Must Watch: First Trailer for Clint Eastwood's 'J. Edgar' with DiCaprio
"When morals decline, and good men do nothing, evil flourishes." Warner Bros has finally debuted an amazing official trailer for Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar, his exploration into the life of FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, as played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the film. This first aired on Entertainment Tonight, but was also posted in HD on Apple. In addition to DiCaprio, J. Edgar stars Naomi Watts as Helen Gandy, Josh Lucas as Charles Lindbergh and up-and-comer Armie Hammer as Clyde Tolson. This looks just phenomenal, I mean wow, definitely big Best Picture potential for sure. "We must never forget our history."

Teaser Trailer for Andrea Arnold's Adaptation of 'Wuthering Heights'
The director's 2009 film Fish Tank found great success on the film festival circuit and was even added to the prestigious Criterion Collection when it was released on DVD. Now director Andrea Arnold is back with an adaptation of Emily Brontë classic novel Wuthering Heights which hit the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival last week (make sure you check out Alex's coverage right here) and we have the teaser trailer for the drama which has received mixed reviews from up North. The visuals look rather stunning, but it's somewhat strange to see a film shot in Academy Ratio (1.37:1). Check out the teaser trailer below!

Liam Hemsworth Signing Up for Action in 'The Expendables' Sequel
Thus far, expected to return to the Sly Stallone testosterone-o-rama known as The Expendables 2 are Terry Crews, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, as well as Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger who will reprise their cameos from the first film with a somewhat larger presence. It wouldn't be an '80s/'90s action packed reunion without Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris, who will also be crushing skulls for the first time in TE2. But the latest to join the cast of the sequel is up-and-comer Liam Hemsworth, making him the young newbie in an ensemble of otherwise old-timers.

Alamo Drafthouse is Opening a Theater Located in Littleton, Colorado
Big news revealed today by the Alamo Drafthouse, run by (new father) Tim League. They have announced a new location opening in the state of Colorado, at the Aspen Grove Shopping Center [Google maps] in Littleton, Colorado, coming late 2012. This is a bit of surprising news, as die-hard Drafthouse fans not in Austin, TX (where they're primarily based) have been holding their breath for theaters in Los Angeles and New York, neither of which have been announced/confirmed. "We've found an area for a natural extension of our concept, which began in Austin, to a like-minded audience of serious movie and beer lovers." Huzzah!

R.I.P. - 'Happy Gilmore' Actress Frances Bay Passes Away at Age 92
Even though Ben Stiller put her through hell in one of the worst nursing homes on film, actress Frances Bay and her sweetness prevailed as the charming grandmother in Happy Gilmore starring Adam Sandler. However, we're sad to hear from The Huffington Post that the veteran actress of film and TV passed away last week at age 92 after being diagnosed with pneumonia in a Los Angeles area hospital. Bay started her acting career in the 1930's on the radio before WWII, but it wouldn't be until the 1970's that she would return to acting in various roles on "Happy Days" as well as "The Dukes of Hazaard." Read on.

Check This Out: Vin Diesel in 'The Final Stand of Riddick' Concept Art
This new concept art may be a bit spoilery, but it doesn't matter because it's some cool concept art to keep hyping up one movie I'm incredibly excited about - Vin Diesel's new Riddick 3, which we now know will be R-rated. Diesel took to Facebook again to reveal another piece of concept art, which he's been doing for a while now as we've seen quite a few pieces over the year. This one is titled "The Final Stand of Riddick" and has him fighting what seem to be the big bad villain creatures he'll be up against in this movie. It's also awesome that this takes place entirely on one planet again, just like in Pitch Black. Check out the art below!

See a Screening of a Rare, Uncut Version of 'The Shining' in New York
Back when The Shining first premiered, the standard for theatrical distribution only allowed for the film to be in a limited amount of theaters rather than the nationwide releases that are common today. This allowed director Stanley Kubrick to play around with his cut of the classic horror film shortly after it began screening in various theaters. While Kubrick had previously cut a whopping 19 minutes from 2001: A Space Odyssey before it premiered, with The Shining, he only opted to cut about four minutes from the film. Now a rare version of the film with that footage can be seen in New York next month. Details below!

Watch: Awesome, But Fairly Short, New Red Band 'The Thing' Trailer
"Not all of us are human." A new red band trailer has just been unveiled on IGN for Universal's The Thing prequel, directed by Matthijs van Heijningen, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton. Similar to the TV spot we just posted last week, this features a glimpse at some of the creature effects and crazy human takeovers, including some gory stuff they haven't shown before. Alas, it's such a short trailer, only clocking in at just over a minute, so I guess that means they're still saving the good stuff for the actual film. Or so we can only hope. Despite some rather rough CG work, I still think this looks pretty damn good.

Official Trailer for Bare-Knuckle Fighting Documentary 'Knuckle' Hits
"We will fight because we are men!" Are you ready for this?! Yahoo (via SlashFilm) recently debuted the official trailer for a documentary called Knuckle, directed by Ian Palmer, about an epic 12-year journey into the brutal and secretive world of Irish Traveler bare-knuckle fighting. This could honestly be described as the real-life, brutal, bloody version of Snatch, which they even play up somewhat in this trailer. Its been receiving some solid praise already, so give it a shot, as long as you can handle violence. This is also the film, and the guy, that Tim League is fighting at Fantastic Fest later this week in a live boxing match - he's crazy!

Exclusive: New TV Spot for Sean Durkin's 'Martha Marcy May Marlene'
"Do you ever have that feeling where you can't tell if something is a memory or if it's something you dreamed?" We are proud to exclusively debut a brand new TV spot for Sean Durkin's Martha Marcy May Marlene, being released by Fox Searchlight in theaters this fall. The film stars Elizabeth Olsen, who has been receiving immense praise and awards acclaim for her "star-making" performance in this indie drama. The TV spot and all the trailers for this have all been so perfectly mysterious and creepy, with a great use of score and dialogue, this should be getting many of you interested. We've got the TV spot below, check it out!

Watch: Terrence Malick & Christian Bale Attempt to Film at ACL Show
The plot thickens. Over the weekend, we wrote about news that Terrence Malick has been spotted at the Austin City Limits festival this weekend, filming Christian Bale at various concerts from Coldplay to Bright Eyes. Originally, some early photos started showing up, but now an actual video has hit the web via The Film Stage, first posted on Twitter, where it has since been pulled (we've put up another version below). This amateur video features Malick actually filming Bale and directing him, which is amazing to see, for this still unknown and untitled film, which might not be that Jerry Lee Lewis film. See the master at work below!

Check This Out: Bold UK Quad Poster for Mexican Thriller 'Miss Bala'
"Explosive, Riveting...", "A Blistering Firecracker" indeed! A brand new, grungy yellow colored UK quad poster has debuted online for Gerardo Naranjo's Miss Bala, the Mexican thriller that earned rave reviews in Cannes and played at the Toronto Film Fest this last week. We also just featured the first official trailer for this film a few weeks ago, which is supposedly getting a US release in January, but we still don't know details. Seen on the poster besides the bullets is Stephanie Sigman as Laura Guerrero, a beauty queen wannabe who gets caught in the Mexican drug wars. One of my favorite indie gems of the year, check it out!
