Watch: One Final Red Band for del Toro's 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark'
Turn off the lights. FilmDistrict unveiled a last minute red band trailer via Twitch for Troy Nixey's Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, the Guillermo del Toro-produced haunted house flick that hits theaters tomorrow. Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce star, along with Bailee Madison as the young girl, who is terrorized by teeth-hungry little creatures, like the one seen above, that crawl out of a chamber in the basement. I've seen the movie and it's definitely a good choice if you're looking for some horror this weekend, but if you're not hooked yet, maybe this trailer could convince you a little spook might be fun. Yea, those lil' guys are freaky!

Watch: A Mysterious 'Back to the Future' Viral Video from Argentina
After recently revealing one of the lingering mysteries from the classic Back to the Future trilogy, the explanation behind the meeting of Doc Brown and Marty McFly, a strange new video has appeared online featuring one of those two time traveler's along with the signature DeLorean time machine everyone knows and loves. Shot as a found footage piece, the short video finds the DeLorean skyrocketing down a street in Argentina and driving into some sort of open store front. Then suddenly Doc Brown (actually Christopher Lloyd) emerges and is excited to discover that he's arrived in the year 2011. This is awesome, whatever it is!

Dan Aykroyd Reveals Potential 'Ghostbusters 3' Cast Member & More
While most of the updates for the long rumored and gestating sequel Ghostbusters 3 usually consist of the same rigmarole, this particular update adds a nice tidbit of information into the mix. While appearing on The Dennis Miller Show (via ComingSoon), franchise star Dan Aykroyd once again says, "Yes, we will be doing the movie and hopefully with Mr. Murray. That is our hope. We have an excellent script." This time around he also confirms the concept of handing the reigns of the spook hunting team down to some younger blood, but the bonus here is Aykroyd's mention of one actor he's interested in casting.

Watch: Official US Trailer for B&W Silent Cannes Sensation 'The Artist'
The Fame, The Fall! The Weinstein Company has debuted an official trailer for Michel Hazanavicius' The Artist, the B&W silent film that took Cannes by storm, on Apple today. Yes, it's essentially the exact same trailer as the French one we featured during Cannes, but this is the US release and I'm featuring it again because, you know what, I love this movie. I saw it in Cannes, and it wowed me as much as this trailer (here's my review), so I highly suggest seeing this when it hits theaters. Jean Dujardin and the beautiful Bérénice Bejo star as George Valentin and Peppy Miller, with John Goodman and James Cromwell.
Paul Greengrass Attached to Direct Adaptation of 'The Fear Index'?
While we last heard that United 93 helmer Paul Greengrass would be directing the Somali pirate rescue story Maersk Alabama with Tom Hanks in the lead role, but we haven't heard anymore development on that project yet. After all, the director fell away from projects like Rush (now in Ron Howard's hands) and Fox's Frankenstein (now likely going to Shawn Levy), so he may just have lost interest. Now another project has popped up that could be in the filmmaker's future as The Telegraph (via The Playlist) has learned from author Robert Harris that Greengrass is attached to direct an adaptation of his novel The Fear Index.

Worth Watching: Official Trailer for Paddy Considine's 'Tyrannosaur'
"Nobody's safe with me." The other new worth watching trailer is for Paddy Considine's Tyrannosaur, yet another drama about violent human beings, but this one seems to have a bit more emotion to it than the Vincent Cassel one. This premiered at Sundance to mixed reviews (I heard good and bad) but this trailer via In Contention has made me actually want to see this. Tyrannosaur stars Peter Mullan as Joseph, Olivia Colman as Hannah, with Eddie Marsan as well. It's another story about a man with violent tendencies and the relationships he strikes up that make a difference. Give it a shot, even if you've never heard of this.

Worth Watching: 'Our Day Will Come' Trailer Starring Vincent Cassel
Two new worth watching trailers, the first is for a French film called Our Day Will Come, from director Romain Gavras, starring César winning actor Vincent Cassel, who you'll recognize from Black Swan or Eastern Promises or Ocean's Twelve. The drama, described as a "cynical outsider epic" is about two unlikely friends, Patrick (Cassel) and Rémy, played by Olivier Barthelemy, who go on somewhat of a crazy rampage "of hate, violence and self-destruction." This is one weird, intense, chaotic-looking film, but I have to admire the filmmaking and how eerie this trailer is. I'll be damned if that didn't catch my attention. Take a look!

Chevy Chase Has Written a New 'Vacation' & Would Still Play 'Fletch'
Back in October of 2009, we learned that another Vacation film, now without the National Lampoon moniker, was on the way from producer David Dobkin (the director behind Wedding Crashers and The Change-Up). Then last year we learned Horrible Bosses writers Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley would be writing the script which would see Rusty, son to Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo's Clark and Ellen Griswold from the original film, embarking on a new vacation as the father of his own family. However Collider just learned from Chevy Chase that he's written his own new Vacation film.

Dan Eckman to Adapt 'The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep and Never Had To'
If you haven't yet seen Derrick Comedy's hilarious flick Mystery Team, you're missing out on a sorely underrated comedy featuring comedians DC Pierson, Dominic Dierkes and Donald Glover from NBC's "Community." Now the film's director Dan Eckman is working with at least one member of the comedy group again as Collider has learned that the filmmaker will adapt Pierson's coming-of-age novel The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep and Never Had To. Eckman co-write the script with Pierson and Meggie McFadden (who also wrote, produced and starred in Mystery Team) and they're shopping it to studios now.

Shawn Levy to Direct 'Frankenstein' Before 'Fantastic Voyage' Now?
In case you hadn't heard, the forthcoming 3D remake of Fantastic Voyage at 20th Century Fox has hit a bit of a snag because director Shawn Levy is looking to get a big A-list star on board to lead the project, while the studio doesn't necessarily think they need that big of a star on board. Levy has recently set a meeting with Will Smith about the project, but if he doesn't join, and another comparable star can't be found, then Levy will do something else. That seems to be more likely now as Deadline is reporting Levy will instead take on a new adaptation of Frankenstein scripted by Max Landis (son of John Landis) also set up at Fox.
