Cheesy Scary Photo 'Viral' Website for 'The Woman in Black' Launches

A new "interactive" website has launched for The Woman in Black, the upcoming period ghost horror starring Daniel Radcliffe. A few weeks ago, with the new TV trailer, CBS Films put out a teaser poster featuring an old time photo with the eyes ripped out. I'm hesitant to call this a viral, because it's hardly close to one at all, but the site replicates that old photo with you, after you see what "they saw", so watch out. I was hoping to actually see a real viral website delving into the background of this ghost, since it's based on a classic story well-known in the UK, alas just another cheesy photo booth. Check this out anyway if you want.
You can visit the new "viral" site for this at whatdidtheysee.com or by clicking on the teaser image below.
A young lawyer (Daniel Radcliffe) travels to a remote village to organize a recently deceased client's papers, where he uncovers tragic secrets and encounters the ghost of a scorned woman set on vengeance. Watch the first TV trailer here or the full UK trailer for The Woman In Black if you haven't seen either yet.
The Woman In Black is directed by British filmmaker James Watkins, of the horror Eden Lake previously. The screenplay was written by Jane Goldman, of Stardust, Kick-Ass, The Debt, X-Men: First Class, adapted from Susan Hill's classic novel, published in 1983. CBS Films will be distributing The Woman In Black in the US, and has already set a February 3rd, 2012 release date early next year. Visit their official website.
