website asking people to "Come Build With Us".

First Official Teaser Poster for 'The Amazing Spider-Man' Just a Tease
I know there are plenty of Spider-Man fans out there, even those who aren't excited for next year's reboot, and although we just saw the teaser trailer yesterday, I still need to write about this poster. I came across this while perusing the Comic-Con showfloor last night and decided to take a clean, high res photo for everyone to get a better look at. It's the official teaser poster for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man and features the new logo and the new Spidey symbol from his superhero costume, which we've seen plenty of thanks to new photos and that trailer. There's nothing else, not even a tagline, but it's still a sleek poster.

Comic-Con 2011: Our Early Batch of Preview Night Showfloor Photos
It's my tradition to kick off Comic-Con by walking the showfloor on preview night and taking photos of anything movie-related that interests me. This year there seems to be a lot of the same booths, statues and setups as years' past, but as always there's some new stuff to be found on the massive convention center showfloor. I made my way through the crowds and snapped as many shots as I could before ducking out, but there will certainly be more to come at the end (as we always do a wrap-up piece as well). For now, take a look at our first gallery below, including some photos of Marvel's big Helicarrier display for The Avengers.

Watch: Peter Jackson's Third Wonderful 'The Hobbit' Video Blog is Up
He's back! Peter Jackson took to his Facebook once again to, first, inform everyone that there will not be any presentation/footage for The Hobbit showing up at Comic-Con this week and, secondly, let everyone know that instead, he's released another fantastic 13-minute (the longest one yet!) video blog for all of us to watch. It was only just a few weeks ago that he premiered his second blog, focused on location scouting in New Zealand and "block 1" of shooting, but this one is better than the last two. This time, we finally get to see lots of shooting and action and dwarves running around, plus hear from many of the actors, it's so good!
