51 Poster

Since Paranormal Activity director Oren Peli's second found-footage film already took the title Area 51 (it's also mysteriously MIA in 2011), other similar horror flicks like this have to come up with something else. 51 is an indie horror opening in limited theaters in a few weeks from After Dark Originals. I've never heard about it before, but I usually haven't heard of most of those After Dark films. ShockTillYouDrop debuted the official poster and it's immensely creepy, which is why I thought a couple of you guys might get a kick out of seeing it. This actually stars Tron's Bruce Boxleitner, but he's not on the poster (or is he)? Check it out!

After Dark Originals' 51, directed by actor & filmmaker Jason Connery (who previously directed The Devil's Tomb and Pandemic), chronicles what happens after political pressure from the American public forces the Air Force to provide two well-known reporters with limited access to the most secretive base on the planet: Area 51. When one of the base's hidden 'long term visitors' exploits this visit as a chance to liberate himself and his fellow alien captives, Area 51 turns from a secure government base to a horrifying destination of terror. This sounds like Area 51 meets Quarantine, but it might be okay. Hits theaters on January 28th.
