Surely you can't be serious? I am serious. And don't call me Shirley. Though we lost both Peter Graves and Leslie Nielsen last year, their legendary talents live on through various roles in film and television. Now the actors will get a chance to bring some laughter back into theaters again as AMC Theatres has announced exclusive screenings of the classic spoof comedy Airplane! that's returning to theaters for two days only. Apparently the success of their 25th anniversary screening of Back to the Future inspired AMC Theatres to bring back more classics to theaters, but with only two showings, you'd better buy tickets now! Info below!
You'll only be able to catch Airplane! returning to theaters at 12:30PM on Saturday, January 29th and 7PM on Tuesday, February 1st (all times are local). You can see the entire list of AMC Theatres hosting the special screening right here, and just like the initial Back to the Future 25th anniversary screening, attendees will receive a commemorative, full-size Airplane! movie poster while supplies last. Unfortunately, the nearest theater on my end is about two hours away, so I'm not sure I'll be able to make this event. However, if you've yet to experience the exquisite comedy on display in Airplane! or have age appropriate family members who need to be educated on classic comedy, you won't want to miss this event. You can buy tickets at AMC Theatres official website. Will you board Airplane! again in theaters?
