'Easy A' Director Will Gluck to Helm 'Secretaries Day' Action Comedy

After turning in one great teenage comedy in the form of Easy A and a decent effort at a straight up romantic comedy with Friends with Benefits, director Will Gluck has made a decent name for himself on the big screen as a director who can pull some truly genuine performances out of actors. Now we'll see how he fares when with some action in the mix as Deadline reports Gluck is attached to direct a new action comedy called Secretaries Day, a project being developed from a spec pitch from writer Drew Pearce, the man behind the UK series "No Heroics" and the forthcoming Iron Man 3 script with Shane Black.
At this time no plot details have been divulged, but there's a good chance it involves a wrong-place-at-the-wrong time sort of scenario where a secretary gets involved in some sort of plot way over her head. That's just pure speculation of course. If it turns out to be an action vehicle for a female star, maybe Gluck can get Emma Stone or Mila Kunis to take on the role. Either way, Pearce is a hot commodity in Hollywood right now having also written a bit of Pacific Rim for Guillermo del Toro and recently being brought on board to script another sequel in the Sherlock Holmes franchise, so hopefully his first original idea is good.
