Scorsese Could Direct Leonardo DiCaprio in Remake of 'The Gambler'
Ohhh Martin Scorsese, there's nothing he won't get attached to. Deadline is reporting that Paramount is developing a remake of the 1974 gambling drama The Gambler, and that they've attached Leonardo DiCaprio to star. But that's not all, as he comes with Scorsese, too! They're saying that the project is a "potential directing vehicle for Martin Scorsese" with a screenplay from William Monahan, who won an Oscar like Scorsese for writing The Departed. Quite a Departed round-up, which is exactly what makes this so enticing. But, of course, all three of these guys have their hands in so many other places at the moment.

Watch: Theatrical Trailer for 'Fireflies in the Garden' Ensemble Drama
"It hasn't always been like this, has it?" Time for a trip down memory lane, as we're featuring a trailer for a film called Fireflies in the Garden, and it's not the first time we've had a trailer for it. Way back in 2008, when this film was made, we posted a trailer and I was pretty excited about it. Jump ahead three years and they still haven't released this film, I'm not really sure why, but it has a great cast, at least. The fractured-narrative ensemble drama stars Ryan Reynolds, who is really the primary focus, Julia Roberts, Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Ioan Gruffudd, Hayden Panettiere and Cayden Boyd.

Zoe Saldana Will Play a Half-Human, Half-Angel in Thriller 'Dominion'
Obviously well-timed with the release of her new action movie Colombiana this weekend, THR is reporting that Paramount has set up a supernatural thriller called Dominion starring badass-hottie Zoe Saldana. There is no director yet, but the pitch is from writers Dean McCreary & Chester Hastings. It apparently has something to do with a woman, to be played by Saldana, who is half-human, half-angel. Not much more is known beyond that, but the project is being produced by Saldana, as well as Robbie Brenner, of A Perfect Getaway and Machine Gun Preacher. This seems like a rather interesting project to watch out for. Read on!

Check This Out: Massive, Detailed Infographic on James Bond's Cars
Hey Bond fans, do we have an infographic for you! I recently found this massive, 19,000px-tall infographic titled James Bond's Cars, or the "Historical Background of the Vehicles Driven by Legendary Agent 007." And when they say a historical background on the vehicles, they mean all of his vehicles, every last one, all 23. They cover just about every special car Q built for James, as well as vehicles that were stolen by Bond or driven at any point. He's driven 8 Aston Martins and 4 Fords (wha?) plus a wide variety of others, including Bentley, Rolls-Royce and that Lotus Esprit Turbo from For Your Eyes Only. Check this out below!

Sound Off: Troy Nixey's 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark' - Your Thoughts?
Now that you've seen it, what did you think? It's back from 1973, the TV horror movie Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is here to haunt you again. In this new remake, producer Guillermo del Toro guides first-time feature filmmaker Troy Nixey as he brings yet another haunted house to life. The cast includes Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce and Bailee Madison as the young girl tormented by nasty little creatures who come from a chamber in the basement. So how is this remake? As creepy as the original or even scarier? If you've seen it, leave a comment below and tell us your thoughts on the new Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.

'Source Code' Writer Bringing 'Flatliners' Remake to Life at Columbia
Yes, I've got to start with the obligatory "it's back from the dead!" THR is reporting that Columbia Pictures has a remake of Flatliners in the works, and that Further Films, who produced the original, is developing, along with producer Laurence Mark (The Lookout, Julie & Julia, How Do You Know). Set to write the script is Ben Ripley, mostly known for writing the original screenplay for Duncan Jones' Source Code, but also has credited work on some Species sequels. That's all they've announced for this new version so far. To be honest, I love the concept, and that Schumacher one just doesn't deliver. Some lines shouldn't be crossed.

Jim Sturgess Also Has a Role in Wachowskis' 'Cloud Atlas' Adaptation
Already boasting in an impressive cast (despite its modest budget), the adaptation of David Mitchell's novel Cloud Atlas from the Wachowski siblings and German filmmaker Tom Tykwer, the production can't help but add another great cast member. USA Today confirms (via The Playlist) that One Day and Across the Universe star Jim Sturgess will be part of the cast which already includes Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Susan Sarandon, Ben Whishaw and Jim Broadbent. And considering we've heard each actor will play a variety of characters in the six worlds of the story, it should be quite the spectacle.

Watch: UK Trailer for Lars von Trier's 'Melancholia' with Kirsten Dunst
"What star is that?" "It's a planet that's been hiding behind the sun, now it passes by us." Another new UK trailer has just debuted on Digital Spy (via The Playlist) today for Lars von Trier's Melancholia, starring primarily Kirsten Dunst, with a supporting cast including Kiefer Sutherland, Charlotte Gainsbourg, John Hurt, Stellan & Alexander SkarsgÄrd and Charlotte Rampling, among others. This is a rather short trailer and I still prefer the first one we ran, but at least it's a reminder that this flick is coming up soon, so if von Trier's new sci-fi drama intrigues you, go see it in theaters. Check out this UK trailer below.

Brit Marling, Olivia Wilde & More Shortlisted for Kosinski's 'Horizons'
With Tom Cruise already confirmed to lead Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski's ambitious sci-fi project Horizons (formerly known as Oblivion), the project is now ready to fill out the rest of the cast. Variety reports Universal is ready to find their female lead for the film, and the shortlist includes Jessica Chastain (Take Shelter), Olivia Wilde (Tron Legacy), Brit Marling (Another Earth), Noomi Rapace (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace). Of course, it sounds like there's probably more names than this also vying for the role, but these are the names auditioning this weekend.

Watch: Latest International Trailer for Andrew Niccol's Sci-Fi 'In Time'
"We're not meant to live forever." Fox Malaysia has debuted a new international trailer for Andrew Niccol's In Time, the semi-sci-fi thriller starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried as time-fugitives on the run. Honestly, this is looking better and better with each new trailer. In this one, we we get a bit more time (get it?) with Olivia Wilde, and a spoiler for her character, a bit less with Cillian Murphy, but more action and a better look at how these two will "upset the entire system" messing with time distribution and citizens. I'm actually starting to like the way this is turning out, finally more good sci-fi from Andrew Niccol.

Maintain the Quarantine - Massive New Batch of 'Contagion' Photos
Don't Touch Anyone. In just a few weeks, Steven Soderbergh's virus thriller Contagion will be unleashed upon US audiences. To highlight the ensemble cast, Warner Bros has released a massive batch of around 70 photos, which you can see all of on The Film Stage. I'm pretty frickin' excited for this movie, so I decided to feature a few of my favorite shots, since there are so many good ones. This looks so good, can't wait! Seen below: Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, Laurence Fishburne, Jennifer Ehle, Marion Cotillard, Bryan Cranston, and Chin Han (aka Lau in TDK). Maintain the Quarantine!

Must Watch: Official Trailer for 'The Rum Diary' Starring Johnny Depp
Comes for the Madness, Stay for a Drink! Johnny Depp is finally back for more Hunter S. Thompson wackiness! After delaying this film for quite a while, FilmDistrict has finally launched the first official trailer for The Rum Diary, based off of Hunter S. Thompson's novel, starring Johnny Depp as Paul Kemp, a divorced alcoholic who heads down to San Juan to work as a journalist for the newspaper. This is as wacky as it sounds, but looks awesome, at least like it's going to be insanely fun to watch. The cast includes Amber Heard, Aaron Eckhart, Giovanni Ribisi and Richard Jenkins. "No such thing as 470 proof alcohol!"
