First Look: Matthew McConaughey is Sexy Uncle Sam in 'Magic Mike'
Pretty much everyone got to open up a few packages on Christmas yesterday, but today, we have some packages that might just be for the ladies. Warner Bros. has released the first official photo from Steven Soderbergh's male stripper drama Magic Mike starring Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer and some other ripped young men who will be scantily clad in theaters. The last time male strippers were prominent on film was The Full Monty, but these guys put the British gang to shame with McConaughey in his default shirtless form and Tatum and Pettyfer suited up for more than military action.

Steven Spielberg's 'War Horse' Video Review with Alex, Peter, Brandon
"Can you imagine flying over a war, and you know you can never look down?" I admit I'm a huge Steven Spielberg fanatic, mostly because I've grown up with his many films and love the epic storytelling he has a knack for. I was anxious to see War Horse, as it brings Spielberg back to the war landscape, which I personally love. I attended a screening of the film nearly a month ago and recorded a video blog at the time with our own Brandon Tenney and Peter Sciretta from SlashFilm, discussing our spoiler-free initial thoughts on the film we'd just seen. It finally arrives in theaters this weekend, so here is our video in full.

'Game of Thrones' Director Alan Taylor Now Set to Helm 'Thor' Sequel
Before Monster director Patty Jenkins was brought on to direct Marvel's sequel to this year's blockbuster Thor (and ultimately stepped away from the project, much to the chagrin of star Natalie Portman) TV director Brian Kirk was in talks to helm the feature. But now Deadline reports a Alan Taylor, a different director who has worked on the same series as Kirk such as "Boardwalk Empire" and "Game of Thrones," is in talks to direct the sequel written by the first film's co-writer Don Payne thus keeping it on track for its release on November 15th, 2013. Hopefully the quick rush to production won't hurt the film's quality.

Watch: Danny Trejo is Bad Ass in the First Trailer for 'Bad Ass' Movie
"I can't wait to see what this footage looks like!" This is one of those times when calling this trailer and Danny Trejo a badass fits perfectly, due to the film itself being titled Bad Ass and Trejo's character being nicknamed "Bad Ass" in it. Thanks to YouTube (via TheMovieBox), we've now got a look at the first short trailer for Bad Ass, an indie action-drama starring Trejo as a Vietnam vet who can kick anyone's ass and becomes a local hero when he becomes somewhat of a vigilante. I didn't know much about this before, but this film is definitely on my radar now, and I'm looking forward to watching it. Fire up this trailer below!

Watch: Promo Trailer for Broken Lizard's 'The Babymakers' with Munn
"I'm shooting good stuff, and I know this." An early promo trailer has leaked online from YouTube for an upcoming film featuring the Broken Lizard troupe called The Babymakers. As much as I've loved their films in past, Broken Lizard seems to have devolved into an unfunny group of straight-to-DVD filmmakers, but I still hope they make a good comedy again. The Babymakers stars Olivia Munn and Paul Schneider as husband and wife trying to have a baby. This is a rough promo trailer that doesn't represent the finished film, but as our first real look at this upcoming comedy starring Munn, I wanted to feature it today anyway.

Review: 'We Bought a Zoo', Brandon Bought a Zoo and So Should You
"We bought a zoo!" It's a line exclaimed by precocious, cherry-haired Rosie throughout the film to anyone in earshot. Strangers. Animals. Herself. And every time, her voice is pure. It's the embodiment of optimism. It's joy. Complete, unadulterated joy. There's a reason—sure, among more obvious ones—We Bought a Zoo is titled as such. It's that line. But, really, it's the emotion that line evokes. That joy. Cameron Crowe is a filmmaker who is able to capture, personify, and epitomize emotion better than most other filmmakers. Emotion is his currency. And he doles it out with impunity.

Interview: David Fincher Discusses Having Final Cut, Themes & More
To me, he is a legend. David Fincher, like Chris Nolan or Terrence Malick or the Wachowskis, is one of those incredibly talented (and fan favorite) but unreachable directors, not many people ever get to interview him. So when I got the opportunity to actually interview him in New York recently, mano-a-mano, it was one of those moments where my heart was already racing while replying "yes, I'll be there!" Our focus was obviously on Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, his new film based on Stieg Larsson's novel, now playing, but we also cover topics from having final cut, to themes that interest him in these stories and so much more.

Five Things from Holiday Movies That I Actually Want for Christmas
By now, if you haven't made a list of what you wanted for Christmas, you're probably getting a gift card or some money and will have to fend for yourself as Soccer Mom's and Football Dad's fight over the big deals at the mall. In my case, a lot of my most wanted items are movies and memorabilia from movies, but there are some things that you just can't get your hands on (or are very hard to find), especially from some of my favorite holiday movies. Below you'll find a list of five items from holiday movies like Jingle All the Way and Christmas Vacation that I would love to have in my hands. Feel free to send them my way!

Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit' Video Blog #5 is the Best Christmas Gift
What better way to spend your Christmas weekend curled up by the fire, humming the Dwarven folk song from the teaser trailer, watching another 12-minute video blog about the adventures of Peter Jackson as he continues to film the two Hobbit movies down in New Zealand. The fifth video blog for The Hobbit has just debuted on Facebook (thanks to @iRobulous on the tip & headline suggestion) and it's as spectacular and exciting as you have come to expect. They continue to focus on the logistics location shooting (which is fascinating to see), there's glimpses of Elijah Wood and Quint from AICN as a Hobbit, and more. Enjoy!
