With her turn as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises coming next summer, Anne Hathaway is going to be getting plenty of attention over the next year until the film's release. In addition, the actress will put her singing talents on display with the lead female role in Les Miserables alongside Hugh Jackman. Now the actress is getting into the behind the scenes action of filmmaking as a producer with news from THR that Hathaway will both star in and produce Puzzler, a new thriller set up at Paramount. Plot details are scarce, but the film is described as a female-driven paranoid thriller in the same vein as Three Days of the Condor.
Karl Gadjusek, the writer behind the forthcoming thriller Tresspass starring Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman is behind the script which will mark Hathaway's first producing effort. Hopefully this thriller fares better than her last effort in the genre, Passengers, which co-starred Patrick Wilson and didn't even make a million dollars at the box office when it was release back in 2008. Hathaway has quickly become one of the most sought after actresses in the industry, so it only makes sense that she would start doing her own business as a producer to make her own films.
