Lionsgate Launches 'The Hunger Games' Official Poster Puzzle Hunt

The Hunger Games Poster Puzzle Hunt

Today marks the start of the 100 day countdown until Gary Ross' The Hunger Games arrives in theaters next March, Lionsgate's movie based on the popular book series. To celebrate the day, they've launched a massive poster puzzle hunt online, where 100 various puzzle pieces are scattered around the web and must be found to create/unveil the new official poster. We've got one clue (#12 of 100!) and there are many more to be found, mainly by searching for the #HungerGames100 hash tag on Twitter or following Facebook. I'm excited to see what the poster will look like revealed, so let's start finding puzzle pieces out there now!

Watch: Great Stop-Motion Animated 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' Opening

Raiders of the Lost Ark Stop-Motion Animation

Last month we featured the next big project from Jamie Benning, the man behind the extensive collection of fan-made Star Wars Trilogy documentaries, in the form of Raiding the Lost Ark, another in-depth look into the making of Raiders of the Lost Ark, the start of the Indiana Jones franchise. His love for the adventure series now brings us another treat as Benning (via Movies.com) has found a fantastic stop-motion animated recreation of the opening action sequence from the film featuring Harrison Ford and Alfred Molina, some terrifying tarantulas and of course, the infamous giant rolling boulder. Watch it!

Comical New International Poster for Josh Trank's 'Chronicle' Found

Chronicle

Boys will be boys. Yes indeed they will! Our friends at BadTaste.it have posted a new international poster for Max Landis & Josh Trank's Chronicle, the found-footage superpowers movie that we got a rather kick ass first trailer for a few months ago. Like the first teaser poster, this also features the three teenage boys who gain superpowers flying in the air, this time with that extra joke - of dropping a car onto the radio tower of a building. This movie looks like so much fun, I can't wait! And the marketing goes right along with it. I hope we see plenty more posters like this. How would you mess with your friends if you had telekinesis?

2012 Golden Globes Nominees - The Artist, Paris, Descendants & Help

Golden Globe Awards

The list of nominations for the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards, the yearly precursor to the Academy Awards, have just been announced - you can find all film nominees below. The infamous Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees this morning from The Beverly Hilton. Their nominees this year are a bit unusual, but almost exactly what you'd expect from the HFPA. The top nominees are The Artist, The Descendants and Midnight in Paris, hence my headline. I'm also happy to see Rooney Mara, Michael Fassbender and Albert Brooks (from Drive!) all getting deserved noms, too. Full list below!

Video Interview: Director Guy Ritchie on 'Sherlock Holmes' & Sequels

Guy Ritchie Interview

"I got a lot of expensive equipment moving very fast..." There's nothing like an interview with Guy Ritchie. This is the third time I've spoken with him and it is always an amusing experience, thankfully this time I captured it all on camera. Last week I interviewed Guy Ritchie, director of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, the sequel to his "reboot" of the classic Arthur Conan Doyle character Sherlock Holmes in 2009. Our chat ranges from the franchise being like a bouncing boulder, to growing up with Conan Doyle's Holmes, to working with the "volcano of creativity" Downey Jr. This is a good one, you've got to see it!

'Easy A' Director Will Gluck to Helm 'Secretaries Day' Action Comedy

Will Gluck

After turning in one great teenage comedy in the form of Easy A and a decent effort at a straight up romantic comedy with Friends with Benefits, director Will Gluck has made a decent name for himself on the big screen as a director who can pull some truly genuine performances out of actors. Now we'll see how he fares when with some action in the mix as Deadline reports Gluck is attached to direct a new action comedy called Secretaries Day, a project being developed from a spec pitch from writer Drew Pearce, the man behind the UK series "No Heroics" and the forthcoming Iron Man 3 script with Shane Black.

Rachel McAdams Joins Noomi Rapace in Brian De Palma's 'Passion'

Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace

It's been nearly a year since we've heard anything about the remake of the French drama Crime d'Amour (or Love Game) from director Brian De Palma. Titled Passion, the film finally seems to be making progress with Thompson on Hollywood reporting Rachel McAdams will join her Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows co-star Noomi Rapace in the remake of the film from Alain Corneau and starring Kristen Scott Thomas and European actor Ludivine Sagnier as two feuding corporate executives. Things take a dark turn when the older executive takes revenge on her protege. However, De Palma's version makes a slight change.

Paramount's New 100th Anniversary Logo Revealed + A Look Back

Paramount Pictures Logo

Paramount Pictures has unveiled a new logo that commemorates the studio's 100th Anniversary in show business. The new logo can be seen on Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol starting this weekend, December 16th, even though they hit 100 in 2012 (Paramount was found in 1912 by the Famous Players Film Company). Inspired by Jeff Wells' post on the "K2 or Everest-like peak surrounded by sub-arctic air" and his look back at logos of past, I've amassed a collection of eight of Paramount's logos throughout their history. There's always something that brings a smile to my face looking back at the history of the movie industry.

Natalie Portman Very Upset Over Marvel 'Firing' the 'Thor 2' Director

Natalie Portman in Thor

Or so sources claim. There's a very interesting article on Hollywood Reporter tonight, which is of course a very credible news source, about the recent news that Patty Jenkins would no longer be directing Marvel's Thor 2. We reported a few weeks ago simply that she would no longer be directing but would hang around at Marvel, now word comes out that she was apparently fired, for unclear reasons (the original report states "creative differences"). This confirms my big "uh oh" originally, as there is apparently something going on, as none other than Natalie Portman is now essentially up in arms, or "deeply upset", that she was let go.

Watch: First Official Trailer for Lionsgate's 'The Expendables 2' Arrives

The Expendables 2 Trailer

"I knew that one day would come when you were going to pay me back - and today's that day." Lionsgate has unveiled the first official trailer via Apple for the action sequel The Expendables 2, starring all kinds of action superstars, starting with Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth, Jean-Claude Van Damme and, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. I would honestly call this a teaser trailer, as it doesn't show much, but it will leave plenty of you jumping up and down. Fire up the Expendables 2 trailer!

Fox's First Teaser Poster for Ridley Scott's Sci-Fi 'Prometheus' Debuts

Ridley Scott's Prometheus

The search for our beginning could lead to our end. That's the tagline adorning the first teaser poster for Ridley Scott's return to sci-fi, Prometheus, which just got a big unveil today when one of these posters was found on display at a movie theater (see here). In the meantime, our friends at ShockTillYouDrop got their hands on what looks like a better photo, but still only a photo, of the poster in high res. It looks great and we owe them thanks until Fox puts this online in full. The poster shows Charlize Theron in her suit shining a light at half of the huge head sculpture we've seen before. Other than that, it's too dark to see anything else.
