Farrelly Brothers' Next Project Looks to Be a 'Dumb & Dumber' Sequel

Dumb & Dumber

Twice in the past year, 17 years after Dumb & Dumber hit theaters, there have been rumblings from all the right sources that a sequel to the 1994 comedy starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels might be on the way. The former actor, who hasn't enjoyed the glory of his comedy heyday in years, revealed in June that he might revisit Lloyd Christmas and director Bobby Farrelly, the other half of the sibling duo alongside Peter Farrelly, also said they were thinking about what Harry and Lloyd would be up to 20 years after the original film. Now Deadline has news on some writers for the sequel that might be the Farrellys' next film.

Martin Scorsese / The Snowman

With an unexpected children's tale coming from the director in the form of Hugo hitting theaters on November 23rd, it'll be nice to have Martin Scorsese getting back to some gritty drama again. Paul Walker to Lead American Remake of Pierre Morel's 'District B13'

Paul Walker

Though American audiences know director Pierre Morel for making Liam Neeson a certified bad-ass again in Taken, before that, the French filmmaker worked in his homeland for the Paris-set action thriller Banlieue 13 (or rather District B13 here in the United States). Now Morel will see his film in a new way as Deadline reports Paul Walker is in talks to star in Brick Mansions, an American remake of the aforementioned French film which features some of the most stunning and acrobatic actions sequences that have graced the big screen in a long time. Thankfully some of the original talent is returning for the remake.

Karl Urban & Ben Barnes Join the Cast of Antonio Negret's 'Overdrive'

Karl Urban / Ben Barnes

It's THR  with the casting scoop on Karl Urban (Star Trek) and Ben Barnes (Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) joining the cast of Overdrive, from director Antonio Negret (the upcoming Transit starring Jim Caviezel) and writers Derek Haas and Michael Brandt (2 Fast 2 Furious, Wanted). With those writers and the same director uniting, a testosterone-filled torque-fueled film about two high profile car thieves who run into trouble with a crime boss in France seems all too appropriate. Urban and Barnes will play the siblings, and apparently beat out Alex Pettyfer, Matthew Goode and Garrett Hedlund for the roles.

'Grace of Monaco' Gives Grace Kelly A Story Like 'The King's Speech'

Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier

Since the Colin Firth led film hit a sweet spot with audiences and and Hollywood alike with Academy Award wins for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor, it's not surprising that a film in that same vein but with the help of old Hollywood royalty is on the way. THR has word that Europacorp co-founder Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, via his Stone Angel banner, has picked up a script for a film called Grace of Monaco, a story that follows Grace Kelly during a period in 1962 when the city-state of Monaco entered a heated dispute with France, which had grown tired of the principality being a tax haven.

Another Eerie New Poster for 'We Need to Talk About Kevin' Arrives

We Need to Talk About Kevin

Mommy's little monster. The imagery, and specifically posters, released for Lynne Ramsay's unsettling, dark, eerie, chilling new film We Need to Talk About Kevin have all been very creepy, in a twisted sort of visual way, but that's why I love them. There was that Rosemary's Baby-esque one, and the stylized but creepy UK one, along with some others. HitFix has just debuted the latest poster and it's definitely got an eerie touch to it as well, but that's the exact atmosphere and feeling of the film captured. We're still waiting to see the official US trailer, in the meantime here's another creepy Tilda Swinton look. See it in full below.

Watch: Tom Cruise Does His Own Stunts in 'Ghost Protocol' Featurette

Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

"Just another day at work on Mission Impossible." Paramount has released a high def featurette for Brad Bird's Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol giving us a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the incredible Burj Khalifa scene. As we've all heard, Tom Cruise does his own stunts, and this time we actually get to see that as he gets rigged up and flies across/up/down/all over the sides of the world's tallest building. I'm getting nervous just watching this. Crazy! You can also see all the big IMAX cameras they shot this scene with. This is an awesome behind-the-scenes featurette and great way to build even more excitement. Enjoy!

"I'm either going home or home." An official trailer has been revealed via Apple for one of the most praised and talked-about documentaries to hit the fall festival circuit - Werner Herzog's Into the Abyss. This time Herzog heads down to Texas to look at the death penalty and panel system, following two convicts involved in a homicide, providing viewers with a "gaze into the abyss of the human soul." The film has quite a bit of buzz thanks to rave reviews like this on The Film Stage: "Herzog remains a master, providing us humanity, which is far more complex – and troubling than the facts." This looks very good, highly recommend viewing.

Brad Bird Reveals Why A Sequel to 'The Incredibles' Hasn't Happened

The Incredibles

It's been almost seven years now since Pixar released their animated superhero adventure The Incredibles, and since then, fans of the heroes, including myself, have been clamoring for a sequel to the film that had a fun open-ended conclusion with the superhero family meeting John Ratzenberger as The Underminer. While that likely wouldn't lead directly into a sequel, there's been a lot of buzz surrounding Brad Bird and his 2004 film, mainly because films like Monsters Inc. have sequels on the way while The Incredibles remains dormant. The director recently spoke to Movies.com and explained why that's the case.
