Check This Out: Risque International Poster for Jonah Hill's 'The Sitter'

The Sitter Poster

Cover your eyes! A Dutch poster for Fox's upcoming comedy The Sitter, starring Jonah Hill, has popped up on IMPAwards that features some rather risque, strip club imagery, via the age old between-the-legs shot. In there is Jonah Hill, covering the eyes of the three kids he's supposed to be babysitting - but how did they end up there? We've seen the awesome red band trailer for this Adventures in Babysitting 2011 upgrade, and marketing kicked off with a phone # to call Jonah Hill to babysit, but check this out because you're going to like it. Also, it may be slightly NSFW, so proceed at your own risk. Worst. Babysitter. Ever.

Indie Trailer Sunday: Takeshi Kitano's Badass 'Outrage' Full US Trailer

Outrage Trailer

One wrong movie and its all out war. Today's indie/foreign trailer is for a kick ass Japanese film called Outrage, directed by and starring Takeshi "Beat" Kitano, that actually premiered a few years ago in Cannes. Magnet recently released the official US trailer for the film, with subtitles, which is worth checking out. In a ruthless battle for power, several yakuza clans vie for the favor of their head family in the Japanese underworld. I saw this at Cannes originally and thought it was quite awesome. We originally featured the Japanese trailer back in 2010, but this is the latest one, and it reminds me how great of a film this is. Enjoy!

Terrific Artistic Poster for Fincher's 'Dragon Tattoo' with Daniel Craig

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Evil shall with evil be expelled. This has been quite a week for early buzz on David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, starting with one of the most talked about 8-minute trailers of the year that everyone loved, that Muppets parody trailer, and plenty of updates on the viral Tumblr blog mouth-taped-shut.com. One of the other updates on that blog that I just have to share here is a new poster, created by graphic artist Neil Kellerhouse (who also created the first nude poster for this), that merges the faces of Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist and Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander in a fantastically unique design. See it below!

Is Terrence Malick Already Filming Christian Bale in His Next Project?

On Stage Cameras

So there's something very interesting going on. While cameras are still rolling on Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, lead actor Christian Bale may already be working on one of his other upcoming projects. It was revealed back in August that Bale was up for the lead role in another new Terrence Malick project, to follow his romance with Ben Affleck that's already finished. On Friday this week, Bale was spotted attending shows at the Austin City Limits music festival - with both a full camera crew and Malick himself in tow. Photos, like the one seen above, were taken confirming the two are working together. But what's going on?

Sound Off: Nicolas Winding Refn's Film 'Drive' - What Did You Think?

Ryan Gosling in Drive

Now that you've seen it, what did you think? It's finally hitting theaters, the final film that I saw at the Cannes Film Festival that I absolutely loved, one that I've been waiting for everyone else to finally see, as it's one of my all-time faves. In theaters everywhere this weekend is Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive, starring Ryan Gosling as a stunt/getaway driver, with a stellar supporting cast including Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Albert Brooks, Oscar Isaac, Christina Hendricks and Ron Perlman. So is this as great as everyone is saying? How is Gosling? If you've already seen it, leave a comment and tell us what you thought of Drive!

Toronto Review: Lynn Shelton's Amusing Comedy 'Your Sister's Sister'

Your Sister's Sister Review

In the indie world, films often rely on character dynamic alone to tell a good story, and it doesn't always work. But with Lynn Shelton's Your Sister's Sister, her follow-up to mumblecore comedy Humpday, the chemistry and performances are so damn good it makes the film even better. Starring Emily Blunt and Rosemarie DeWitt as sisters, and Mark Duplass as the one man in the mix, the film explores a unique relationship dynamic, a sort of unconventional mixup of love and sex that provides plenty of humor, but also has heart. It's sweet, amusing, and most importantly enjoyable to watch, one of my late fest favorites.

Haunting Teaser Trailer for Spanish Horror Prequel '[REC] 3 Genesis'

[REC] 3 Genesis

Most horror fans will agree that the 2007 Spanish horror film [REC] is far superior to its American remake Quarantine, and the same can be said for the film's sequel aptly titled [REC] 2. Now those who enjoyed the first two installments are likely eagerly anticipating the prequel [REC] 3 Genesis, and the planned sequel [REC] Apocalypse. Now we have the first teaser trailer for the prequel, and it's pretty damn cool. Using a photo slideshow from a wedding that ends up turning into a bloody disaster, we see how this film will explore the origins of the origins of the mutant virus that has infected people. See the trailer below!

Here's 'Puss in Boots' and the Gang Looking Heroic on a New Poster

Puss in Boots

In case you hadn't heard, Puss in Boots is The Most Interesting Cat in the World. Despite being merely a supporting player in the Shrek franchise, now the sword-wielding cat is in his own feature, as we've seen in the teaser trailer and full-length theatrical trailer. We recently featured a cool motion poster for the film, but now we have a poster that sits still (just like all cats are supposed to) which has our hero cat Puss in Boots, his female accomplice Kitty Softpaws (Selma Hayek), Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis) and frumpy Jack and Jill (Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris) looking pretty heroic. See the poster below!

Watch: '100 Greatest Shut Ups In Film' Will Not Stifle Your Laughter

100 Greatest Shut Ups on Film - Billy Madison

We've featured plenty of fantastic montages and compilation videos that chronicle everything from nearly every instance of the Wilhelm screen on film, to a brief history of opening credit sequences. While some show true editing talent, others are just a basic collection of great clips from a bunch of different films. And that brings us to the 100 Greatest Shut Ups in FIlms with characters, creatively, and mostly vulgarly, telling everyone to "Shut up." However, with this video featuring scenes from The Departed and other R-rated film, there's plenty of salty language that pretty much makes this NSFW. Watch the video below!

Review: 'Straw Dogs' Only Offers the White Noise of Empty Violence

Straw Dogs Review

How many times must it be said that a remake isn't necessarily a bad thing. If the writer or director has something interesting to say through a story that's been told before or if they find an interesting way to convey the same themes that have already been spelled out before, a remake can be a beneficial thing. Of course, there are times where the themes are misunderstood, or, at the very least, retold with a different attitude in mind that takes out all subtlety and nuance. That's when the subtext is lost, but, even still, you could have an exciting film on your hands. Rod Lurie's new take on Straw Dogs can't even get that right.
