Check Out Two More Official Set Photos from Burton's 'Dark Shadows'

Dark Shadows

Just last week we got our first official look at the entire cast in full wardrobe for the big screen adaptation of Dark Shadows, the 1960's gothic daytime serial with vampires, ghosts, ghouls, zombies, werewolves, parallel universes and time-paradoxes. Tim Burton is at the helm of the film that seems to call back to "The Munsters" and "The Addams Family" and in a couple new official photos from the set (via Empire), we see the director hard at work with the cast, including a creepy, bloody-handed Johnny Depp. Also, in what may or may not be good news, this film will not be shot or converted into 3D. See the new photos below!

Could 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' Possibly Become a Spy Franchise?

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy

Though the film won't hit American theaters until December 9th, the new spy thriller Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy has already opened in the UK at the top of the box office last weekend. Considering the early success of the film, it sounds like there's a chance the adaptation of John Le Carré's classic novel might kick-off a new spy franchise. It wouldn't be all that surprising considering there are plenty of other books featuring central character George Smiley, brought to life in Tomas Alfredson's adaptation by Gary Oldman, and it sounds like the actor is certainly up for more films, but with a couple provisos. Centering on an island where vacationers become terrorized by a quickly spreading zombie outbreak, the film hopes to capitalize on the hype surrounding the teaser trailer for the game from last year. Casting: Eric Bana is 'Brilliant' & Rodigo Santoro Takes 'The Last Stand'

Eric Bana / Rodrigo Santoro

A couple quick casting updates coming at you right now with Variety first reporting that Eric Bana (Munich, The Time Traveler's Wife) will team with director Robert Luketic (Killers, 21) for a heist movie called Brilliant. Gillian Gorfil (a producer on Blood Diamond) is making her feature film writing debut with this story about a small-time criminal who joins accomplished thieves in a diamond heist. Thankfully, Luketic fares better with material like this rather than his romantic comedy endeavors like The Ugly Truth or Monster-in-Law. Details on casting in Arnold Schwarzenegger's action thriller The Last Stand below!

Wonderful First Full Poster for Steven Spielberg's 'War Horse' Revealed

War Horse

Separated by War. Tested by Battle. Bound by Friendship. Time to take a look at the first wonderful poster for this year's potential Best Picture winner. Our friends at Entertainment Weekly have debuted the first full theatrical poster for Steven Spielberg's War Horse, starring Jeremy Irvine and his horse Joey. This design is reminiscent of the book's cover that this is based on, but with Irvine and a much more colorful and epic Spielberg feel to it. While we're already well into the awards season, this is one of my most anticipated left this year, can't wait to see it! This looks like the start of their marketing leading to its Christmas release.

Jessica Chastain Will Join Tom Cruise for Joseph Kosinski's 'Horizons'

Jessica Chastain

Last month we learned Universal had made up a shortlist of actresses to take one of the female lead roles opposite Tom Cruise for their tentpole sci-fi flick Horizons (formerly known as Oblivion) from Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski. At the time Jessica Chastain (Take Shelter), Olivia Wilde (Tron Legacy), Brit Marling (Another Earth), Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) were in the running, but Variety says the first actress on the list, Ms. Chastain, has landed the role, but one of the other actresses could get the other female role as Cruise's wife.

Dare to Watch: Full Trailer for 'The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)'

Human Centipede (Full Sequence)

We've already seen the grotesque poster for the unsettling sequel, tossed up an audio review featuring our own Tim Buel, with Brad McHargue & James Marsh, after the film screened at Fantastic Fest (see all our coverage right here), and let our own Jeremy Kirk's not-so-flattering review speak for itself. Now it's time for you to be the judge as the full length theatrical trailer for The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence), the sequel to Tom Six's grotesque horror film The Human Centipede: First Sequence, has finally made its way online. There's not much to say about this one, except to watch the trailer below at your own risk.

Real Steel

With just under two weeks until the robot boxing film hits theaters on October 7th (be sure to check out the kick-ass trailer and my set visit report), apparently a sequel to DreamWorks and Disney's Real Steel is already planned. While the decision to move forward on the project is certainly being reserved until after the the box office numbers come in, director Shawn Levy told The Playlist that he's definitely going to come back to produce and direct the sequel, and also Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo (who plays the estranged son in the film) and Evangeline Lily are all a big part of the sequel's story. Plenty more details below!

Fantastic Fest Review: Jeff Nichols' 'Take Shelter' with Michael Shannon

Take Shelter Review

Take Shelter is the scariest film of the year. Don't let that statement mislead you, though. While most are being terrified by ghosts or natural occurrences like global epidemics, Take Shelter hits your scare senses two-fold. At first a riveting story about the possible end of the world, it also examines how one person can believe they are losing their mind and the lengths with which they'll go to prove to themselves that they are completely sane. Aided by a best-of-the-year performance from Michael Shannon, Take Shelter grips you from the beginning and slowly jostles in your brain, unnerving you with its imagery and tonal beauty even

'Crazy, Stupid, Love' Directors to Adapt Financial Drama 'Liar's Poker'

John Requa and Glenn Ficarra / Liar's Poker

The author just had the adaptation of his book Moneyball hit the big screen last weekend, but now Michael Lewis may have another one of his works heading to theaters. THR reports that Warner Bros. has tapped the author to adapt his own book Liar's Poker into a feature film for Crazy, Stupid, Love directing duo John Requa and Glenn Ficarra. The story is Lewis' own account as he worked as a bond trader at Salomon Brothers in the "go-go '80s" where he witnessed firsthand how economic decisions made at the national level changed securities markets and made bonds the most lucrative game on Wall Street. 'Red Dawn' Remake Finally Getting Released Courtesy of Film District

Red Dawn

Back in June of 2010, we got word that the financial woes of MGM might cause the gestating remake of Red Dawn to remain shelved indefinitely. Since then we've seen a cool cast photo and rumblings of digital modifications to the film to change the villainous country in the story from China to North Korea, but there's been no talk about when we might actually see the film on the big screen. Now we have an answer as 24 Frames has learned that Film District, the company behind this year's releases Drive and Insidious is finalizing a deal with MGM to allow them to finally distribute the film sometime in 2012. More below!

Justin Timberlake / Neil

Though he's yet to turn in a truly stellar performance, you can't deny that recording artist turned actor Justin Timberlake has shown some decent acting chops with roles in films like Friends with Benefits, Alpha Dog and The Social Network, not to mention a forthcoming turn as an action star for In Time. Now it sounds like a potential milestone in the actor's career is on the way, and it involves him returning to his music roots somewhat. Deadline has word that Timberlake will star in Spinning Gold, a biopic on record producer Neil Bogart, the co-founder of Casablanca Records and pillar of the 70's music scene. Read on!
