Watch: Method Man Stars in Gareth Roberts 'The Mortician' 3D Trailer
Every mystery has a truth waiting to be revealed. Time for a diversion from the usual for something a bit unique. The official trailer for the digital 3D feature film The Mortician has debuted online via YouTube. Starring Method Man as "The Mortician", this indie drama is about a lonely man who gets caught up in some dirty deals with local gangsters. The cast also features Dash Mihok, Edward Furlong, Wendell Pierce, EJ Bonilla, Angelic Zambrana, Judy Marte, Dana Fuchs and Cruz Santiago. This looks like it might be cool to see, despite the odd editing in this trailer; I'd love to catch this at a film fest if I could. Take a look below.

Michael Fassbender & McQueen Reteaming Again for '12 Years a Slave'
Get ready to hear a lot about these two this awards season. British filmmaker Steve McQueen (seen right above), of Hunger and this year's Shame, and actor Michael Fassbender have been working together since 2007 on both films, and will continue that relationship again. Variety is reporting that Fassbender will play a role in McQueen's next film, titled 12 Years a Slave, that's already set to star Chiwetel Ejiofor in the true story of Solomon Northrup, a New Yorker who was kidnapped in Washington and rescued from a cotton plantation in Louisiana in 1853. Javier Bardem is Confirmed as the Villain in Sam Mendes' 'Bond 23'
What's the most you ever lost on a coin toss, Mr. Bond? Though we've mentioned him a couple of times before, Oscar winning actor Javier Bardem is now confirmed and set to play the villain in Sam Mendes' soon to be underway production of Bond 23, that's rumored to be titled Skyfall, which honestly sounds accurate. Bardem himself confirmed the news speaking on Nightline last night, and Entertainment Weekly posts a few of his quotes. "I am very excited. My parents took me to watch the movies and I saw all of them. So to play that is going to be fun," Bardem said. I'm excited to see him as a villain, this should be awesome.

Watch: Official Trailer for Xavier Gens' Apocalypse Thriller 'The Divide'
The lucky ones died in the blast. Holy crap is looks intense! Anchor Bay has finally debuted a full theatrical trailer via Yahoo for Xavier Gens' The Divide, a tense thriller set around a nuclear attack and nine people who survive in a bomb shelter under their apartment. The ensemble cast is lead by Michael Biehn and Milo Ventimiglia, and includes Lauren German, Michael Eklund, Rosanna Arquette and Ashton Holmes. I'm a sucker for these kind of apocalyptic thrillers, especially when they look crazy and stylized and awesome like this does. I really can't wait to see this, this has a Sunshine feel to it, I hope it's that good.

Liberace Biopic with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon Goes to HBO
After being in development for years, it sounds like the long-gestating Liberace biopic from director Steven Soderbergh and starring Michael Douglas as the legendary entertainer and Matt Damon as his lover Scott Thorson is finally moving forward.. In a press release, HBO Films has announced the acquisition of Behind the Candelabra, which will be produced by previous Soderbergh collaborators Jerry Weintraub and Gregory Jacobs as well as Susan Ekins and Richard LaGravenese. That means the film won't be headed to theaters, but HBO Films are consistently just as good as theatrical releases nowadays.

Director Pete Travis & Writer Alex Garland Release 'Dredd' Statement
Just last week, there was word that some drama was happening on the post-production side of Dredd, the new adaptation of the Judge Dredd comic book series. Apparently director Pete Travis (Vantage Point) had been locked out of the editing room due to some significant creative differences with producers and executives, so instead the film's writer Alex Garland was taking over with an eye towards possibly seeking a co-director credit for all the work he's been putting into shaping the film. Well, now both Travis and Garland have released a statement to address the report of trouble on the movie, and you can read it below.

Well I'll be damned, I didn't even know they were shooting yet! Anna Kendrick, Sam Elliott and More Joining 'The Company You Keep'
Honestly, it's hard to believe that the cast of Robert Redford's adaptation of Neil Gordon's novel The Company You Keep could improve with Shia LaBeouf, Susan Sarandon, Julie Christie, Nick Nolte, Stanley Tucci and Chris Cooper already involved. Well, today Variety has word on five more cast members signing on for the film including Anna Kendrick (50/50), Brendan Gleeson (In Bruges), Sam Elliott (Up in the Air), Terrence Howard (Iron Man) and Jackie Evancho, a stellar 11-year old singer who made a name for herself after an amazing performance on the competition TV series "America's Got Talent."

Nora Ephron Taking British Mini-Series 'Lost in Austen' to Big Screen
Despite having films in her past like Lucky Numbers and Bewitched, director Nora Ephron has proven that when she gets a film right, she knocks it out of the park as when she helmed Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail, not to mention writing my favorite romantic comedy of all-time When Harry Met Sally. Now Ephron is venturing into familiar territory, at least in the genre that she's used to working, as Variety reports the filmmaker is attached to direct a big screen adaptation of Lost in Austen, a British mini-series which is essentially a modern, time-traveling take on Jane Austen's classic novel Pride and Prejudice.

Summit Entertainment to Adapt Norway Crime Thriller 'Headhunters'
No matter how much grief cinephiles would like to give Summit Entertainment for subjecting us to the big screen adaptations of The Twilight Saga, you can't deny that the production company has delivered some truly stellar cinema to make-up for it. Films in their past include The Beaver, The Brothers Bloom, The Hurt Locker and most recently 50/50 (simultaneously one of the best comedies and dramas of the year). Now Deadline says the company has picked up the English-language film rights to the Jo Nesbø's best-selling Norwegian crime thriller Headhunters, which was just recently published here in the United States.
