Eddie Izzard

Just recently we found out that Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides villain Ian McShane would play the dwarf leader in Universal's classic fairytale adaptation Snow White and the Huntsman. Now Heat Vision reports that the team of dwarves is beginning to shape up around McShane with comedian Eddie Izzard (Ocean's 13), Bob Hoskins (Hook) and Toby Jones (The Mist) snagging three of the dwarf roles. Izzard plays Tiberius, the biggest and burliest of the crew (not typical descriptions of Izzard), Jones plays a timid dward named Claudius and Hoskins plays a blind dwarf named Constantine. But there's more!

In addition, On Stranger Tides star Stephen Graham and Sherlock Holmes supporting actor Eddie Marsan will also play a couple of dwarves. That's a hell of a supporting cast to throw behind Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman and Charlize Theron as the evil stepmother. In this take on the fairytale, Snow White is a princess who who escapes her evil stepmother with the help of a huntsman who was to have killed her but now trains the princess to survive and fight back. It's not clear how the dwarves will come into play just yet though. I'm wondering if the actors will be made to look small in the same fashion as Elijah Wood and others were made to look shorter as hobbits in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. We'll have to wait and see.

These casting choices are a thing of beauty. "Snow white and the huntsman" won me over
