Exclusive New TV Spot for 'The Descendants' - In Limited Theaters
"This is him? Why would she go for him?" Fox Searchlight has given us a new TV spot for Alexander Payne's The Descendants to debut. The film stars George Clooney as Matt King, a Hawaiian land owner who attempts to bring together his two daughters, played by Shailene Woodley and Amara Miller, when his wife ends up in a coma. Oh and Matthew Lillard is in it, too. Its been getting fantastic reviews all around, like these two recently (and here's my review), and this is our chance to remind you that it's hitting theaters tomorrow (in NY and LA, plus more expansion starting Friday and Nov. 25th). Check out the TV spot below!
Watch: First Silly Trailer for Tarsem's Snow White Film 'Mirror Mirror'
"I definitely have a happily ever after thing going on!" No she doesn't. Relativity let loose the first official trailer for Tarsem's Mirror Mirror, his "sickeningly kiddie" take on Snow White, and you need to see it just to see how bad it is. In this one, Lily Collins stars as Snow White, Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen, and Armie Hammer as the Prince, but it looks as far in the opposite direction of Huntsman as anything could be. It seems like an animated movie come to life, complete with Nathan Lane and silly dwarfs. Even Julia Roberts looks like she's phoning it in, enough to make me want to stay far, far away from this. Enjoy!

Bill Nighy Cast as a Demon Villain in Stuart Beattie's 'I, Frankenstein'
I'm always up for more Bill Nighy villains. Variety reports that Nighy has been cast in the comic book adaptation of I, Frankenstein being directed by Stuart Beattie, of Tomorrow When the War Began, is directing and wrote the script based on a comic by Kevin Grevioux, co-creator of the Underworld franchise. Aaron Eckhart is already set to star as Adam, Frankenstein's monster controlling his anger turned private investigator. Nighy will play a "demon prince" villain, but isn't the only one joining today, as Socratis Otto (from "Home and Away") will play the henchman tasked with tracking down and capturing Adam. Read on!

Anne Fletcher Wants Bradley Cooper for a 'Fight Before Christmas'
After bringing together Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock for the successful, but still formulaic romantic comedy The Proposal, director Anne Fletcher is looking at another familiar heartthrob for a new holiday family comedy called The Fight Before Christmas. The filmmaker just recently became attached to the film from Shawn Levy's 21 Laps production banner, and now casting is really taking off with an offer out to Bradley Cooper to take the lead male role in the film. At this point the logline for the story is being kept under tight wraps, but I'm guessing a family starts having some big issues before December 25th arrives.

Steven Spielberg is in Talks to Part the Red Sea for 'Gods and Kings'?
Not long ago, there were rumblings that Warner Bros. wanted Steven Spielberg to sit in the director's chair for their Moses-centric epic Gods and Kings, but with so many projects on his plate, from Lincoln coming up next to Robopocalypse sometime after, it didn't seem like a real possibility. Well, now it sounds like there's a better chance of it happening now as Twitch has learned that the studio and Spielberg are now in formal talks for the man who has The Adventures of Tintin and War Horse hitting theaters next month, to take on this project of Biblical proportions. A Spielberg epic sounds like just what the doctor ordered.

Check This Out: Poster for James Cameron's 'Titanic' in 3D Revealed
"Rose!" "Jack!" "Why are we in 3D?" To experience it like never before. Paramount has unveiled the official poster (via Facebook) for James Cameron's Titanic 3D re-release that's hitting theaters next April timed with the 100 year anniversary of the voyage/sinking of the RMS Titanic. We were shown about 20 minutes of footage a few weeks ago to demo the 3D conversion and I was impressed, but more interested in seeing the film back on the big screen than necessarily in 3D. That said, of course they need a new poster to hype up the re-release, and there's a trailer soon (watch it here!) as well. See Jack and Rose together again below!

Brad Pitt Takes a Few Steps Back from Three Year Retirement Plan
Yesterday, a bit of shocking news came straight form the horse's mouth as actor Brad Pitt mentioned in an interview that he was looking at retirement in three years when he turns 50-years old. Of course, the story made it all over the internet, and now in a small bit of damage control, Pitt retracts his previous statement a bit telling THR, "I wasn't putting an exact deadline on my expiration date (as an actor) but I just see it coming and I do have an interest in the producing side." The actor who has produced films such as The Departed and his own Moneyball mentioned this yesterday too, so maybe he'll just be acting a little less.

Tim Burton Heading to 'Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children'
Earlier this year, it was reported that Fox had picked up the rights to adapt Ransom Riggs' novel Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children into a feature film. The story follows a 16-year-old boy named Jacob, who stumbles upon a home for children with strange powers on a remote island off the coast of Wales, and now the darker tale just might have a fitting director to take on the material. Deadline reports Tim Burton is in early talks to develop the book as a potential directing gig. In addition, the Alice in Wonderland and Sweeney Todd director would also be involved in choosing a writer to adapt the story.

First Look: Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Garner & Hugh Jackman in 'Butter'
Over a year ago we got a brief look at the satirical comedy Butter, a film which Alex enjoyed at Telluride, about a young orphan girl who, after being adopted by a Midwestern family, discovers that she has an incredible talent for butter-carving. Young actress Yara Shahidi plays the orphan who finds herself against the ambitious wife (Jennifer Garner) of the retired reigning champion (Ty Burrell) in a town's annual butter-sculpting contest. Hugh Jackman and Olivia Wilde also star in the film, and now the first photos from the film reveal their small town characters looking very rural indeed. See the batch of photos below!

First Look: Kristen Wiig & Annette Bening in Indie Comedy 'Imogene'
Back in July we learned about the official production start of Imogene, new indie comedy from "Saturday Night Live" and Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig. The comedienne is producing and starring in the story of a moderately successful New York playwright (Wiig) who fakes a suicide attempt in order to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to be under the custody of her mother (Annette Bening), an obnoxious gambler. Now we have our first look at some photos from the film, and it looks like Bening is going to be having a lot of fun with this one. Also "Glee" star Darren Criss can be spotted doing some singing. See the photos below!

First 'The Hobbit' Trailer Expected to Arrive 'Just Around the Corner'
Briefly: Considering this nothing more than just some pure hype, as this is completely expected, but we're crazy for The Hobbit and it's good news to keep fans on their toes. IGN recently interviewed Andy Serkis and got in a few questions about The Hobbit, including when we might see a trailer. "There will be a trailer fairly soon, actually. Around Christmas time, I believe." Makes sense. As we hit December 14th, that'll be one year to the date of the premiere of the first movie, An Unexpected Journey. When asked what movie the trailer might be on, Serkis couldn't say, except that he is confident there's one "just around the corner."

David Gordon Green to Helm Even Mandery's Love Story 'Q' at Sony
Independent films like George Washington and All the Real Girls launched the career of director David Gordon Green before he moved on to raunchy comedies like Pineapple Express and Your Highness with longtime friend and film schoolmate Danny McBride (not to mention The Sitter also hitting theaters next month), but now the filmmaker will move on to a different genre. THR has word that Green is returning to Columbia Pictures to write and direct an adaptation of Evan Mandery's unconventional romance Q, a novel published in August involving time travel and a man's future selves trying to redirect his life. More below!
