AFF Review: Jack Perez's Horror Comedy 'Some Guy Who Kills People'
You can't have an effective tale of revenge without a nice helping of spilled blood, but who's to say all that bloodletting has to be followed by a grittiness or darkness that brings it into some sense of reality? That's precisely what the people behind Some Guy Who Kills People believe. They've crafted a film whose tongue has been pushed all the way through its cheek, is wagging at its audience, and daring them not to laugh. Here's a hint, though. You will be laughing a good deal. But Some Guy Who Kills isn't laugh/slash/laugh on repeat. The film has a good deal of heart. These three elements, along with an impressive cast

Butler, McConaughey & Worthington Team for CG 'Thunder Run' in 3D
Australian actor Sam Worthington is already used to working in an all-CG, 3D motion picture, and Gerard Butler got a taste of that world with his work on Gamer, and now the two actors will join forced with Matthew McConaughey for the action thriller Thunder Run, based on David Zucchino's book of the same name and yet another project heading to the American Film Market next month. Using the same technology from Avatar, this will be the first conventional war film using facial and motion capture technology along with CG and 3D to bring the action from the frontlines of Baghdad to the big screen.

Sony Wants to Make 'Sex Tape' with Reese Witherspoon & Jason Segel
No, Sony Pictures isn't getting into the business of celebrity pornography yet. However, they are looking to make a new comedy which they picked up for seven figures from Kate Angelo, the writer behind the Jennifer Lopez romantic comedy The Back-Up Plan. While the talent on the page doesn't instill much confidence, Deadline reports Sony wants Jason Segel and Reese Witherspoon will lead the film simply called Sex Tape, the story about a married couple who take a night off from their kids, decide to get adventurous and spice things up by making a private sex tape only to wake up the next morning and find that it's gone.

Watch: Final 'The Muppets' Parody Trailer Hits 'Paranormal' & More
Wait, wait, wait, stop! Is this for real? One more trailer? Amazing. Disney has debuted the final parody trailer via YouTube for The Muppets, starring Kermit the Frog, Jason the Segel, Amy the Adams and Miss Piggy, making this likely the last we'll see before this adventure finally arrives in theaters. This time they riff on Paranormal Activity, Puss in Boots, Happy Feet Two and of course, The Twilight Saga: The Breaking Dawn, but only briefly because it's a recap plus this-is-what-we-wanted-to-do kind of trailer, but it's still as funny and as goofy as the last few. We'll see everyone at the theaters when this hits!

Watch: First Trailer for Upside-Down Thai Crime Noir Film 'Headshot'
"How does it feel to see the world upside down?" There's a trailer for a Thai film called Headshot that you've got to check out, mostly for the concept. Thanks to a tip from Film School Rejects, Headshot is about a hitman who gets shot in the head and wakes up seeing the world upside down. Basically, his vision is flipped, which causes him to have a completely different view on life. It looks good, and FSR's Rob Hunter likens Thai filmmaker Pen-Ek Ratanaruang to Christopher Nolan, but that's quite a bit of a stretch. I definitely do want to see this at some point. Just be warned - this trailer is NSFW as it has some sex/nudity.

Fox Interested in Back-to-Back 'Independence Day' Sequels Yet Again?
It's been fifteen years since most of the world was devastated by an alien attack in Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich's summer blockbuster Independence Day, and the last update from the latter filmmaker was pretty bleak on the potential for a sequel anytime soon. As far back as March of 2010, the idea of back-to-back sequels wasn't out of the question, but apparently star Will Smith wanted quite a lot of money for the sequels. Since then it's been assumed that the sequels were dead, but now it sounds like Fox is willing to make them whether or not Smith actually decides to partake in another close encounter or not.

First Look: Tim Burton's Full-Length 3D Stop-Motion 'Frankenweenie'
Time to meet Sparky, the lovable K9 who gets hit by a car. And then is brought back to life. Entertainment Weekly has posted a first look set of photos for Tim Burton's new stop-motion animated B&W adventure Frankenweenie, full-length feature adaptation of his own short from 1984. Disney gave Burton the reigns to create this feature version before he started work on Dark Shadows, so arriving in theaters next October is this. In this new photo (see above), Sparky doesn't look all Frankenstein yet, but don't worry. "He doesn't have any stitches yet," Burton jokes. "That's only a short part of the film. Don't get too used to that look."

First Look: Sasso, Hayes and Diamantopoulos as 'The Three Stooges'
After that first teaser poster only showed us the silhouettes of Will Sasso, Sean Hayes and Chris Diamantopoulos as Curly, Larry and Moe respectively in the long-gestating big screen version of The Three Stooges from the Farrelly Brothers, we finally have the first official photo of the whole gang with some light shed on them, and it's not too bad. Sasso's iteration of Curly will have to be heard rather than seen to get the full effect, but clearly Diamantopoulos is almost channeling Jim Carrey as he transforms into Moe and Hayes has essentially disappeared into Larry and his scraggly hair. See the first look photo below!

Watch: First Charming Trailer for Dr. Seuss' 'The Lorax' Hits the Web
Discover the Legend of The Lorax. Universal has debuted the first official trailer via Apple for Illumination Entertainment's animated take on Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, voiced by Danny DeVito. It's a full-on trailer that first introduces us to Ted, voiced by Zac Efron, the kid who meets and gets mixed up with The Lorax, the fuzzy orange colored guy protecting his forest. The rest of the voice cast includes Ed Helms, Taylor Swift, Betty White, and Rob Riggle, too. This looks like lots more animated fun from Illumination, the studio that brought us Despicable Me and Hop before this. And good choice on The Polyphonic Spree, too!

Watch: Official Trailer for Action Film 'Elite Squad: The Enemy Within'
His true enemies lie within. An official US trailer has debuted for the Brazilian action film Elite Squad: The Enemy Within, the sequel to the 2007 film Elite Squad. This action-thriller has been receiving rave reviews all over and is indeed the highest grossing film in Brazil, which is pretty damn cool. The action in this looks insane and I've heard nothing but praise from everyone who has seen it at places like Fantastic Fest, Sundance and all over. The Enemy Within is directed by Jose Padilha, who's now setup in Hollywood working on the RoboCop remake. It's a kick ass trailer that will totally leave you excited to see this. Enjoy!
