Watch: Another Awesome Look Back at 'The Motion Pictures of 2011'
Our first retrospective video looking back at 2011 in cinema just hit a few days ago, now another in the long line of forthcoming videos has cropped up thanks to Kidnin (via Awards Daily). Unlike the first video recalling this year in film, this one only seems to slow down for seconds at a time with a fast-paced edit pretty consistent throughout. There are plenty more films included in The Motion Pictures of 2011 as well including some of my favorites such as Like Crazy, Win Win, The Beaver, Drive and many more. Kudos for some great use of Florence and the Machine and Depeche Mode to some fantastic cuts. Watch!

Chadwick Boseman & Harrison Ford Cast in Jackie Robinson Movie
Legendary Pictures has confirmed and officially announced today (via Deadline) casting for their upcoming Jackie Robinson biopic, set to be directed by writer/filmmaker Brian Helgeland. Up-and-coming actor Chadwick Boseman (seen above), seen in The Express and NBC's "Persons Unknown", will play the iconic baseball star Jackie Robinson, and Harrison Ford will play Branch Rickey, the MLB exec who "broke the color barrier" by signing Robinson in 1945. This sounds like it will be a spectacular film that will pay tribute to the legacy and impact of Robinson, especially with Legendary behind it and an actor they're confident in.

Watch: New Trailer for Zhang Yimou's 'The Flowers of War' with Bale
"Stop! This is a House of the Lord!" Wrekin Hill, the US distributors for this film, have debuted a new trailer on Deadline for Zhang Yimou's The Flowers of War, starring Christian Bale. This is China's entry into the Oscars this year and is a WWII story about an American man who comes to shelter and save a convent of young girls stuck at a church in occupied Nanking, China during WWII. I got to see this film recently and it's fantastic, Bale gives an outstanding performance, and it's riveting and emotional from start to finish. This new trailer captures some of that, and it's mostly in English so you'll understand all of it. Take a look below.

First Official Teaser Poster for Marc Webb's 'The Amazing Spider-Man'
The Untold Story... is returning to theaters! Over at SuperHeroHype they've unveiled the first official teaser poster for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man, starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, seen on the poster. While we've seen at least one colorful teaser poster before from Comic-Con, as well as the teaser trailer, this is a much more simple, dark black teaser poster that uses shadows to define the imagery. I think it's pretty damn cool and a definite mix in style from what I'd expect, which is why I totally love everything that Marc Webb is doing with this. You'll definitely want to see the new poster in full, so check it out below!

More Sneak Previews of 'We Bought a Zoo' Running This Weekend
"We bought a zoo!" That's one of little Rosie Mee's amusing lines from the film and it'll stick with you for a long time after you see it. While I wouldn't normally post about every sneak preview setup by Hollywood, this is one I will go out of my way to mention because I truly love this film. I caught Cameron Crowe's We Bought a Zoo, starring Matt Damon as Benjamin Mee, at its first sneak preview after Thanksgiving, and fell completely head-over-heels for it. Now Fox is hosting an additional set of sneak previews this Saturday (tomorrow), December 10th, and if you haven't seen this yet but are feeling the buzz, it's totally worth it.

Review: A Resolution List for 'New Year's Eve' Director Garry Marshall
Dear Mr. Garry Marshall: I know you've had lots of success in the past (Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, The Princess Diaries). Some of your films are among the most celebrated, romantic comedies in recent film history, but with your latest movie, New Year's Eve, which depicts a dozen stories in New York City all leading up midnight on December 31st, it seems like there might be some wheel spinning going on. So, in honor of the film's premise and with the actual New Years on the very near horizon, please take the time to read over this resolution list, if not for the new year coming up, then for your next film at least. Let's begin.

Fox Turning Cyberpunk Animated Short 'ROSA' Into a Feature Film
Last month the internet and Hollywood was all abuzz with a spectacular animated sci-fi short ROSA, and now the story is headed for the big screen. Heat Vision reports 20th Century Fox has picked up the short film from Jesus Orellana, the comic book artist who created the short and is slated to direct a live-action feature film adaptation of his original story that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where all natural life has disappeared. In one month, Orellana's exposure online got him agency representation followed by meetings with studios to pitch his short as the basis for a feature film which was actually his plan all along.

'TDKR' Operation 'Early' Bird Viral Unlocks Early Prologue Screenings
And here... we... go. As the time ran out on the Operation Early Bird site revealed just yesterday, instead of launching a viral game or any more clues, the site just simply forwarded to a map. Operation Early Bird, which was indeed way too on-the-nose with its name, is a "viral" site linked to The Dark Knight Rises revealed yesterday. The map shows numerous dots for cities where a screening is occurring on 10PM next Tuesday, December 13th, giving fans who could get to the site before it crashed an opportunity to see the new jaw-dropping, amazing, exhilarating six-minute prologue a whole three days before everyone else does.

Neil Marshall Heads Back to Horror with CBS Films Slasher 'Hellfest'
After journeying into the darkness with The Descent, director Neil Marshall is heading back to horror for a more conventional slasher film from CBS Films. Deadline reports Marshall is now in early talks to directing Hellfest, a film following a costumed killer who systematically slaughters the unsuspecting visitors who come to a theme park on Halloween night. Sounds like a really violent Goosebumps adaptation if you ask me, and the idea is to launch yet another horror franchise with a killer that could very well join the ranks of Jason Vorhees, Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers as ruthless killers who never seem to go away. More below!

Watch: Second Full Trailer for Peter Berg's 'Battleship' Isn't Any Better
"Keep firing!" Are you ready for this? Universal has unleashed the second full trailer via Apple for Peter Berg's Battleship movie, based on the classic board game. Alexander Skarsgard, Taylor Kitsch, Josh Pence, Brooklyn Decker and Rihanna all star, with Liam Neeson playing Admiral Shane, as Navy sailors fending off a huge alien invasion. We've seen one trailer for this already, but this one doesn't help quell any fears, it looks just as bad. If anything, I'd say it looks like Pearl Harbor meets Dark of the Moon, and it wasn't even shot by Michael Bay! Give it a look, it is action packed, and there is one cool shot at least.
