Alison Brie Set to Join 'Five Year Engagement' with Segel and Blunt
She's probably going join the body count with her supporting role in Scream 4, but now "Community" star Alison Brie may also be venturing into romantic comedies. Variety reports the cute actress will join Five Year Engagement, the rom-com we heard about last November with Jason Segel and Emily Blunt. In a reunion of talents from Forgetting Sarah Marshall, director Nick Stoller is at the helm of the film which follows Blunt and Segel as a couple dealing with the ups and downs of a five year relationship. Brie will play Blunt's sister in the film which should bring the same hilarity and charm of Stoller and Segel's last collab.
Brie seems very excited to be joining the project as she says Forgetting Sarah Marshall is "really one of my favorite films ever." It's definitely one of the best romantic comedies of the past decade. In the film, Brie will apparently be putting on a British accent for the first time, but it doesn't sounds like she's worried too about that prospect. The actress says, "I've worked on accents when I was studying at Cal Arts and in Scotland and enjoy that kind of transformation." One thing's for sure, with both Emily Blunt and Alison Brie on board for this, the movie will certainly be easy on the eyes, assuming Segel doesn't have to show his penis again. But then again the ladies need some eye candy too, I guess, so we'll have to wait to find out. Sound good?
