We already have two out of the three slapstick masters cast with Will Sasso playing Curly and Sean Hayes playing Larry, but it sounds like the final piece of The Three Stooges has finally been found. Deadline reports Peter & Bobby Farrelly seem to have settled on yet another unlikely talent to take on the role of Moe. As of now, TV actor Chris Diamantopoulos has emerged as frontrunner to play the bowl-haircutted stooge. In the classic series, Moe was always kind of the leader of the trio in whatever scheme or job they found themselves caught up in, so the role was an important one to get right. More details on the guy below.
Most recently this actor has put on a handsome face for roles as Frank Sinatra in "The Kennedys" and a role in 12 episodes of the last season of "24". However, the actor has also done voicework for "American Dad!" on the comedic side of the things. But perhaps the work that will most convince people of his comedic talents was playing Robin Williams in the made-for-TV-movie Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of 'Mork & Mindy, which is where the above picture comes from actually. Playing an off-the-wall comedian like Williams is no easy feat, and considering how many people the Farrelly Brothers have seen to cast this flick after over a decade of development, I think a choice like this can be trusted. Still, it will be very interesting to see how this long-developing comedy project finally turns out. Is anyone excited for this at all?
