Clint Eastwood Returning to Acting Again for 'Trouble with the Curve'
Though most of his work in the past decade has been behind the camera, Clint Eastwood has still stretched his acting chops in his own films like Gran Torino and Million Dollar Baby. However, now Deadline has word that Eastwood is using the production delay of A Star is Born to take a role in a film that he's not directing. Called Trouble with the Curve, the Warner Bros. project marks the feature directorial debut of Eastwood's longtime business partner Robert Lorenz, and follows an aging baseball scout, who’s losing his sight, and heads on a last road trip to Atlanta with his daughter to scout a hotshot prospect.
Eastwood and Lorenz are in the middle of closing their deals and once Warner Bros. locks them down, the search will begin for an actress is found to play Eastwood's daughter in the film. The collaboration between the two longtime friends and partners shouldn't be a problem at all since Lorenz has worked as assistant director on several of Eastwood's films like Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby. As for the story, it sounds a little too familiar to be all that riveting, but Eastwood rarely disappoints with his project choices as of late, so my skepticism is most certainly in check. at this point.
