'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' Returns to IMAX 3D This Weekend
Here we go again. Paramount has announced via THR/Deadline that Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon will be returning to IMAX theaters only for a two-week run starting this weekend, August 26th, through September 8th. These will be IMAX 3D showings of the movie, which was mostly shot in 3D and digitally remastered with IMAX technology. Dark of the Moon, which I admittedly enjoyed, has already earned $350 million at the box office since opening on June 28th this summer, but don't forget it's already over $1 billion worldwide. However that's not enough for Paramount or Bay, as they want to push it higher.

Kate Beckinsale, Sofia Vergara and Milla Jovovich Join 'Danger Girl'?
In what seems like a fanboy's glorious dream, quite a sexy cast might be coming together for an adaptation of the J. Scott Campbell comic book series Danger Girl. Keep in mind that this should only be taken as rumor for the time being, but Latino Review has early word from the tracking boards that Benderspink is currently shopping around the rights to an adaptation of the comic with Kate Beckinsale (Underworld), Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) and Sofia Vergara ("Modern Family") all attached to star in a project described as Kill Bill meets Raiders of the Lost Ark with the ensemble team element of Mission Impossible.

Djimon Hounsou to Play Abdiel the Angel of Death in 'Paradise Lost'
With Bradley Cooper already set to play Lucifer and Benjamin Walker playing the opposing archangel Michael, the adaptation of Paradise Lost from director Alex Proyas and Legendary pictures already has its two leads locked up. However, that doesn't mean another great talent can't come abord the project as well. Variety reports Djimon Housou (Gladiator, Blood Diamond) is set to join the big screen take on the classic 17th century poem by John Milton, which revolves around the epic war in heaven between archangels Lucifer (Cooper) and Michael (Walker), including the latter's role in Adam and Eve's fall from grace.

Watch: The Main Event Featurette for Shawn Levy's 'Real Steel' Arrives
"Get me the main event!" DreamWorks/Disney has unveiled a fantastic featurette for Shawn Levy's Real Steel that takes an inside look at the World Robot Boxing league and the concept, characters, and story behind this action-drama. Real Steel stars Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly, Anthony Mackie and Dakota Goyo as Max, most of whom are featured in this talking about working on the movie. We haven't seen or heard much about this since the official trailer dropped in May, and Jackman's brief Comic-Con appearance, but I'm still excited for this, I think it has the potential to be a very entertaining movie. Enjoy!

Watch: New Trailer for Martin Scorsese's George Harrison HBO Doc
You may think you know every song, every moment, every journey, but there is one story yet to be told. Its been a long-time in the making, and although it's an HBO documentary, this is totally worth featuring anyway. Yahoo (via The Playlist) has posted an official full-length trailer for Martin Scorsese's doc George Harrison: Living in the Material World, about the legendary musician, singer-songwriter, actor and producer most well known as the guitarist for the Beatles. This looks like a truly definitive documentary only Scorsese could deliver. If you're a fan of The Beatles or George Harrison, you definitely need to take a look.

Johnny Knoxville & Patton Oswalt Pitch a Tent for Camping Comedy
His film The Catechism Cataclysm debuted at the Sundance Film Festival at the beginning of the year (unfortunately we missed it), but now director Todd Rohal is ready to begin production on yet another new comedy this week. Deadline has word that Rohal will be at the helm of an untitled comedy, which he also wrote himself under the title Scout Master, which will pair Johnny Knoxville and Patton Oswalt on the big screen for the first time. The duo will play battling brothers who attempt to honor their ailing father by taking a troop of boys on a camping trip. Of course, everything goes wrong and hilarity ensues.

Wachowskis/Tykwer's 'Cloud Atlas' Shoots in Fall on a Modest Budget
One of my most highly anticipated projects in the works is Cloud Atlas, the ambitious adaptation of David Mitchell's novel, being co-directed by the Wachowski siblings and German filmmaker Tom Tykwer. I'm excited because it's such an extensive and ambitious project that will hopefully get the Wachowskis back to their Matrix roots, and we've heard crazy things about it being six intertwining century-spanning stories with the same actors playing characters in each one. THR has posted an update on the production, which officially begins shooting next month at Germany's Studio Babelsberg, also confirming info on the budget.

Video Blog on Disney's D23 Presentation for 'Avengers', 'Brave' & More
Over the weekend I made the trip down to Anaheim to attend Disney's D23 Expo, which as a convention has numerous problems of its own, but the main focus was on their big presentation on Saturday morning. Instead of going to Comic-Con this year, Disney decided to host their own 3-hour preview at D23 providing early glimpses of footage from most of their upcoming movies, and brief celebrity appearances. We weren't allowed to even bring in our cell phone during the panel at all, so I met up afterwards with my friends Peter and Germain from SlashFilm to talk about our thoughts on all the various movies they previewed there.

Atom Egoyan to Direct 'Devil's Knot' Film About The West Memphis 3
If you haven't been keeping up with the real world news headlines lately, you may have not heard that the murder defendants known as the West Memphis 3 were released from prison after 18 years. The three men were imprisoned for the murder of three 8-year old boys who were found hog-tied in a drainage ditch. However, new DNA evidence seemed to prove the trio's innocence, this resulting in their release from prison. Now Deadline says a a feature film adaptation of the story is already on the way with a screenplay already complete and Chloe director Atom Egoyan slated to start production on the film next spring.

Jason Segel Appearance Confirmed for Judd Apatow's 'This is Forty'
Apparently some set photos from the Knocked Up spin-off starring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann have been circling online showing Jason Segel, another cast member from the 2007 comedy, on the set at some point. However, we now have more official confirmation that Segel will actually appear in the film as Megan Fox has posted a photo on her Facebook page (via Collider) featuring the two stars along with Bridesmaids actor Chris O'Dowd in a pool. Tentatively titled This is Forty, the new comedy isn't exactly a sequel to Knocked Up as it follows Rudd and Mann's married characters as they come to terms with life over the hill.

Two Eerie New Trailers & Posters for 'Martha Marcy May Marlene' Hit
"Martha... What happened to you?!" Since everyone is having trouble remembering the full title of Sean Durkin's Martha Marcy May Marlene, Fox Searchlight needs creative marketing to keep it on people's minds. Today they've launched via Twitter two new trailers accessible through QR codes (watch below) for the cult indie thriller that took Sundance by storm, starring Elizabeth Olsen and John Hawkes. The first official teaser trailer was unveiled in May, but these new trailers are shorter and so much better. EW.com also posted the two official QR code posters, that I've added the very bottom as well. You need to see these!

Meet the new and improved Mike and Sulley! Or rather, the younger Mike and Sulley, college-aged buddies attending Monsters University in the prequel to Pixar's Monsters Inc from 2001.
