Watch: Official Trailer for Real Navy SEALs Action Movie 'Act of Valor'
Courage. Loyalty. Honor. Relativity Media has debuted the first official trailer for Act of Valor, a one-of-a-kind action movie starring active duty Navy SEALs in a real-world (but Hollywood created) manhunt mission to find a kidnapped CIA operative. This is pretty much a full-length glorified Navy recruiting video, but it looks awesome, at least in terms of military action and the SEALs doing what they do best. The cast includes Alex Veadov, Roselyn Sanchez and Nestor Serrano, plus many other SEALs and soldiers. While this is a bit of an unconventional Hollywood movie, I'm planning on seeing this, at least for the action side of it.

'Night at the Museum' Writers & Ben Stiller Reteam for 'Rentaghost'
Towards the end of last year we learned that British comedian Russell Brand was reaching back into British TV from decades past for a new feature film. At the time Warner Bros. set him to star in a big screen adaptation of Rentaghost, the original UK children's comedy series which ran on BBC from 1976-1984. However, apparently Brand decided against the project after Arthur didn't open strong enough at the box office. Now Deadline reports 20th Century Fox has snagged the rights to make the film and set Ben Stiller to lead it with Night at the Museum writers Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant scripting. More Accurate Details on 'Primer' Writer/Director's 'Upstream Color'
It's been seven years since former engineer turned filmmaker Shane Carruth made his debut with Primer, an indie sci-fi centered around four engineers who accidentally discover a method to travel through time. To this day, the film is still one of the most smart and mind-bending time travel tales to be told on screen. It was independent in every sense of the word, made for an estimated $7,000 right here in Carruth's own hometown of Dallas, Texas, and won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival where it premiered. Now Carruth is set to make his long awaited return with something completely new. Read on!

Leonardo DiCaprio as Math Genius Alan Turing in 'Imitation Game'?
The chronicle of mathematician John Nash in A Beautiful Mind dabbled in the codebreaking needed during World War II, but now Warner Bros. has picked up a new spec script with all its focus on a certain codebreaker and math genius. Deadline reports the studio has paid seven-figures for The Imitation Game, a script from first-time screenwriter Graham Moore which follows Alan Turing, an important man of British history said to be the father of computer science as he played a pivotal role in the creation of the modern computer. In addition, apparently Leonardo DiCaprio "has the inside track" to play the lead role.

Jim Carrey Set to Face-Off Against Steve Carell in 'Burt Wonderstone'
There was a bit of a shake-up this past April when the Steve Carell led comedy Burt Wonderstone lost director Charles McDougall. Then June brought news that TV director Don Scardino would sit in the director's chair for the story from the Horrible Bosses writing team of John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein about rival Las Vegas magicians where Carell plays a magic man dethroned by a younger, hipper illusionist and then must find a way to rediscover his love for magic. Now Deadline has word Jim Carrey will be the man opposing Carell in the magic arena, though he was born the same year as "The Office" star.

Scott Cooper Directing 'Emperor's Children' Instead of Noah Baumbach
Over four years ago we heard that Noah Baumbach would script an adaptation of Claire Messud's 2006 novel titled The Emperor's Children for director Ron Howard. However, last year Howard decided he would direct The Dilemma instead (not his best decision) and Baumbach was stepping up to helm the adaptation with Keira Knightley, Richard Gere and Eric Bana attached to star in the story about about Ivy League graduates approaching their 30s with trepidation. Now Twitch has word that Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper will instead be at the helm and a couple more names have now joined the cast. More below!

Watch: Theatrical Trailer for 'Sleeping Beauty' Starring Emily Browning
"You'll feel profoundly restored..." IFC Films has debuted the US theatrical trailer for the "controversial" Australian drama Sleeping Beauty, directed by newcomer Julia Leigh, starring Emily Browning, of Sucker Punch and The Uninvited. Yes, this is that indie where Browning gets nude pretty much the whole time, and participates in some odd sex acts, which really aren't that bad. I saw the film at its Cannes Film Fest premiere and really did not like it, at all. It's all hype and no payoff, a bland artsy drama that doesn't provide much at all. Yahoo has a new trailer but it's mostly a rehash of the original with new quotes. Enjoy!
