Second Full US Trailer for Steve McQueen's 'Shame' with Fassbender
"New York, New York. If I can make it there..." Fox Searchlight recently unveiled via Apple a fantastic new trailer for Steve McQueen's NC-17 drama Shame, starring the incredibly talented Michael Fassbender, who was recently named GQ's Breakout Man of the Year. If you still need any convincing to see Shame, this may finally be the trailer that'll put you over the edge, as it's set entirely to Carey Mulligan's haunting but beautiful lounge rendition of Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York." This is still one of my favorite films of the year and I can't speak for it enough, it's truly an exquisite, brilliant character study. Take a peek below!

Sleek New Character Banners for Marvel's 'The Avengers' Assembled!
Avengers Assemble! Marvel has debuted the first banner, which looks much more like a billboard, for The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon. On this banner, debuted by Yahoo (via ComingSoon), we get to see Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner (with a tinge of green), Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man and last but not least, Chris Hemsworth as Thor. These are new shots from each of them, and I expect we'll see individual posters soon (along with the other missing members), but for now this is an awesome banner to kick off their winter marketing, and I'm excited to see more. Bring it on!

Now Benning is giving the same "filmumentary" treatment to Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first installment in Spielberg's Indiana Jones franchise. Now we have the first 17-minutes of the aptly titled Raiding the Lost Ark to check out below!

Sharon Stone Set to Play Linda Lovelace's Mother in 'Lovelace' Biopic
While the Malin Akerman led film Inferno seems to be stuck in development hell, Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard recently replaced Kate Hudson and James Franco in Lovelace, another biopic about infamous porn star Linda Lovelace. Now according to The Associated Press reports that Sharon Stone will play Lovelace's mother in the film that will chronicle Lovelace's place in adult film history as the star of Deep Throat, one of the highest-grossing independent films of all-time which just happened to become the most well known porn film that also served as a gateway to years of victimization in the adult film industry.

Watch: James Cameron Discusses 3D in 'Hugo' with Martin Scorsese
"Your film is about the magic of cinema, and the movie is magical to watch." Great quote. THR has posted an entertaining new video featuring two legendary filmmakers, James Cameron and Martin Scorsese, together talking about using 3D in Scorsese's new film Hugo, out in theaters this Thanksgiving. The video is a two-minute follow-up to a full-on Q&A that Scorsese & Cameron recently gave for the film at a screening in Hollywood. There's a full transcript of questions on THR, but the video features some of the better quotes from the two. This is Scorsese's first foray into 3D, but it looks like he has even impressed Cameron. Enjoy!

Universal and Illumination Developing a 'Woody Woodpecker' Movie
Universal and Illumination Entertainment have a good collaborative relationship going with their success of Despicable Me and the forthcoming adaptation of The Lorax, which looks rather charming. Now the two are teaming up again to bring another iconic character to the big screen as Heat Vision reports they're developing a feature film adaptation of Woody Woodpecker. The character first showed up in animated shorts in 1940 with the now iconic voice of Mel Blanc (Bugs Bunny and many more Looney Tunes) bringing him to life, and his rambunctious, obnoxious personality carried him right onto television in the late 50's.

Amy Adams May Have 'Trouble with the Curve' with Clint Eastwood?
Though last month brought news that The Blind Side actress Sandra Bullock might be venturing into the world of baseball alongside Clint Eastwood for the drama Trouble with the Curve, it looks like her schedule is full. Now Variety reports it will be the lovely Amy Adams who will take the lead female wrong in the story of an aging baseball scout (Eastwood) who's losing his sight and decides to take a road trip to Atlanta with his daughter to check out a hot prospect. However, it's important to note that Adams has merely been offered the role, and since her schedule is apparently also pretty cluttered, it may not happen.

Watch: Trailer for the Comprehensive 'Woody Allen: A Documentary'
There's no doubt that comedian and filmmaker Woody Allen is always busy. Whether there's a New York Knicks game on or he's crafting a new film as he's done every single year for the past 29 years straight (not to mention ten films he directed before that), Allen, who will turn 76 years old next month, is really making the most out of his life and film career. Now director Robert Weide attempts to capture that essence in Woody Allen: A Documentary, a comprehensive two-part film airing on PBS later this month, and now we have a trailer for the Brett Ratner produced film which looks like a must-see. See the trailer below!
Lionsgate Aiming for Simon Beaufoy to Write 'Hunger Games' Sequel
May the odds be ever in Lionsgate's favor... Yep, the first sequel is already in the works. While Gary Ross finishes up the last few months of post-production on The Hunger Games (watch the trailer) due out next March, Deadline is reporting that Lionsgate is "courting" writer Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours) to work on the script for the sequel, Catching Fire. Ross is returning and wanted to work on the script with author Suzanne Collins, behind the book series this is based on, but of course is completely out of time and they want to get this sequel setup and ready as soon as the first one is being released.
